But it feels like it says so much less, and the writing and plot is just much weaker.. Well I guess to be fair it has one more heroine than that one did to focus on, that probably is really what added to the runtime. But in the end they also don't really matter or have interesting stories the sex here was pretty gratuitous unlike then when it actually was part of the plot. But the scenes were hot. I wish their dialogue was more varied though. The dude raping them even mentions they just say the same thing over and over all the time. Instead of pointing it out you could fix that. I guess it's in industry problem really though. Please let me save at the branching points. or make it easier to skip dialogue

Just played 魔法少女ノ魔女裁判. Fantastic in some ways, bad in others, I thought the ending was kinda shit with an underwhelming villain, but the overall trials felt better than the typical Danganronpa faire, everyone felt smarter than the usual idiot spouting 'herp derp, ghosts did it', but tended to play things too straight (no real twists that put the trial on their head other than case 4/5). Still, I wish Ema was more than just a moeblob. This is just my own personal thought, but I thought they were heading in a different direction rather than Hiro saving everyone by through the power of suicide and despair, but diverted during the penultimate case. After all, I kept expecting Ema to die in a climactic and impactful murder/suicide/etc, but it never actually happened, she just died like a normal victim in a generic case, rather than a climax. Moreover, I think they forgot that earlier on, iirc, they stated that to summon the great witch you specifically needed a sacrifice, nothing about 13 people in particular. What happened to that anyway?I personally thought that the witch-killing magic was something supplemental to Ema’s existing magic at the end of part one - something like Yuki’s magic that is being used through her as a puppet, rather than her actual magic, because it kinda is just a plot device that she never can really use, nor has a propensity for. Something having to do with bonds, or illusions, or something along those lines. There was a bunch of weirdness in the second half that made me think that Ema had through some manner or another remembered the other timeline along with the identity of the Great Witch (this was pretty obvious and her taboo was dug into enough by the end of the first half for her to know this). I honestly thought for several trials that SHE was the one who killed Meruru, and Mago intentionally took the fall for her during the trial (like she did near the end of the first part to save her life before, Ema also had the means, motive, and opportunity if she was conspiring with Mago), and that’s why her old allies were droppinglike flies (Mago, Koko, and Nanoka in just the first two trials). Aside from that, the second case had Ema randomly pick up a gun next to the corpse of who I thought was her ally, which seemed like obvious brainwashing to frame her and try to get her killed, along with the 3rd case which initially seemed more like a (failed) attempt to frame Ema for a fake death and, again get her killed, which made it seem like Yuki was trying to kill her. If they placed the ‘curse’ as the antagonist pushing people, no doubt Yuki could easily point them to off certain people.I thought Ema, Mago, and Koko - the final survivors, all were working together with knowledge of the future to try to solve the situation (Meruru, the guard, and the great witch), but were being countered by Yuki. But, uh, that wasn’t the case. It kinda miffed me how irrelevant Ema was for most of the second half, Hiro was more interesting, in many ways, sure, but she kinda stole the show from the original MC, and Ema has like, no agency whatsoever for the second half and just exists as a moeblob. There was other stuff I suspected originally that I think may have been more interesting in general. Like, looking at Ema, her roots and most of her hair is white, but the tips are purple (implying white is her natural hair color), and her eye color has similarites with Yuki’s. My thought earlier on was that Ema WAS Yuki, but quite literally gave herself schizophrenia, Ema being a mere magic-constructed personality and facade to appeal to others that gained a will of its own, with the ‘real’ personality residing inside. It’d fit with how all the magics seem to have a bit of relation to the person’s trauma, at least. Or at least, instead of just being a bystander (kinda a light sin compared to the rest of the cast, honestly), maybe it would have been better if she was the one to personally shove Yuki off the roof to protect Hiro, or if she actually did, deep down inside desire the death of humanity and had to be convinced by the usually cynical Hiro to not proverbially press that button. She just desperately needed some more to her.Aside from that, there was all sorts of unexplained stuff that felt like it was building up to a ‘Ema actually has illusion magic’ twist for the second half, and combined with foreknowledge, prevented all the executions. Hence Noa ‘dissolving’ and Gokuchou saying that it was odd, Nanoka and her sister exploding into gore and disappearing, Sherry/Hanna's execution where they quite literally disappeared instead of becoming gore, it made me think that someone, probably Ema was pulling an illusion trick for the entire second half for all the executions. But that lead nowhere, probably because if they went that direction, only a fraction of the cast could survive, right?
>>50859486The dreadful English subtitle and five planned release languages are enough for me to be 99% sure I have no interest in reading this.

