2 hours of study most days (less on days where I literally can't). I'm barely N5, am I retarded?
>>50963843Not necessarily. Maybe you aren't doing it correctly.
>>50963843How are you studying?
>>50963843no, I'm kind of in the same boat, been studying maybe 10 years off and on and still struggle with the online N4 testsit is a hard language
I can read stuff easily but I struggle to form sentences.
>>50963854>>50963931Well everyday I do at least 30 cards on Anki, I try to read at least two stories on Yomu, and I immerse myself with anime and video games. I usually spread it throughout my day. Also occasionally going onto Japanese Wikipedia and copying words I don't know into Jisho, and using Bunpo to learn sentence structure. Usually it adds up to about 2-3 hours altogether.
You either have brain damage or the worst study routine of all time.
Have you tried forcing youself to talk in Japanese? I actually took a Japanese class a few years ago, told the professor straight up I wanted him to put a gun to my head and force me to talk. VRChat is a meme, but it is somewhere you can go and practice. I'm lucky, my workplace is crawling with engineers we imported from Japan, so I have to talk in my shitty broken Japanese every day. Watching something that isn't anime might help, like the news. I've been watching a lot of Hiroshima news, and a Hiroshima-ben educational show lately.
>>50963843I've been doing 3 minutes of Duolingo every day for 3 years and I'm N4, so I'd say yes, anon.
>>50963968if you do that for a year straight you'll be goodthat would be like over 10k cards in ankii hope those cards are vocab cards with context on the back and that your rentention is over 80%Other than that, >>djt
>>50964490Can't afford classes and don't have the time
>>50964585They are vocab cards but my retention is much lower. Takes me weeks to learn a few words.
>>50963843>2 hours of study most dayswhat are you even doing?
>>50964617then you have your issuelower the new amount of words until you're at above 80%
>>50964615I took night classes online after work. Was fairly cheap since it was a community college. If you don't want to pay for classes, you can always 喋る with Japanese people via Hellotalk or VRchat.
