Buy police surplus

OP needs to learn about the previously owned firearms market.
(not just for Beretta 92s, either)

I’m always afraid to buy used because what if an internal part is broken, or it’s a defective gun?

A basic 92FS should be around 600-650 dollars. Bereli usually is around there for the “police special” which just comes with an extra magazine. A 92FS being 800-900 is fucking robbery.

You can get a LTT Elite (upgraded version of M9A1/M9A3) from PSA for 800, it doesn’t come with a LTT trigger job but it has the fiber optic sights, thinner grip panel, and stainless target crown barrel.

>>64212872
One time I went to the range and just so happened 2 guys had a 92fs they both broke and couldn't be fired lmao
Only time I have seen one irl and I never want to again after that

It's not hard dude.

I already don't believe you.

Look for a reputable local gun store, or pawn shop (yes some are reputable) that deals in used firearms.
Broken parts, that can be an issue with decades-old or antique guns but with modern handguns if there's something busted you'll know it and if it doesn't shoot you can bring it back to show them.
If seeking used firearms online auction such as Gunbroker be certain to deal with sellers that have perfect 100% user ratings (browse each seller's recent transactions to read feedback prior to bidding or buying); most good sellers will stand behind what they sell or if it was not represented correctly. Also be sure when buying/bidding online to only deal with auctions that have ample photographs and thorough description of the gun and its condition. Ask simple, brief questions about
>rust or pitting
>condition of bore
>cracks/warping in wood stock
etc. if it's not already clearly shown or described in the online listing or pictures.

Alright, I appreciate the insight

>What if thing is broken?
Then you fix it, you gigantic pussy. I bet you wait in line for an hour so you can pay someone to spend 5 minutes changing the oil on your car.
>>
>>64212872
They are $600, and that's a shitty deal. Get better at the internet.
>>
>>64213201
>equating routine maintenance of a car to buying a broken gun
lol. A better analogy would have been buying a broken car, but you’re too retarded to realize that.
>>
>>64213529
NTA anon but the implication is that you're too lazy to fix or service something yourself you fucking mongoloid.
>>

Even in overpriced shit holes like California, they are about $650

If you are a minimum wage slave, try and put away 100 bucks each pay period.

You take it to the gunsmith and fix it for <100 bucks.
Guns are stupidly simple, senpai. Make sure you inspect it before buying but if it's in good shape, it's a steal.
t. guy who bought a used 92fs
>>
>>64213560
The only difference is the sight, which is actually better on the 92fs
>>
>>64212980
While it's possible, 99% of people will never shoot their gun to the point where it is broken 98% will never go above 500 rounds with their gun. You're fine
>>
>>64212980
meet the dude at the range and shoot it?
are you fucking 12?
>>
>>64214017
>just meet a stranger who has a loaded gun in a secluded area
You have the survival instincts of a dodo bird.
>>
>>64214033

>secluded area
LMAO don't buy guns, you'll just end up hurting yourself
>>
>>64214083
Just outed yourself as a city fag. Ranges in these parts are in secluded areas.
>>
>>64214095
Don’t worry anon I won’t hurt you :^)
>>
>>64214095
get an officer to drive with you?
drive with somebody else?
like, do anything a reasonable person would do?
i ask again - are you fucking 12?
>>
>>64212872
You want a commercial M9 anon, which MSRP for like 650 but can easily be had for 550. I think I paid like 500 for mine. The M9 will guarantee you a straight frame as well, whereas a 92FS is a tossup whether you get a straight frame or the gay newer curved frame which is not correct for the 80s action movie look. Look it up
>>
>>64213733
>Even in overpriced shit holes like California, they are about $650

650 (92FS price)
+ 49 (DROS)
+ 25 (FSC)
+ 65 (sales tax, here 10%)
+ 72 (CA gun & ammo tax, set at 11%)
-------------
Now kiss (do a sum)

Get a pt92

Here's one for just over $400.

Spend a couple months NOT DoorDashing or Grubhubbing slop at your doorstep AND instead of running your air conditioner just open your windows and let the breeze cool your house instead since we're basically in Fall now. Also get a chest freezer since those are more energy efficient and start stuffing half a cows worth of steaks in there from a bulk supplier rather than a typical chain grocery store.
You'll have the means to get one in no time even if your a lazy welfare queen.

Also if you've got a GaystationPlus or Xpox live subscriptions just cancel that shit and play more offline single player titles instead as well as emulate older titles that are capable of running just fine even on old shitty laptops with Celeron CPU's. You'd be surprised just how many fun games are out there that will run at a consistent 60/120 frames per-second just fine on potato hardware.
>>
>>64214033
You are brown and it's good your country won't let you own guns
>>
>>64213985
m9a1 has a rail on the frame as well if you ever want to mount a light
>>
>>64214033
Meet at a gas station with loads of security cameras with a police station across the street. No one's implying you have to do this out in the middle of Appalachia anon. So long as you aren't breaking any state laws you'll be fine.
>>
Someone on GB was selling stripped frames a while ago but I forget the name and I can't find anymore :(
>>
>>64215394

just buy it new, you'll get a 3 year warranty in case there's a defect or something

buying used you simply dont know, even if it shoots fine at the range once you dont know all the problems it may have had or may have

just bite the bullet and spend a few extra hundred knowing that for the next 3 years it's covered under warranty in case something unusual pops up

if you already have a bunch of guns and just want a 92fs series just to have, then by all means buy it used and save some money
>>
>>64214381
yep good advice
