I’m coming from a CS/infosec background with some fundamentals in DSP and comms theory. Looking to learn Electronic Warfare.Any recommended textbooks, certs, or other resources worth starting with?
>>64190928This gives you some basics about antennas and radios, I keep going back to it. It's very well made.https://www.radartutorial.eu/index.en.htmlRadio technology is a wide field, and unless you want to go into the nitty gritty of RF technology (where formal university level education would be recommended), I recommend working your way from the application to the technology.I found WWII operator trainings give you a good starting point. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQKMwTATmGcWhy do I recommend those? Because most of the basics have been developed back then, and nowadays it's mostly the same thing - just faster and with more Signal to Noise ratio.

Some titles (not all are good)>Electronic Warfare and Radar Systems Engineering Handbook>Modern Communications Jamming Principles and Techniques>Radar Energy Warfare and the Challenges of Stealth Technology>INTRODUCTION TO AIRBORNE RADARMost of the stuff you find online is hilariously obsolete WW2 and korean war era stuff, but is a good intro. Textbooks are a lot better but obviously don't have full details. Once you think you know enough then just look up Defence brochures selling jammers and look at their specs, and compare that to the shit you see online.

>>64191344>CS backgroundyou turn the thing on and follow the instruction manual. sometimes you will receive modified instructions or a new thing that does the thing. >I want more!get a real degree (EE). you lack any understanding of the basics.
