>Burns away after lubricating and firing your weapon How are they able to stay in business ?
>>64214264They say it's rated for X amount of shots and call it a day
>>64214264>he actually oils his gunswait, you took that seriously? what, do you oil forks and plates too?
>How are they able to stay in business ?Lots of dudes have a weird idea that guns are made of low grade unfinished mild steel and are going to rust away into powder if they aren't slathered in oil 24/7, which is just retardation aided with a healthy supply of gun oil marketing.Guns really don't and shouldn't need lubrication, because lubrication doesn't really work in a dirty unsealed environment like a gun. We use oil in our cars because we have an oil sump and filters and strainers and oil coolers, and because a car experiences more friction and heat in a 5 minute drive than any gun will experience in 20 lifetimes.
>>64214264That's cock lube
>>64214378I think it depends on the humidity of your environment. Medium and high humidity with warmer than average temperatures lend to corrosion.I just WD40 after a powder solvent bath to rid the moisture. That and a dry cloth wipe down. Another detail may be the powders you're shooting too. Some just crust up almost immediately while others burn cleaner leaving less residue to clean up.
>>64214264lithiumgreasechads this is our time!
You gotta try vet/surgical lubricant. Lasts much longer.
>>64214264This isnt the silcon based lubricant i use to masturbate with
>>64214279>oiling your gunSeriously? Do you guys actually oil your guns?
>>64214264The gun appreciates the fondling and the attention, it pleases the machine spirit. You wouldn’t get it now shut up
Best gun lube
>>64214264A bit messy but works best especially for large calibers
>>64214378guns will 100% rust if they aren't oiled. even "stainless" is just stain less not stain proof. if you don't believe me wash a steel gun part you don't care about with soap and water and leave it on the counter without oiling it.
>>64214547This warrants further investigation.
>>64216754My gun came with trace amounts of oil in the steel from the manufacturing process, which prevents rust. The reason I don't need to reoil is because I don't wash my guns with soap.
>>64216872>my car came with oil in it so I don't need to change it unless there's a leak and it drips out
I love this stuff but it stains my sheets instantly. Had to get dedicated sheets for it.
>>64216872My guns rust if I don’t oil them, blued, parkerized, even stainless starts to get dull and eventually get rust spots if you don’t oil it. It’s part of owning guns guy.
>>64216911We already covered the issue of engine oil in >>64214378>>64216956You must be doing something wrong, maybe you are cursed by God. I live in a subtropical climate and never have rust issues, also I don't buy junk like Ruger or Taurus.
>>64214378Holy shit you put all the wrong in one place. A gun is metal on metal high heat and friction. Add to that abrasives from shooting. Of course you oil the friction parts and of your firearm. Fucking nogunz dipshit zoomer assmonger
>>64216970Guns aren't made of pot metal, no one shoots their gun enough to where friction and heat are ruining the slide and frame. The first thing to go on any high-use gun is the bore, and that can't be oiled.>abrasivesOh, so you dump crushed gravel and metal shavings in your gun, I see why you need to oil it.
>>64216872>>64214721>>64214378Because airsoft guns are mostly made from plastic...
>>64216986Not sure if baiting this hard or you are so technically retarded.
>>64217018>no argumentI accept your concession, thank you for the debate newfaggot, but you need to do better than that on 4chan.
I live in florida but even here its almost a non issue. When I got my AR-15 it got a thin layer of rust on the barrel from just being in the safe, so I got a dehumidifier and just wipe it down with a thin layer of mineral oil after I get home from shooting. My neighbor is the kind of person who spends like 5 hours cleaning one gun and uses a whole bottle of oil before putting the gun in an airtight safe. He's a ginger so I don't talk to him very much.
>>64216991Even for airsoft guns tho...
>>64214264This was made for the Swiss Navy its 10X better than that so called Gun Oil
>>64214264>>Burns away after lubricating and firing your weaponimagine being a DI faggota short stroke adjustable piston is the first upgrade to every ar followed by a suprussy retardfuck di
>>64214264I use the based krauts oil and barely have to use anyhttps://nano-arms.com/
I don't think this is for toast.
>>64216230the only people i know who buy this fuck horses
>>64216754You only need a microscopic layer for lubricity and corrosion resitance. Like, a drop of oil on a rag and then rubbed into the steel so the steel shines. Not a thick layer. A microscopic one. Most faggots use too much oil on their gun.
>>64214386>>64214378I live in a high humidity environment and I have absolutely had shit rust even when oiled and lubed.
Ive only ever used CLP for 15 years. No rust. Cleans well. Lubes well. Its cheap, I can buy a gallon for $50. Smells like memories. Its all you need.
>>64214378How dare you copy my previous post and make it look worse. Fffffffuck youuuu
>>64217565Keep it secret son :D Im driving around all week to collect stupid coolants from CNC machines, time to test how to kill the bacteria inside those fart smelling liquids.
>>64216986>>ruining the slide and frameRuining? Wearing. I struggle to believe you are this dumb. Of course guns wear out. Of course high heat friction speeds that up. Of course lubrication slows the process. >>its gritty add lube dumbIts got added abrasives lubrication helps prevent malfunctions and wear. And yes, you are fucking stupid.
>>64221526Show me an example of a personal firearm "wearing out" after a realistic amount of ammunition.
>>64221549Well you see nogunz this falls under common knowledge for people who have owned firearms and shot them for more than a couple years. Of course the safe queen and holster whores do not experience it much, but the rest of us do. So much so...showing you pictures of worn out 1911s, glocks ect is not going to help you. You have a different problem. You have a strong opinion and no experience to back it up. How do I know this? Because you have never significantly worn down a rail or bolt. You are nogunz. Noshootz, or safefag. Or newb
>>64221579You are the one who claims not lubricating a gun will cause it to "wear out". It is up to you to support those claims.I don't care about "common knowledge". Let's see the evidence. I would love to see, for example, a 1911 with its frame worn down to nothing because it's been fired so much.
>>64221601No, literally everyone claims not lubricating a firearm causes faster wear than not lubricated. YOU are making the extraordinary claim that runs counter to common knowledge, popular opinion, expert opinion and very basic science. It is on YOU to provide evidence to the contrary. You zoomer retards should file a lawsuit against the government. The educational system failed you catastrophically. Nobody owes you shit faggot. Pick yourself the fuck up just like your great grandad did or brace yourself for one hard fucking ride on the retard express of life.
>>64221808>literally everyone claims not lubricating a firearm causes faster wear than not lubricatedOr is that the gun oil industry speaking? My great grandfather never saw a can of single use Rem Oil wipes or a bottle of Hoppes in his life. Yet, miraculously, all of his guns are still 99% immaculate, a century later. What was his secret, anon?
>>64221828He shot once a year to zero and once a year to kill a deer. The rest of his firearms sat in a case or safe and had less than a box put through them. Any more questions dipshit?Your "gramps" probably cleaned his firearms with clp. Care to guess what the L stands for?
You can do better with mineral spirits than that shit.
