When you compare the two, Ayana's entries seemed much more normal, than that shitpost by gambs, which pretty quickly derailed into trollish rants. Also, the first announcement was made in 2024, and it just seems less likely that gambs would keep up the illusion for almost two years, before the execution of it. Except, in most projects, after the translator finishes his job, he often just gets his paycheck and then leaves. Then the projects goes through all the phases of QC and editing. It's 100% possible, that he got fired soon after finishing work on that project, and now is having the aforementioned melty. Everything still would line up chronologically.

If you actually go through MTL output done in a proper pipeline (i.e. with modern models given full context) it will quickly become apparent that it is difficult to find more than 1 notable error per 100 lines, which equates to 99% accuracy. They are just that accurate now.

That number lowers if you get increasingly nitpicky. For example, in the Albatross MTL, if you count みぃんな -> "We" as a mistranslation and "Weee" as the correct translation, then the number could fall to like 98% or 97% inaccuracy. The only problem is that if you approach MTL with that much nitpickiness then human translations won't hold a fucking candle to them and you'll find WAY more. So it's a pick your poison kind of deal: MTL are either 99% accurate in a world of 95%~ accurate pro humans, or MTL is 97% accurate in a world where humans are sub 90% accurate.

If you want to dispute this, please do so after look at 1,000 to 5,000 lines of Astra/Opus 5.5 output and recording each serious error with attached evidence. I've done that.

First of all, do you have a single fact to back that up? The first person I saw to mention that did not post a source and even claimed something ridiculous like them scoring 35% which I don't believe.
