That shot that went super high wasn't a zero issue, it was a trigger control/vision control fuckup on my part. Same story with the shot that went super low. Obviously, I had two very bad fliers in that stage, but the rest of the group had pretty solid central tendency. That should probably tell you that it wasn't a zero issue, because I'm nowhere near good enough to hold several inches of Kentucky elevation at 25 yards offhand with a pistol and hit even somewhat consistently. Moreover, even if I had zeroed at 15 yards, I wouldn't be hitting high at 25, and certainly not to such a degree that would cause me to hit 2-3 inches high. Here's the ballistics data. You can see that with a 15 yard zero, I'd actually be hitting -0.06 inches low at 25. It's only with VERY close in zeroes (like the 7 yards on the right) where you begin to hit very high at intermediate distances of ~20ish yards, and even then, the delta is typically sub 1 inch.
