What cartridge do you find most aesthetically pleasing? For me it's a tie between .303 British and 7.65 Argentine
>>642066306mm arc
Here's 7.65
>>6420663050 bmg with amax bullet looks very nice
.45-47 Trump
>>64206630i'm onboard with .303. my 1st 200rd purchase came in a cloth belt. it has stuck in my memory since
.30 TC. It's a shorter, fatter and less tapered 308 Win. The proportions are quite nice.
>>64206711Thicker than a bowl of oatmeal
>>64206711Impressive girth...
the old Wanda shotshells were really fucking cool
>>64206711>>64206728Ron White's cheese wheel
>>64206737
Not sure why, but 8x56R seems very "art deco" to me
fuck forgot pic
>>64206728phimosis victim
>>64206746wow that is cool but i bet they were downloaded to keep very low pressures
>>64206801Anything with the Mannlicker name is guaranteed to be pvre sovl
>>64206828it's an anti-docking countermeasure
>>64206834They weren't any weaker than any other shotshell. shotshells are already very low pressure compared to normal ammo.Picrel is another cartridge I always thought looked cool, the old Westley Richards Explora (12ga) and Fauneta (20ga). They were for ball-and-shot guns, shotguns with rifled chokes. The projectile is actually a lightweight hollowpoint slug that fits entirely down inside the case. The cone sticking out the front is a hollow sheetmetal aerodynamic cap.
>>64206881
>>64206889woahshaped charge slug
>>64206874i dont even know what it means but i wont check eithersounds like a femboy practice
>>64207117Docking is a man's job
>>64206630It just feels right in the hand, a perfect aroma after ejecting. Exquisite.
>>642066306.5mm Arisaka. It’s also a genuinely great round
>>64206801>that neck
.38-55
I like the J.D. Jones autism wildcat cartridges.
>>64206697I agree. Should be loaded to 2.8” though. Why the weird COAL?My submissions:>8.6 blackout>6.5 grendel>6.8 SPC>5.56 FABRL>4.85x49mm>6mm SAW>10mmReally no rhyme or reason to it, just some cartridges are unique and pleasant to look at. Picrel features a few of the cartridges in the above list
.30-06 looks good to me, it's like my platonic ideal of rifle bullet. Special mention to 5.56 in translucent mags it's kino.
>>64206728>100gr .243>sub 2 caliber ogiveI want to strangle cartridge designers. This shit is criminal.
For me, it's .45 Auto.
>>64206672So smooth. So sleek. It’s really an excellent bullet. 5 calibers long but with a very impressive i7 form factor of ~0.8.
It's looks both long and fat.
>>64207713This is basically the 21st century version if they loaded it with ultralight bullets.
>>64207300>not posting actual GP-11 with 70s production beeswax on the case mouthBut yeah
>>64207665(me)One more submission. 22 APG or 22 gustaffson or whatever it’s called (there were a few versions). Early experimental SCHV cartridges. OAL is around 1.7”. Can easily feed through the grip. Had something like this become the meta instead of 5.56, we’d have 80kpsi versions right now chambered in MP7s
>>64207740The CETME is only 108gr, pretty light considering how long it its. What did you post?
>>64207841I posted 8.6 blackoutWith an i7 form factor of 0.85, a 102gr bullet would have the same BC as m855. Probabaly the same velocity too, duplicating its trajectory, but with much better efficiency and out of a short barrel.
>>64206630best round ever made (.50 bmg, 32 acp and .22lr excluded)
The .20 VT case has very aesthetic proportions, I just wish someone made a .204 VLD for it.
>>64206801I enjoy it as well
Difficult to beat 6.5
Difficult to beat 6.5>>64208104Why best?
>>64206801Came here to post this. My buddy used to have an M95 carbine back in highschool. Sounded like a damn cannon when you shot it.
>>64206799>>642068018x56R Mannlicher. The choice of a true gentleman.Plus the Steyr loading frames are the only ones which dont deform when used multiple times.
big fan of the belted magnums, I have a 300wm, 375 H&H and a .458 wm
>>64207689short and fat just like my c...
>>64206630Ballistically, the .257 Roberts. It's just so perfect.
For me, it's the .264 Win MagSomething about a small belted magnum just makes me kek internally
>>642066309mm
>>64207175There's nothing quite like the "choonk" sound of ejectors kicking out fired paper shotshells followed by the smell of the powder a couple seconds later.
>>64206834You wouldn't download...a shot shell.
>>64206630Did they all use cordite or was it a mix between that and actual gunpowder?
>>64211162AFAIK the very earliest was black powder, then they switched to Cordite, and they kept using Cordite until the 1950's when they switched to 7.62 Nato, which used powder.
>>64207300>>64207785please make way, most aesthetic cartridge coming trough!
>>64211638The silver bullets are sexy.
>>6420663010mm Auto, 6.5 Grendel, .50BMG, 7.92x57mm, 5.7x28mm.
>>64212364Cupro-nickel
>>64206737Kinda reminds me of these old shotgun shells my grandpa gave me before he died, box still has the Kmart sticker for $2.97
>>64208685Mmmh, 6.5xSex
>>64206630.30 super carry and .357 magnum. They have a nice length to girth ratio. .45 gap also looks nice, little fat midget bullet, shame its deader than .30 pooper carry even
>>64206737Also available in a Herter's (Cabelas) version. Not sure if that was Wanda made or just coincidence. Pic is 12ga. Wish they still made it because other than being no doubt weaker it is cool as fuck. I'd buy a couple boxes for sure.
5.7It's just so pretty
>>64207875NTA but I found an 8.6 case the last time I went to the range for my case comparison collection, then somehow lost it within like 15 minutes and I'm mad at myself. The other thought I was having was "who the fuck was shooting 8.6 on the 50yd range that has berms on both sides and for what fucking reason?">>64211638>>64212364>>64212645I actually really like the look of shiny silver bullets too. Certain calibers and guns look really good with them.>>64213236Those are neat too. Don't think I've ever seen a box for them. Found one really wrecked spent example when hunting once.
>>64206630I don't know about most but .30-40 Krag looks good with round nose bullets.
>>64212645yo dog we heard you like toxic metals
>>64206881>>64206889Looks like a Crayola Crayon
>>64218464Not many metals are safe to eat. Copper and nickel are both relatively safe as these things go. Certainly not nearly as bad for you as chrome or lead.
>>64218309It does actually
Not exotic but 7.92 is still sexy anyway
>>64218828>Copper and nickel are both relatively safe as these things go. Certainly not nearly as bad for you as chrome or leadBoth Copper and Nickel exposure have been linked to Alzheimer's Disease Anon.
