They found it was because the GIAT barrels were flexing sideways, and they installed a barrel shroud to reduce it. However, Jaguar already has a shrouded barrel, so the cause in France's vehicles was unknown and they're struggling to resolve it.
J'aime la France, if only because they're the only western Euros to keep their military and supporting industry in a passable shape, even if they're severely retarded. Far as the Jaguar goes, looks a lot cooler than the ERC-90, but gayer than the AMX-10, so ehhh.