Cause I agree with them.Except I also think the prose is good. I really do think it's well written, for the style the author goes for.I won't deny it could be trimmed a bit, but overall it's one of those VNs that just leaves you in awe.
>>50862631its not even just the prose, i dont get how people like the *plot*. it's so melodramatic and there are so many points in the story where it feels like the author wants you to cry to a scene or flashback, i couldn't get all the reviews that were like "this game destroyed me :(". the convoluted plot, the meandering prose, and the length of the game (holy shit was the true route long, there were like three points i thought the game would end and it just kept on going) gave the vibe of the whole thing feeling like a fever dream which was the only way i could enjoy the game.
>>50862631>Maybe I really missed something by dropping this vn but I feel like I wont have the sheer willpower to go through this prose again.I forced myself through it but nothing in the true end landed because I was just tired of it by then. Not doing that again.
>>50862631>pacing and the prose...
>>50862650its definitely an oneiric piece of work so it would make sense to read it as a fever dream. >>50862670>if you could elaborate on that it could be interesting because i really dont get itThe art and the music work together to produce a dreamy atmosphere. The text had, at times, an almost hypnotic effect on me, really pulling me in.The visual depiction of the Night along with the music made me feel almost like I'm witnessing somewhat sacred. Which is what I presume the author was going for. But being objective, if the game didn't work so well on me, I can see myself saying these things >>50862647The plot certainly does get convoluted at the end.

ron paul /jp/i started learning jap some time ago and thought i'd play some games in japanese to immerse. i already had hyke and volcano princess installed (i know they're not vns). i gave it a go and proceeded to spend like 1-5 minutes on every speech bubble, just constantly using a popup dictionaryi know this isn't /djg/ but i was wondering how did people who started learning and playing do, did it take the same amount of time or am i just extremely shit at reading?>inb4 go to /jdg/fuck no, miss me with that schizocentral
>>50868896>just constantly using a popup dictionarygimped and ngmi
>>50868916say it ain't so
>>50868896how much is "some time ago?" can you read moeshit? can you read anything?everything is a pain when you first start, you just have to find something that doesn't burn you out too fast and keep consooming
>>50868896I started with a slice of life eroge, and i remember taking 2 months to finish it because some days i wouldn't want to read, because a 5 minute conversation would turn into 90 minutes of reading because i was a newbie, all you have to do is summon the strength to keep going, having a favorite story that you really really want to read helps with this.
>>50869041for beginners i would recommend either something with gameplay like a jrpg or something you have already readas for the rest, try actually reading some moeshit for 5 minutes without troonhookers: if you are completely lost and have no idea what you just read then you should go back to vocab/grammar decks for a while. otherwise just read more
>>508690212 years ago, but i started with like "hey 10 anki cards per day" and i'm extremely forgetful, so i wouldn't really call 15 minutes a day "learning".i'm reading yotsuba and probably gonna start something else soon. yotsuba, some pages i read whole without any help, some others i have to look word up cause "hot air baloon" issn't exactly common i suppose.>>50869041thanks anon, ssometimes i get discouraged but i enjoy reading and learning, so i power through it>>50869054>try actually reading some moeshit for 5 minutes without troonhookeras in, manga like yuruyuri or some such? probably gonna do that too.thanks anons. another problem is that i have really terrible memory. as in "forgeting words in my mother's tongue" memory>why the fuck are you learning japanese theny-you too

