how the fuck did non koreans become a manufacturer of modern electronics and weapons given their total isolation and nonexistant economy that can barely supply food.

>how is Chinese sock-puppet can have a Chinese hand up it’s ass??

>nonexistant economy
Common misconception. It turns out that you can get a lot of high speed shit done if you devote 95% of GDP to defense.
>>

>isolation and nonexistant economy
Welcome to the truth.
Economics are fake and jewish.
>>
>>64180522
they can just make all those things on their own why would they want koreans to make them
>>
>>64180519
Shoigu!!
>>
>>64180519
Western Liberal do-gooders supplied food to them so they could spend the money on weapons
Same deal with Hamas, Africans, etc
>>
>>64180529
So when one gets destroyed or captured in some turdie shithole they'll look at it and say it's from best korea

Radar is WW2 era tech. Until someone does an analysis of the equipment or even just give a name, there's no telling what it actually is.
>>
>>64180519
A japanese economist described NK as the poorer developed country.

They can manufacture everything by themself, but it's mostly shitty quality.

I'm not surprised by their ability to build radar and EW devices, it's probably crap tier though. The only crap the decaying Assas regime could afford because of embargo.

>he doesn't save on food so he can make more military equipment

I'm sure Norktard could fill you in on it better than anyone else could but it's all North Korea does. They have odd bullshit for the most part but most of their equipment is entirely competent and built by them with the help of China. If it's not an entirely unique design made by them, it's just license-built Chinese equipment

Mostly correct with a partial exception regarding the the china part; the PRC actively tries to keep them from getting certain critical advanced capabilities. Much of their really advanced technology and manufacturing abilities come from the Zainichi/Yakuza stealing it from Japan, up to and including entire C&C factories that were created using fake companies then just disappeared one day. Like the opening day of a new company and the factory that was there on Friday was a empty building on Monday.

In the 1990s/2000s (and before) they focused on the ability to manufacture their own equipment so for basic needs they are self sufficient, for everything else they just take from wherever they can. An example is right around 1990 the UN had the brilliant idea to give them a microchip foundry, while it is obviously obsolete by not it can still make basic items and has undoubtedly been upgraded and expanded. While it has a very high failure rate and it is cheaper to import chips simply having the capacity is what matters to them no how efficient it is.

>their total isolation and nonexistant economy
This is where you're wrong

Both south and North Korea benefit from cheap Chinese everything.
North Korea gets shit for free from China, while South Korea is effectively a Chinese steel bypass state that gets money from the US to buy Chinese things but "manufactured" in South Korea.

North Koreans can effectively learn using South Korean educational services, and since so many of them now speak English, they also take advantage of western education Journals which effectively give away breakthroughs and secrets for free.

Their military budget is 20-30% of their GDP but it's likely much higher considering their military has a monopoly on alot of the industries in North Korea, kinda like the IRGC.
So the real percentage is probably ~50%+.
>>
>>64180778
Where do you get this from? Not doubting but I have a vested interest learning more about best Koreas capabilities.

>total isolation
A common misconception. They're the Mexico to China's America.

A lifetime of autism.

The stolen C&C factory and chip foundry was from a early 2000s State Department/DOD Country guide for instance, alot of other stuff is just keeping out a eye and actually reading their news.

As to OP i'm reminded of a handful of TG posts i read years ago (which would match up with it being from 2020. Basically Syria tested a Nork jamming system from a helicopter which caused a minor regional incident, it jammed almost all communications, radar, IFF, ect over southern Syria and reached into other nations. The Russians had no idea that the Syrians were testing it and the Syrians didn't really know what they were testing. It seems it was extremely powerful but indiscriminate, it would be easily taken out in wartime but could provide a nasty surprise used properly.

I'm no EW expert but it almost sounded like something akin to an array of deliberatly dirty spark gap transmitters that they were feeding a Von Degraff generator through or some such Norky brute force solution. Nothing that couldn't be easily located and destroyed but super annoying while it was functional.

I know someone who was there at the time, i should ask them about it.

Baller. I want to believe.
Simply because I want "snowblind" to become official jargon.

A series of spark gap transmitters deliberately designed to cause as much interference as possible and fired off in series like a old fashioned engine distributor cap will jam/disrupt almost anything EM related, especially at extremely high voltage.

It is also the most easily targeted thing in the entire theater and anyone who is using any form of electronics friend or foe wants it blow up or turned off immediately. While it was operating it would be one of the noisiest things on earth compared to almost any other 'jamming' system although it's not really modern ECM, it's a megaphone of EM distortion that the ISS notices.

Meaningful DPRK/PRC trade has been non-existent for decades besides the black market. Russia mostly buys shit for the DPRK from the PRC via grey market and 'buying' goods for transfer to the DPRK from the PRC.

As part of this the PRC and DPRK hit Russia with a double 'Grey Market' tax due to corruption, the PRC hates it because it takes from government funds while the DPRK loves it since they are an absolute totalitarian Monarchy and thus immune to corruption by definition. They are the corruption, don't try to teach your grandma how to suck eggs.

The PRC forces Russia to pay in exchange currency and the DPRK takes gold, goods or tech keeping in mind that the DPRK will not accept cash as payment since they are the worlds master counterfeiters of worthless paper.

they can barely supply food, because they live in a cold climate and have huge sanctIon preventing them from importIng food from most countries.

that doesnt effect arms productIon which is their number one export and the backbone of their economy

Your info is slightly out of date as is your spelling.

The second part of the pax americana (post bretton woods gold standard collapse) is all about neoliberalism and outsourcing and abandoning economies of scale for just in time manufacturing + company consolidations from fiat currency.

Capitalist industrial production in the west is underperforming since 1971 due to the triffin dilemma going on steroids after the bretton woods system fell with it's gold standard.

People assume that communist nations had bad production but that's just wrong they were even outproducing the germans in the soviet union before operation barbarrosa, the problem with communism is that the "equal distribution of resources" ends up being worse than feudalism and logistics end controlled by gangs so the bottom layer of society like farmers end not being able to buy basic things like clothes since now production is owned by the state as a result farmers do paralel markets, the government tries to refeudalize them and people starve.

But when it comes to industrial production communist nations actually outperformed it's just that they don't produce good products like soviet cars and planes being 2x fuel inefficient relative to western counterparts.

The big problem is that in the west due to the nature of bretton woods collapse nobody realized how fucked up industrial capacity went down relative to pop size, like for fucks sake the usa can produce 400 anti air missiles per year.

Avoiding sanctions, North Korea is already a international black sheep so there really isn't much more the rest of the world can do to them outside of outright war.

I take it putting it deep underground would hinder its effectiveness? Otherwise it'd be a funny way to flip the table: "we can't win on the field of EW, so you know what? we'll just flood the field with shit"

>>64185666
>the usa can produce 400 anti air missiles per year.
Because the USA is at peace. Why produce more than you need, or expect to need? Even allowing for stockpiling, because stockpiles have an expiry date.
But the plant foreman in a commie country with their top-down driven economy just shrugs and punches in the schedule to produce 4000 missiles (at the opportunity cost of, say, a bunch of nice family cars) because orders from the Central Committee are what they are... And afterwards they leave them to rust and decay.
