I've been rereading certain scenes to refresh my memory on Heaven's Feel and holy shit, I'm still in awe at how much "4th Day: Dojo-Church Holy Grail War, the beginning" does in ~40 minutes.>Finally tells us about Kiritsugu's past, something we've only had Saber allude to in the other routes>Tells about the Einzberns and their connection with himI can only imagine how surprising those can be to someone who's never watched Zero.>Sets up the concept of an Anti-Hero, Kirei literally uses the story of Angra Mainyu as an example without even mentioning his name>Sets up Kirei and his past, dude straight up tells Shirou how evil he truly isIt's actually insane. All of this gets told to the audience half a day after the first Berserker fight, if it was adapted into a seasonal anime it would've been episode 2 or 3 yet, they decided to adapt this route into a movie, meaning THIS ENTIRE EXCHANGE WAS CUT FROM IT. Some parts of the conversation were obviously reused, like the Kirei talk was put on the car scene and the anti-hero stuff on Illya's talk, and guess what? THESE ARE IN PART 2 AND 3 OF THE GODDAMN MOVIES, THEY HAPPEN COMPLETELY OUT OF NOWHERE AND WORST OF ALL, Ufotable HAD ALREADY MADE ZERO BEFORE THOSE 2 CAME OUT, SO HAVING KIREI SAY THAT FELL COMPLETELY FLAT ON THE AUDIENCE. HF has had to be one of the worst anime adaptations I've ever seen in my life, I can't believe it's the one the majority of people experienced.
