Bolt gun thread
I feel like the tf2 snoipah when i use it

Is there a modern bolt action rifle that was built with iron sight shooting in mind like all the old military rifles? A few manufacturers have things close like Savage or Ruger but they really only have one or two in normal calibers and the rear sites are too far forward for my liking.

I bought the biggest sight I could for under $30 from my pawn shop for my .22 bolt rifle. No ragrets

Well, I think that Zastava LK M70 would be your best bet until you pick up the custom guns of any kind.
I've tried handling Sako 90 and Los 145 by Kalashnikov, they have the stocks that make aiming through irons just as comfortable as using scope.

Savage bolt guns are ridiculously good for the price. Anyone into precision shooting should have one. Pic rel is mine in 22WMR. Getting a bipod for it next paycheck

If you're looking for a great rimfire/air rifle scope, I recommend Hawke. Had nothing but good luck and put them on all my rifles.

Tikka T3x Arctic is probably the closest. Basically a CTR with a rear sight kinda like an HK drum with different elevation settings.

not buying woke companies sorry

I'd rather pay the extra $ for better quality in a CZ or a Tikka.
I've had a Savage jam on me more than once in the field and the worst jam I've seen was my uncle's Savage where he couldn't even open the bolt anymore. There's a reason there's so many in the used section of your local gun store, people get rid of them when they get tired of tinkering with it to get it to work better.

NTA but man does it ever seem like all the 22WMRs are fucked in some way. Either no threaded barrel, no threaded barrel unless bull barrel, only threaded barrel on one model (~16-18"), the gun has a cheap stock (Howa), the gun sometimes comes with non-concentric threads (Howa what the fuck seriously), the gun jams (Howa?, Savage), you name it. I've been researching and the little I can find on the guns I search for the more I lean towards CZ. Even then the autistic precision rimfire shooters have their complaints about the CZ despite how well they shoot out of the box.

In my opinion, the Mosin Nagant has the most satisfying action to manipulate.

It's literally impossible to get a poor quality rifle these days, unless you're buying from the united gunsmiths of Pakistan.
But if you're into more refined guns, look for Mannlicher, Blaser, Mauser, Sauer, Sako, Heym and the like. A fella from the posh gun shop I've met said that the best rifle barrels come from Luke & Ortmeyer holding, Steyr and Heym.
I dream of buying myself a Parkwest Arms SD76 or a Mauser by Fanzoj or Rigby, but I guess I'll never be able to afford one.

Almost saved it into my fap content folder.

A rather unexpected idea for a first rifle would be Taiga by Antonio Zoli. Based on Husqvarna 1900 action (currently manufactured only by Zoli for the masses and by VO Vapen for the rich cunts), quite smooth, affordable, expensive-looking, with the manual cocking safety. But it's just a hunting rifle, not a long range blaster.

Mine works pretty good, same with the 22lr fflm them
But I'm not surprised to hear QC issues at that price point
Still think they're worth the money though

And to be fair on the 22lr that has a much higher round count, I use those after market magazines from Csspecs. I know the mags are poorly made from Savage
And I've been lucky either the magnum magazine

308. I like it quite a bit. I was stuck between this and the Mauser 18 Savannah but I'm happy with the purchase

I like my CZ 600
