If I had a nice kiln for molten sodium, I'd make my own triggers. They're legit maybe $10 in tool steel and easy to cut, it's the carburizing that's tricky. If you people understood how ridiculously cheap 7075 was, you'd never but Gucci gear again. The most expensive, difficult part is the barrels but everyone uses FN blanks anyway.

The cutting part isn't that difficult, any given machine shop could do it accurately.
Producing high quality aluminum forgings is a lot more difficult. There are only a handful of companies that can pull it off, and historically it was mostly used for manufacturing aircraft parts. Hell, no one in the US could do it until after WWII, when they forcibly seized a bunch of subject matter experts and giant machines from Nazi Germany's aircraft manufacturing industry.

That's why most AR "manufacturers" don't forge their own components, they just buy half-finished forgings and injection molded polymer parts from other manufacturers with a wider knowledge base and bigger machines.
