Thoughts about ACOG + magnifier combo /k/? Is It better than a LVPO?
>>
>>64185626
That's not a magnifier.

>ACOG + magnifier
That's some troll science shit
>>
>>64185626
Does that acog hold zero when it's partially on the handguard like in the pic?
>>
>>64185648
No, especially not on a non-freefloat handguard like that one
>>
>>64185648
DESU, it probably would just by how fuck sturdy the mount is, it would act as a bridge. The real problem is it being so far away from your eye you can't actually see through it.

What about a sniper opting to drop his rifle and use an open bolt machine gun for a precise shot because it’s somehow more accurate?
>>
>>64186609
He did change his sniper rifle for a bren in real life. But he was firing bursts at a distant group of people, not trying to hit one guy with a single shot, which makes a lot more sense.

that's a night vision tube you silly billies
having said that, it's flipped up during the day, so it still makes no sense
>>64185670
as long as the objective lens of the nv tube is within the acog eyebox I don't see why it wouldn't work
>>
>>64185669
But how much play or bend is there at the junction between Handguard and upper? Is losing zero a real concern?
>>
probly clip-on NV or thermals. its funny how useless NV scopes are in cod
>>
>>64185626
Even as a NV combo it's still wrong. You're supposed to put the NV in front of the magnified optic not behind
>>

Hollywood is stupid. Instead, actually train with your weapon and find out what works best. Actually train with your weapon and get good at it. Training will yield more results that covering your rifle with expensive bullshit. Training is the real answer. You can't buy performance with better equipment until you put in the hard work of intensive training to discover what gear works best for your fighting style. You won't find your fighting style until you train enough to discover who you are as a fighter. Even then, you won't fully know your fighting abilities and inabilities until you kill several men trying their damnedest to kill you. Providing of course you survive. Damn. I think I'm just about done with this website of whining children.

Wasn't always the way. Mounting a PVS14 behind your optic is the whole reason cantilevered mounts like the one in the pic exist, similarly its why the M14 EBR has the little rail above the grip, and why the original Tavors had that lug behind the rear sight. Its an anachronism, but its not necessarily wrong.