>>50868896Advice from my experience many years ago:-Don't bother reading things you're uninterested in "just because they're easy". I downloaded tons of raw manga thinking I would practice with them, but I was uninterested in actually getting around to them. I tried Pokemon games in Japanese "because they're readable for kids" and the lack of kanji actually made it more of a chore to read. What I was very interested in was VNs, and that's what got me to stick with it. Focus on material that personally motivates you enough to keep up with even when early reading attempts are slow. And they WILL be slow, but as you read more you'll slowly get faster.-That said, if moege DO appeal to you then that can be a good place to start in terms of difficulty.-Study grammar if you haven't already. I read Tae Kim's grammar guide, and I took a few notes to have reference sheet to revisit for refreshers.-Back then, I used a texthooker (AGTH), with none of the MTL options, just the parser which helped me make sense of sentences and grammar I was looking at. It also made it easier to copy and paste new words into Jisho dictionary.-When I encountered new words, I put them into my Anki custom deck to study.
Sorry that I'm asking here but the djt thread is braindamaged.Trying to play mahosaba on steam, however texthooker doesn't seem to be able to connect to it. Both versions. Did anyone here play that game? Did you run into the same issue? My japanese is not good enough to read it without any assistance sadly.

>>50869356Oh I was using the old textractor, that new one worked. Thank you didn't know that existed!
>>50869444How does one manage to draw dark green skin instead of chocolate?
>>50869395Yeah it basically grabs the text into a separate bar under your game window. There are options to MTL the text, but you can turn those off and just use the option that parses text which can make it easier to follow sentences when you're in the early stages of reading JP. Once you get more comfortable reading sentences you'll be able to graduate from using it, but it can be a helpful tool for beginners. This is of course an optional tool, but I personally found it helped me with the first several games I read.

>>50869455600 hours of immersion and I can't imagine myself not using a hooker. Looking up words in a dictionary is important for progress; using tools is t's a matter of convenience.Well, I can imagine people who only read moege, watch anime or play games can get away without a hooker, but this won't work for plotge enjoyers
>>50869839I used a hooker for my first three years of reading and if I had to start over from scratch I'd absolutely use one again. It is a crutch and it is important to wean yourself off of it sooner or later, but when you're starting out you need all the help you can get and a text hooker is one of the most efficient ways to get help there is.
>>50869839>but this won't work for plotge enjoyersIt will when you learn Japanese.
>>50869839Assuming you're not still needing to look up words every line, you likely don't need a texthooker at that point. There're phone apps to look up kanji with your camera if you come across unfamiliar vocab. Or if I can still understand through context then I'll just take a screenshot, continue reading, and search up the word later for studying.

>>50870719I don't know what that anon was referring to buthttps://github.com/Chenx221/Textractor/releases/tag/dev
>>50868896Ignore the other advice. What you want is to watch TV/drama/anime with Japanese subtitles OR an eroge/game with a high amount of spoken lines. So something like Axanael, which is all voiced. You want to link the sounds to the respective characters/words. This is how we learn language naturally. You significantly both slow down your learning progress by trying to read (without sound). When you are more intermediate/advanced, you can go on to reading manga/books/narration-heavy VNs, but until then voiced content with Japanese subtitles ONLY.

Immersion is good and all but it is also a wasted effort if you still have no idea how the grammar works. Japanese grammar is highly idiosyncratic and unusual compared to many other languages (korean speaker might have an easier time though) and I don't think immersion will teach it well. I suggest on learning how the Japanese grammatical particles work (の,に,ね etc) and read through Tae Kim's Japanese grammar guide (that's what I did) also Imabi for more information but generally reading Tae Kim's and keeping up with immersion will put you in the right path.

