I almost guarantee you that you're getting way more enjoyment out of the game, since I've experienced pretty devastating character losses over the course of last year. At first, I was kind of bitter about people who use mods and cheat, but it really doesn't matter since it's a single player game. Due to it's open-ended nature, there's a multitude of ways to enjoy the game that doesn't involve imposing stupid stakes on yourself.
