Fellow japanfags: Do you tip?I really like that Japan is a no-tip culture and I don't want to see that change. But uber is really trying to guilt people into doing it. And I've been noticing "tip jars" go up on counters of restaurants all over the place.I do feel kind bad for these guys too, that this is the best job they can get in this economy..
>>50802829>I don't want to see that change.then don't do it
>>50802829Just leave a strip of paper in the jar with an email address on it. If they send mail just shoot one back saying things like "TIP: Don't smell the flowersThey're an evil drug to make you lose your mind".
They do it because they know all it takes is a small minority to do it before fencesitters follow and then everyone's doing it. Same happened in London. Tipping went from a high dining thing to being optional but at your discretion to being an automatic charge put on your bill. You can ask them to remove it but they'll often give you shit about it. And everyone looks at you like you're a stingy bastard. Don't cave. Resist until the end.
>Do you tip?No, and I better not see you do it.
>>50802829Ub*r excuse to pay these guys low
>>50802829If you tip in Japan you should die. Don't bring that poison.