I got to the end of Arcueid's route of Tsukihime and I'm not really feeling it. I didn't particularly care for KnK either so I'm not too surprised but I think I actually enjoyed KnK more. Of course I read the entirety of KnK vs not even finishing a single Tsukihime route, but while KnK has much lower lows, it also had a lot higher highs. I don't feel much of anything in Tsukihime so far, and knowing that Ciel's route is gonna be more of the same makes me not wanna continue. I am curious in the Far Side stuff but I'm not gonna skip to it, nor am I gonna continue reading something I don't like.Learning nippongo really did fuck me up. Despite finding it to be an extremely easy VN to read, with how beloved it is by so many people my brain anxiously assumes that I'm just blatantly misunderstanding and not comprehending the text. Like I can't possibly dislike it, it's just that my Japanese is too awful. Which doesn't make any sense, as I've read much harder things and loved them. I don't like not liking this VN either, I'm actually pretty disappointed but I ended up ruining my entire NEET day just because I felt like a failure for NOT liking it. I'll never understand anons who can so proudly say stuff is shit, I guess I do it too sometimes but it hurts when something just doesn't click. Sorry for my autism.

When I dislike something popular my brain just assumes that everyone else in the world must be wrong and clearly only my genius self who has perfect taste can truly perceive reality. But no, you're not alone. I was excited to read some of Nasu's stuff in Japanese because I'd tried it in English and thought it was terrible. I assumed I just disliked it because of the translation, but no, it actually turns out I don't like his writing at all regardless of language. And you shouldn't ever feel bad about this stuff because it's never that you "didn't get it", and you'll permanently never be able to enjoy it. It might just not have clicked with you yet. I've completely flipped my opinion on some of the things I've read after going back and giving them a second chance; maybe this is one of those times for you.
>>50874194It wouldn't have mattered, if anything I'm pretty confident that my Japanese fiction reading comprehension is better than my English. It's moreso, being a NEET I've tied too much personal worth into knowing Japanese that I get anxious easy over it, and whenever I dislike a classic my brain tells me it's a failure of language, rather than me just not enjoying something.>>50874196I'd wanna do the OG, I did hear after looking stuff up that the Near Side stuff is better in the remake, so if I ever go back it'd be through that but if anything I might just power through the end of Arc's route and call it.>>50874208>I'm a huge contrarian so I never have this issue. When I dislike something popular my brain just assumes that everyone else in the world must be wrong and clearly only my genius self who has perfect taste can truly perceive reality. My self-esteem is just too low for me to think like this (for the most part). And it's true I can always go back, my brain is just stupid. Thanks for the response though it made me feel better, I can't seem to click with Nasu's writing either.

Finished anemoi, to summarize it's even more of a melting pot of all past key plots than sumpock.Don't play it if you don't like tragic endings, it's even more extreme than past games with this shit. For people who want some spoilersevery heroines, and some side ones, and I do mean EVERY is either dead, dying or some sort of energy being that disappear in the wind. There is a Clannad after story style scenario following Spica's route where she and Mugi start living together, this scenario ends with her giving birth and disappearing in the void, by that time every other heroines is gone forever, that includes Rikka the sister.the final scenario is about him raising his daughter with the help of the town, she almost disappear too but end up becoming super immortal jesus instead, by that time she is 10 and will never grow up much to her dismay, the route ends with her going on her journey to find a way to get her mother back, leaving her father to wait. And boy does he wait, the epilog happens 60 years later, where she finally comes back with Spica (or is it a dream? dum dum) during his final moment, he dies in Spica's arms, the end

>>50874216I would say don't force yourself to go through the remake afterwards. Give it some time, and then years later then try either the remake or mahoyo once you're craving to get immersed in something. Because I had the same experience as you, read tsukihime first long ago in ENG didn't vibe with it, read it when I got good at JP, affirmed that it just wasn't for me. But at some point I ended up just really wanted to read something I can get my teeth into, the shiny new remake got my attention, and once I tried it I got sucked in. Made me go back to the og, and properly go through the whole nasuverse even immersing myself in shitty spinoffs. Enjoyed every bit. I can't really explain why, the content was the same, Nasu's style of writing and "tastes" in certain things were just as understood as before, but this time actually clicked for me and ended up being an invaluable experience. It's kind of frustrating that we work this way. It feels like no matter how much we try to look at things objectively and logically dissect reasons why we like or don't like something, why we feel certain ways, those feelings are just so inconsistent. Just hurts my pride and sense of identity, I don't know. Same experience happened to me with Haruhi by the way.

