My vote goes to the CZ457 in whichever cartridge you choose (or all of them, since it has a quick change barrel system). A shane they upoed the price, it was a steal at 400 dollars but still a good deal at 700

No one saying .17

Also would 22 mag count?

Also maybe an over under double badger that comes in either 22mag and 20 gauge or 22lr and 410 I think there's one that's .234 rifle so you can hunt anything

i got the takedown version, i like it a lot

.17's are awesome for pest control but they cause a lot of meat and pelt damage

Probably a CZ bolt action. But I like my 10/22 for being semi-auto and having aftermarket so I can do stupid (and practical) things to it without having to deal with gunsmiths that are expensive, take forever, are incompetent, or are multiple of/all of the above.

Actually looked at that recently. Not sure I'd recommend 22 mag for squirrel but that is a nice rifle. Personally thinking about a CZ in 22 mag for what I guess could be considered small-medium to medium game: groundhogs and slightly bigger. Cost of ammo (CCI, even) is pretty much on par with bulk 9mm.

>.234 rifle
what in the fuck is .234?
>>
$100 pawn shop special store brand sears/montgomery ward/western auto/etc bolt actions are the most sovlful small game rifles you can buy. Generations of Americans learned to shoot with them and they’ve been putting food on tables for 100 years.

A CZ micro bolt action in your caliber of choice.

This, I bought a 1980s one with the full capacity tube out of a pawnshop for 150 bucks with an unfinished stock that I stained and coated, still one of my best purchases

Minor typing error, .243 caliber is what I meant.

All of these. Tons of vintage, department store-brand and name brand bolt action and semiauto tube feed .22LRs and also .22 Mags (such as CZ or Marlin)
or one of the newer CZ, Savage
