tl;dr - What ppl believed to be Rin Satsuki was actually a nameless character that ZUN used as a mascot for Team Shanghai Alice on like one doujin convent, basically the same level of importance as Beerko. Real Rin Satsuki only existed as a one stray line in the code of EoSD.
