I have this fantasy where I get married to a random enigmatic village lady. Weird girl, seems promiscuous but she's pleasant to be around, knows how to refuse people(men and woman), and has some business sense. I'd eventually ask my daughter about it, and she'd cry, tell her that mother always told everyone as kids that Father wouldn't love them if he knew and he'd leave them, and so on and so on, and how she'd swear to tell her spouse when the time was right. There's no timeframe given, so we can't even tell if they were originally from Takamagahara (doesn't match the myths), lived elsewhere on Earth (in which case Eirin wouldn't be in a position to teach them, and why would Tsukuyomi take them along to the moon when he only brought his close family along with him, unless they got married before the Lunar Capital was established, but then their husbands would come with them and they wouldn't have had any reason to become emperor on the filthy, kegare-infested Earth since all of them hate the Earth so much), or were they born after Tsukuyomi fled to the moon (in which case, why would Yorihime's son ever want to go to Earth, it doesn't mesh with how the Lunarians are established to be).No matter how I look at it, it doesn't really check out, especially if their father is really supposed to be the Dragon God, since he doesn't appear to be part of the Lunar Capital and is instead more involved with the Celestials, while entering a contract with the Sages and seemingly travelling without issue between various realms, which puts him closer to someone like Hecatia.Hell, it's not even a given that Yorihime actually has a son to become emperor, since no such person is ever mentioned, and the Watatsuki sisters only ever care about Eirin. In the case of the sisters, ZUN even explicitly changed their names a little, distancing them from their origins.We know that there was a Takamagahara at one point, and something that could be considered the Tenson Kourin, but the exact details of them likely differ from actual mythology. Since the Touhou Tenson Kourin is presumably the story of the soon-to-be Lunarians leaving Takamagahara, binding or brainwashing any "earthly" deities they saw as a threat or a tool, and finally leaving for the moon, it's hard to see it as a story of them coming to take claim of Ashihara no Nakatsukuni, since it revolves entirely around them fucking off.So anyway, the only thing we can be certain of is that Toyohime's son married his hot aunt, which definitely puts her leagues ahead of the mother of the child who was killed by his father through the presumed machinations of the boy's mother's husband's wife with the natural gift for being a bad wife.
