those of you solely attracted to anime/manga characters (nijikon) do you not consider yourselves queer somewhat?

even if you're a guy and only like female fictional characters.
>>
I still have no idea what queer actually means.
>>
>>50713872
A sexual minority.
>>
>nijikon
I've never heard that word and I'd never even considered it possible to be only sexually attracted to 2D until now.

ASS WE CAN

i thought 3DPD was a meme until i met a guy like that. In my mind, it's no different from someone being like...an objectum sexual.
>>
>>50713931
That's not what 3DPD means. 3DPD is an objective statement on the inferiority of 3D to 2D. It doesn't mean mental illness.
>>
i wouldn't say i identify with queer identity, whatever that means. but i realize i'm "deviant" sociologically speaking.

I have conceptual problem with this. If bisexuals, attracted to both their and the opposite sex, constitute separate orientation, and those
>solely attracted to anime/manga characters
were actually queer, wouldn't everyone attracted to anime characters at all be queer too, if of a different kind than those attracted solely to them?
But more to answer the actual question: no, I see those characters as distilled ideas/archetypes, both in looks and in how they act, so they are more aesthetically pleasing than 3dpd. Yet having impossible standards isn't the same as having different orientation.

a high amount of people find fictional characters attractive, so i don't think so. It's for the same reason that breast fetishism and buttocks fetishism aren't even considered fetishes anymore. If enough people have a certain thing, it is no longer considered deviant.

Meanwhile, there are only a small percentage of nijikon.

I don't know what queer means but I do want to do sexual acts with another person as long as we were both in cosplay (don't care if they were a man or woman as long as they look good in cosplay)
>>
>>50713856
That's not being queer, that's a porn addiction. Stop touching your junk and real women will turn you on again. Physically being with a woman is so much better than handjobbing yourself to a bunch of pixels.
>inb4 3DPD
Your obsession with "perfection" is a result of desensitization to hypernormal stimuli. Real love involves acknowledging a woman's flaws and loving her anyways. Also you're probably a kissless virgin.

2d girls aren't necessarily flawless, especially once we factor in their characters. Just to pull from Touhou, plenty of jerks and dubious personalities. It's more about how those flaws manifest differently in 2d than in 3d, more openly and coherently. 2d women, while still potentially surprising you, have more stable identities than 3d ones, which might be point of attraction.

Queer as in faggot or queer as in weird/unusual?
No to both, but I'm sure you're both

But Anon, Gensokyo is very queer.
>>
>>50721165
"queer" as a form of sexual self-identification is a westoid invention. it has no place in gensokyo or in here. if you wanna post fag flags there are plenty of welcoming places elsewhere

I'm exclusively a chubby chaser and sometimes I wonder if that makes me queer. I am not into a skinny woman at all, as in a skinny woman is no more attractive to me than a guy. Apparently a lot of people in middle/high school thought I was gay (I'm in one of the least obese states)

I'm a straight man and I only like women. Why would I label myself some flavor of gay for liking 2d women?
>>
>>50713856
Queer is a strange concept that lost it's actual meaning even among the western LGBT+ folks. For them being "queer" means that you're representing one of their preferred, normalized in their groups sexualities and cultures attached to them. Queernest became very non-queer in the western world.

The nijikon would definitively fit into queerness if you ignore how westoids fucked all the definitions by reinventing normative behaviors, puritanism and intolerance towards out-of-norm behaviors. Sadly a lot of studies about it are in Japanese language and stashed in various archives and libraries, but Patrick W. Galbraith is doing somewhat good job at presenting all the info in more digestible language and form.

Sure, to the normalfag I may be considered asexual or something. But I don't consider what I jerk off to to be some defining character trait. Please get a real personality.
>>
3DPD is not a joke it is a factual statement, representative of the reality in which we live. Those who aspire to the superior variety of love, the pureness of 2D, simply acknowledge this and live accordingly.

No, you prancing lala homo man, I am not a faggot nor would I want to be associated with any of your movements nor groups. I am quite happy being as I am, as I have been: far away from you. Post your garbage on /lgbt/ or /v/ where it belongs, please.
>>
>>50713856
Isnt being into 2d only basically asexual?
>>
>>50729411
Kinda
>>
>>50713856
No, because nowadays when you say "I'm queer" society will think you're gay.
I don't chug cocks btw.
