>>50567664Thanks to the anon who recommended Violent Cop to me. The movie's story and its unfolding events thrilled me to my core, and the ending blew my mind. I wish I waited until the weekend to watch it with my friend, but it's worth watching again. Oh, and I thought the main actor Takeshi Kitano looked familiar, so I opened his wiki and he was the guy from MXC, and he also directed the movie. Double surprise. I will watch Demon City next as recommended by a different anon. Hopefully it's as good as Violent Cop.

Romance Jdramas always gotta be creepy. It’s either a minor and an adult, or a contract marriage, or in this case BOTH. You gotta have worms for brains to actually enjoy their media. They haven’t evolved at all from these plots for the last 20 years… there’s dozens of Chinese and Korean romance shows to pick from but for Japanese romance shows… you’re lucky if you get one mature solid drama a year. Embarrassing.And before people say it, I know there’s weird Korean and Chinese shows, but let’s not lie to ourselves about the ratio being the same. Whenever I ask people to recommend me good romance jdramas, they send me a list of the most garbage shows.

Although many kdrama romances are samey with rich chad and poor self-insert but that's a popular trope.