This is it lads, eroge/VNs no longer works as escapism for me(almost 13 years reading).Last year i only read 4(i dropped one and only read one single route from the other), and this year i still have not started anything because they no longer work, i lived a frugal life with different kind of shit jobs for years with no regards for my future since i had videogames and visual novels to escape to, so during all that time i didn't care about my current situation, but that no longer works and i've woken up from my dream, and now i feel dread.Im going to quit my job, move back to my parents place and see if i can change things for the better.Sorry for blogshit, If you are a retard like i was(32yo) always keep in mind this can happen to you and your "drug" will stop working, so you better start building a contingency plan in case this happens to you.
>>50874884If it's an untranslated vn on nyaa, you should type in japanese, not in romaji. Eroge are only available on sukebei nyaa.Shinnuku is lowkey better than nyaa for niche VNs. For example you won't find 蒼色輪廻 on nyaa, but there are multiply releases for it on shunnuku. (生肉 is japanese release, 熟肉 is chinese translation)As others said, there is also ryuugames, but most download links are dead, and terabox's speed sucks ass if you don't have a premium
>>50875477have you read steins;gate?
>>50875477list some vns you liked
>>50875477just read more nukige
>>50875477Do you daydream? In the end my escapism boils down to what's in my head, vns and such are just supplements for that. I practically live for playing a good immersive fantasy in my head, so take media consumption away from me and I'd still be content (I'd just be less creative.) If somehow I stop feeling anything from even this form of escapism though, then I'd probably just call life quits then and there. When you say you're changing things for the better, it makes it seem like you enjoy other things in life than simply escaping into fantasy. So your "drug" in this case was probably just getting in the way of those other things, and now you're on your way to living the normalfag lifestyle that your values have already queued you for.

So now more often when I read a story I'll put myself in the author's shoes and think about why they made the decisions they did. And this sometimes leads me to finding something to appreciate about a story and thus liking a story where I wouldn't have found that and wouldn't have enjoyed it, say, five years ago. And in some other cases I find something I used to enjoy is no longer quite so much to my taste. But much more of the former than the latter. This kind of shift in perspective is normal and healthy, and it doesn't require to sacrifice your inner child and become a normie to experience it.
Bought several eroge on DMM for the first time, including a few I had recently pirated. Feels good.JPY exchange rate is great for me right now, and got enough points to probably pick up a couple more discounted games.

His sister (current) is an android. The long journey the protagonist talks of is him literally travelling from the past to the future. That's what the storm does. Don't know what's the issue really, I liked Musicus so the direction ca'nt be it, most of the girls are good, the scenaio's concept is better than supernatural shit they finally pulled away from. How do I stop the fact that all characters are voiced by disgusting 3DPDoids from ruining my experience? Give me your most insane copes and mental gymnastics, anything will do
Didnt expect it but awayuki route made me cry a bit, that ending sequence was really coolThe game definitely lacks something on the fundamental level, some more worldbuilding or substance or something of that sort, all the characters and routes feels disconnected from each other so it's hard to actually immerse
>>50891599Every game gives you the option to turn off the voices.
>>50891654But I still want to hear characters talkI like the voices I hate the fact they belong to 3D humans
>>50891599The only important thing about a heroine is how you feel about her.I could buy the intellectual property rights to your favorite heroine's visual novel and make a sequel where she hooks herself on drugs and gets twenty STDs from loose sex and dies from aids. Would that change how you feel about her? SHOULD that change how you feel about her? You're the audience. You're the important person here. The story exists for you.If there's a shitty sequel, you can and should say, "That doesn't count because I say so."If you dislike one of the people who created a heroine you love, you can and should say, "They don't count because I say so." Even if it's for a really shitty reason like not being able to accept someone because they are a real flawed human being, like you and me and everyone else is.I think the healthier thing to do in the long term would be to come to terms with that. Maybe watch some interviews with some seiyuu who voiced characters you love, try to see things from their perspective and appreciate them. But you don't have to. You can absolutely just say, "The version of this heroine that exists within my soul is the only one that matters to me."
>>50891599ironically what helped me was actually learning more about or even getting into those said 3dpd seiyuu... or just watch/listen to content that shows you how differently they talk irl vs how they sound in character
>>50891605>Didnt expect it but awayuki route made me cry a bit, that ending sequence was really coolDoes game have usual maeda-like nakige drama, or did they change things a bit?
>>50892335The drama doesnt feel needlessly heavy like what maeda always do, it's more on the lighthearted side with high pacing where you dont really feel any burden reading it but you also dont feel much emotional impact either until you reach the very climaxIt doesnt help that the setting of the route is pretty ridiculous and comes out of nowhere with no explanations or connection to the main game whatsoeverThe concept was still really cool and not something you see often so if you manage to disable your brain and enjoy the picture it can get pretty enjoyable

