Anyone starting to get their stuff together for the 250th 4th of July? What are you getting? How long of a show are you trying to make? Consumer stuff or display fireworks? Any plans on using an electronic ignition system?
>>64212778I bought a 4/1 compound cake and another 5 cakes from riakeo's pro line and another pro line cake from raccoon today. I plan on getting another 3 compound cakes and 5 other cakes from riakeo and also another 5 compound cakes from raccoon. Hopefully between them all and a 50 tube mortar rack I'll have a 10 or 15min long show for the 4th next year.
Make your own fireworks it's insanely fun and rewarding even making the little stuff. It's pretty cheap and there's a bunch of websites you can order from. Been ordering online to make firecrackers and fountains and smoke bombs etc. since I was in middle school
>>64213947In America barring possession of a fel you are not allowed to transport homemade fireworks and are generally limited in sizes of things you can legally make. Even with a fel transportation is still an issue to such a degree that for the pgi show they have an area for people to make their fireworks there for the competition. I really want to get a fel to buy display fireworks but in the state I live they want me to have 2 million dollars worth of insurance and approval from the local fire Marshal if I want to set them off on my own property.

>>64213958Dude look it up, if you live in a free state with decent gun laws you can make your own fireworks as long as they aren't absolutely massive
>>64213964You still aren't allowed to transport them and the size limits are pretty much the same as consumer fireworks without a fel.
>>64213977I don't care, I blow them up in my yard I'm not driving them anywhere
>>64214001I live in a city.
>>64215526So?
>>64215554Well in the state I live in anything that goes in the air is illegal, furthermore any creation of explosives of any sort, fireworks included, is a felony here.
>>64215625Alright so if you want to get into fireworks, you should probably move
>>64217781I should probably do that but my parents and my inlaws live close by, which is nice because as they age they need an increasing amount of assistance. Also they can watch our children. But yes, I would like to move.
