If you remember to decock (which you should) when reholstering, you are 100% good. The manual safety is overkill in most instances and a lot of Beretta shooters do a G conversion to make the decocking lever only for decocking.Like most people starting out, you'll have trouble learning how to accurately shoot the first double action shot, google Ernest Langdon's DA/SA videos.