Bro should just go write for a gacha at this point.I don’t know the writer, but the second I saw the constant proper-noun spam and the “new route, new faction” structure, I knew this was a certified LN slop merchant at work. The Sakura route actually balances the romance and lore pretty well, but the other three are just mid moege padding into “wait, what are we even fighting now?” territory. Not really my thing.Every fight is the same “FRIENDSHIP! LOVE! BONDS!” power-of-feelings charge-in. By the end I was fully checked out, because apparently emotional conviction is now a combat system. The TE does nail a pretty romantic atmosphere by the end, but the boss’s motivation still made me feel like I was reading on 2 HP.I liked the white-haired miko in the back half of the blondie route, though. Tragic that she doesn’t get her own route.Redhead route was just doing too much.Imouto route: the nukige bits honestly wreck the pacing. >>50893165>i mean theres a reason why entire japan got so addicted to it,Yeah, money.
>>50893200It is possible to just read blue archive story on youtube so it wasn't too bad
>>50893200>every aspect of BA’s story and design seems to be built around it being a gachaThis is true for the majority of chinese gacha for what I hate them with a passion (such as characters completely disappearing from the story the moment their banner ended ect.) and that's exactly the reason why BA stands out so much. All of the characters no matter how old they are keep constantly recurring in the story and keep their original relevance. The worldbuilding is really impressive for a gacha game and even though there are many weak parts such as beginning, the highs are definitely worth your time.
>>50893222What I’m saying is the fact that it is a gacha influences the way the story is written. It doesn’t matter if you watch it on youtube or not.
>>50893228Eh, I’m skeptical. This is not the first gacha I’ve seen people make this claim for. Either way Totsuraba has a leg up over Blue Archive since it actually has an ending, sex scenes, and voice acting.
>>50893259I also was skeptical since I had zero good experience with gachas before so I didn't get into it till like 2 years ago. What managed to hook me is randomly getting recommended the PVs on yt and getting impressed with the music (which is the strongest part of the entire game for sure). What got me to actually stick was the ridiculous amount of fan art content it gets, no eroge ever can compete with the amount of sex even some of the least popular characters get.For eroge you finished it, fapped just enough and then the game starts slowly fading in your memory unless you decide to reread it one day. Meanwhile with BA it's just non stop stream, I can keep fapping to the same few characters every single day for years and there will constantly be a flow of new content with them flooding my twitter and pixiv feed every single day, and even after 2 years none of the original characters I fell for from the beginning have faded up for me even for one bit.
>>50893301moogy...
>>50893301>Meanwhile with BA it's just non stop stream, I can keep fapping to the same few characters every single day for years and there will constantly be a flow of new content with them flooding my twitter and pixiv feed every single day, and even after 2 years none of the original characters I fell for from the beginning have faded up for me even for one bit. This is exactly why I hate gacha fans. Who the fuck wants an endless stream of slop instead of a perfectly curated experience where you know that every single detail had a purpose? Is this how all gacha players think? I don’t want endless entertainment, I want something with a vision.
>>50893344You can always have both. I always going to value the the properly crafted game with definitive ending more as the emotional impact you get from it will always be higher. But I also got to enjoy the day to day experience I get especially on the busy days. Just scrolling up phone and getting some cute manga or art with the characters I love is already enough to make my day, and if you consider all the fan content as slop you probably haven't seen much because the quality here can go really damn high.

