I'm assuming you live in a country where your only options for citizen firearm ownership are shotguns, bolt action rifles and some pistols. Say you're posting up in some bushes overlooking a choke point in the highway leading into your town, dropping a few shots into an enemy convoy then fucking off into a crowd of civvies, sniping a traitor through his living room window or providing overwatch from an apartment building overlooking a group of friendly protestor ... all jobs much better suited to a rifle than a shotgun.

My pistol ownership expires in December so I'm planing to buy 2 firearms extra as well as renewing my pistol. I already have a 22 semi (A tippmann M4-22), but I wouldn't trust it much for defense, even with hyper-speed ammo. It's good for training tho, and I've been shooting IPSC Mini Rifle and steel challenge for some while with it.

Average shooters can touch targets 600-800 yards with that round and great shooters can reach 1,000 yards.
