How do I adjust the padding in my mask (i.e. remove what's there and replace it with something slimmer)? I physically cannot put it on because the padding around the nose is too thick but I'm worried I'll end up breaking something if I try removing it (still very new to this, if that wasn't apparent).

I went from having my first mask crush my nose within seconds to being able to wear it for hours comfortably, so try to put it on at a different angle so it rests better on your head and face. Adjusting the pads on the top of your head can be surprisingly helpful as well so your mask is placed at a slightly different height relative to your nose. I also found out that my masks sit better on my head when I wear the hada so I'd recommend you wear your hada (at least the hood on your head) when making adjustments, even those milimeters of extra thickness can make a difference. If you just want to remove the nose pads altogether, make sure how they're attached to the mask, be very gentle (maybe you can scrape off a little bit of the material instead of ripping it off?) or ask your maker for advice.

Sorry for the negativity but I really don't have anyone to share this with. The more I get into this hobby the more I feel like it's not for me and I should just fuck off altogether. There came a point where whenever I want to put my kig on, I ask myself: what's the fucking point? I have zero friend to kig with, nobody to share the hobby with, not even someone I can ask to take picture for me. I tried going to cons but all I felt was further isolation, as people looked at me weird, like I didn't even belong, and before you ask, I have a normal BMI of 21.6. I don't even earn enough to afford travelling to anywhere in my country let alone abroad, and I can't afford all the fancy toys other kigers have either, and because of that, I can't even socialize well with them because I have fuck all to talk about other than kig. I know kigging for myself and all that but when all I do is kigging in my cramped room taking picture of myself, it gets stale. I'm afraid to even open twitter because all I feel browsing the feed is jealousy. I don't really know how much longer I can last.