>>50893344>Who the fuck wants an endless stream of slop You could argue the same with any long running series be it VN, LN or manga. The difference between a endless wave of slop or a sequence of perfectly curated experiences is just the writers team talent. I feel like the main problem for Gacha's is just locking down that S tier poster boy writer for 3+ years to write all the story. Even games like Heaven burns red or Fate grand order that are sold on the main writers involvement (Maeda and Nasu) outsources large chunks of story content to different writers. The (admittedly many) problems that arise from the Gacha format are small fry compared to that.
>>50893527>be it VN, LN or mangadishonest cope, linnies and manga are a serialized medium therefore they will never be kino99% of vinnies aren't a "long-running series", that's why they are good, because the ending is already set in stone at release
>>50893527When you force a writer to write something for years it inevitably going to lose the quality over time as it will slowly be turning from a passion project to just work and a chore to do for the paycheck so I would rather them outsource when necessary to different writers so long it's under control of the main director. The gacha stories always tend to be resurrecting once something happens to the main writer...
>>50893527this is correct. non-serialized VNs have the same problem with multiple writers
>>50893657Multiple writers problem is so apparent with key and especially now with anemoiThey been working with literally exact same team as summer pockets and even after all these years of cooperation their scenario still feels so disconnected from each other which just ruins all the efforts put into it

Is there an anemoi crack that won't set off every antivirus in the world
>>50893466No.
>>50895512Antiviruses are Reddit.Just use your experience to recognize what's safe.
>>50891599>>50891665Trying too hard
>>50895512Seems like youre lucky. You can get the disc version update 1.1 from AS, apply it and then use a crack for it which seems to be a simple DVD check being patched out.
>>50895446You made me excited because i thought it was an append patch with some extra story timeskip :(
>>50895446Isn't it just a sprite viewer and stuff like that?
how does anemoi compare to summer pockets
>>50897019the same. i guess the dialogue has a bit more depth than what felt like a childrens book with samapoke but if you didn't like it you wont like anemoi either. if youre still burnt out on that 50 hour playthrough, pushing through anemoi is going to feel the same too.i dont know what it is about modern key but i just don't really like this direction. its shiny and new though so erogamers still eat it up, im a victim of this too

>>50897489ONE is essence of late 90s kino, in a sense it captures vibe of depression in japanese youth of that time and desire for eternal happiness and safe place.only outright cringy bad parts are SOME H-scenes(not even all of them, like half of them were perfectly fine), otherwise I understand why this was such big hit back then and why it resonated with its audience so much.

When you guys are not vibing with a game how long does it take for you to just move on to another game instead of just struggle through it? When you do actually move on how often do you revisit the game that you dropped?
>>50901545immediately, there's too many vns to bother with something you're not having fun with
>>50901549The thing is I think I'm too fucked in the head in thinking that I must like the game so I struggle through days of agony and end up wasting more time compared to if I just dropped it earlier. I should drop more often since there are many vns and video games that I want to play.
Literally me. Been doing better now that I've gave myself more leeway dropping anything at literally any time. I still end up going back to things again if I get a sudden flash of being in the mood for it once more, and even if then I wanna drop it again I will. Sure, not remembering things, needing to start over, needing to reinstall split rar iso's from shitty download hosts, it all does suck a bit. But I'm assured its practically always there for me if I wanna return. So that assured feeling while actively experiencing vns, is better than that feeling of stagnant agony when I tried to force standards on myself, which just shackles me into inactivity. Literally just do what you feel like, when you do. Much less regrets this way, finished way more vns like this.
