There's no just a fangame thread anymore? Man...My ancient GoSfriends of old, I need your assistance. It's for sale on Steam, and I want to know how it compares to the OG game and Weekend, especially in terms of difficulty. I want to actually buy such an excellent game for once, but not if it's been made stupid easy for something, and after the nerfs in Weekend I could absolutely see that happening. Also, has the music been changed? I can already see the attack graphics are new.
I have the same question and read some of the reviews of the remake. It looks good, if you were fine with the changes in Weekend then the remake is no problem.
>>50898167>if you were fine with the changes in Weekend then the remake is no problem.I don't know if I was. Weekend felt miles easier than OG. I think it was only a small exp boost and more drops, but either this was all experience talking or that added up to a lot.
My memories of the original are faded and of Weekend nonexistent, but I had quite a good time and a decent amount of trouble with the Steam version of the game. The real negative thing is lack of a minimap, which I didn't even realize was an issue until I heard it existed only in the PSP version and then I got mad that it was lost in the transition to other platforms and inevitably Steam. It's not an issue in most maps but by the time you get to I wanna say Garden of the Sun it becomes maddening not having any directions, but it's been a while since I played the Steam version too so...
The music seems unchanged, and the difficulty is easier. You will have access to more tools at once, having separate sections for basic spells/skills and spellcards. More concurrent options let you have a bit more coverage/counters, which increases the amount of fights your team can beat. Pretty sure the drop rates are increased even from Weekend, which was only a positive to me. Less time pointlessly grinding is nice, especially when I don't want to overlevel.I picked up the Steam release mostly to experience the V content. Which yeah, the "post-game" part is still less fun than the main storyline, but I did enjoy almost all of the new stuff. I'm not sure how much, if anything, is NEW compared to that, but some of the new quests were hell to complete. Looking at you, level cap unlock. That said, I did not 100% the game before running out of steam, though I did complete the final boss.Overall, recommended game. Enclosed pic is my status screen. Obviously the game time is gonna involve a little AFKing and not include the times I hit Alt-F4 because fuck RNG sometimes.
Hard difficulty is the regular OG difficulty but with higher drop rate

>>50900305>>50900364>>50900424Thanks, friends. What about Satori's learn rates?
>>50900831It got boosted in Weekend and probably again in V.
>>50900831Pretty sure it's a minimum of 30% when you have the learning tree maxed, with plenty being guaranteed. Certainly don't recall struggling with learn rates compared to being targeted by skills. There's some specific spellcards you may wish to farm in one-time encounters, but they aren't missable. Zalam Iblis, Jesus Crush, Rowing Flame, Frozen Coffin, Gibnut Zarnica should all be available from a guaranteed one-time encounter during a post-game quest. It just becomes a giant pain in the ass to the point where I hex edited the skills I missed to slap my own Satori with it.
