what is the highest round count handgun? when i google it i see a lot of claims that seem like bullshit to me like an sti with 530,000 rounds or glocks with well over 100,000. Theres a guy on youtube who says he shot 89,000 out of a glock 19 until the frame started to sag in the middle and he stopped shooting it

>>
>>64243222

>>
>>64245449

>>
>>64245460
Less gun shit to move. On paper I enjoy .22lr, but I've not encountered one I was excited to shoot. They also get boring af.
>>
>>64245492
Initially I just want to learn about owning a gun, any other things I eventually decide I need or want I figure I can branch off from there. Plus I read glocks are very well supported by third party upgrades etc so I figure its a good starting point
>>
>>64245449
It's a gun alright. But you could always get something way cooler.
>>
>>64245505
You can't go wrong with a Glock 19. Personally, I recommend a 92 variant for a first gun. It shoots pretty easy due to being heavy, it has a huge aftermarket and it has a manual safety.
>>
>>64245505
If a gun has a bunch of major third party upgrades its a sign that either the gun is retarded or the users are. In glocks case it's both, and all the upgrades defeats the point of the glock, which is familiarity with mediocre ubiquity. They are designed to cost <$300 and be purchased in bulk.
>>
>>64245560
>its a sign that either the gun is retarded or the users are.

so the AR is retarded? reply 'Yes.' will be seen as an act of aggression and will be reported to authorities
>>
>>64245593
Please don't feed the trolls
>>
>>64245593
No that's on the users
>>
>>64245505
the H&K p30sk and p2000sk are subcompacts that carry like a glock 26 and shoot like a glock 19, and readily accept extended magazines for carrying with heavier clothes and flat mag baseplates for carrying with lighter clothes

also i'd get a glock 26 before a glock 19 and just buy the extendo clip cuz. barrel length is for handgun hunters and ballistics nerds that fantasize about the miami dade shootout. my first gun was a glock 26 with 2x10rds and a 15rd and i usually carried the 15rd comfortably and flat bottom 10rds in hot weather. the recoil and muzzle blast are not noticeably worse and it's still funner and easier to shoot than a subcompact.
>>
>>64245593
>So the AR is retarded?
In a way. It's a somewhat dated rifle and the platform fragmented severely as multiple companies tried to modernize it.

But mostly it's just the users are retarded and companies are cashing in
>punisher skull magwells
>"you're fucked" dust covers
>5000 different tactical charging handles
>you know what the market needs? another fucking handguard

>>64245604
>than a subcompact
*sub-sub compact (micro 9)
>>
>>64245449
Its one of over 9000 good starters except it costs more and has less features than most. There is no compelling reason to buy a Glock.

>No, they're great!
Gen 5 triggers are not that bad.

But the older pistols really give you a feel for why there are so many mods, and the stock sights, mag release, and slide catch remain dogshit. And they continue to have stupid chambers to keep the aftermarket barrel market alive.
>some 147gr 9mm is a tight fit

That's a fair few mags but man for that price I'd 100% take a used para ordnance instead. That's a copy (or just a rollmark slapped on)of a bul m-5.
It's not unique/cool enough imo to justify the price and has proprietary parts no longer in production

Don't let them shame you for being a proud neet. Are you still able to purchase ammo with GBP? My mother raised the price of a box of 9mm to 15 GBP because of "tariffs" so now I have to choose between having both tendies and pizza on a Friday or extending my range trips.

Only got 150 rounds through it, flawless running, the nighthawk trigger unit then developed hammer follow.

I will be sending the entire gun to nighthawk for DLC coating, optic cut, and maybe have them fit a safety and grip safety just because might as well have everything color match.

I’m using a Fusion Firearms Barrel right now, I might switch to a Barsto or KKM or kart. I might also get a .40 Super barrel, the double tap 135 gr load for it is insane.

What's a decent 10 round-or-less gun for a cucked Washingtonian?
>>
>>64247662
Literally anything since Washington is a gray zone, there’s a few shops that don’t care at all, the law is very hard to enforce and so it’s mostly self enforced.

A 10 round .40 S&W Beretta 96 magazine may hold more rounds of 9mm than what is legal. The feedlips are slightly different, I had one .40 S&W magazine feed 9mm better than it did .40 (it jammed with .40 but ran perfectly with 9mm). This doesn’t not hold true for all guns, PX4 mags have completely different feed lips for each

>>64247960

>>
>>64247927
>I keep wondering if maybe I’ve got a weak spring somewhere
theres no spring on the gun that makes the mag catch go up.
what pushes the lock up is your magazines follower and magazine spring.
what holds the slide back is the recoilsprings tension. which is easy to jolt and send the slide home since its just friction.
your gun is working as intended.
>>
>>64247965
Any reason why not? Cheapest in its class for what it is.
>>
>>64247954
you do get that the slidestop spring is to keep the spring down. right? so it doesnt accidentally lock at the wrong time.

Opinions on the S&W Shield Plus versus the p365 for an edc? So far the Shield Plus feels a little more comfortable in my hands, but the p365's potential add-ons are a really tempting factor. Other subcompacts are welcome too, but these two seemed like the top options from my research so far.
>>
>>64250007
I used to own a P365, it's surprisngly easy to fire and manage despite the size
>>
>>64250007
>Shield Plus feels a little more comfortable
Swipe the shield grip against the skin of your waist a few thousand times and see if you get an unbearable rash that makes you wince in pain every time any individual spike of that grip touches the red swollen flesh. If that doesn't happen, get shield.

I have had one aluminum framed 1911. The Dan Wesson CCO in .45 ACP, I fucking hated it and it never functioned 100%. Get one in 9mm, if you’re looking at 9mm ones, then the Alpha Foxtrot S-15 1911 should be something you look at, it uses Glock 43X mags so it can use the Shield 15 rounders for almost the same thickness as a single stack. I have seen one anon with one and he liked it

9mm aluminum frames will probably last a long time, 1911s seem to have the strength of steel important to the longevity of the frame so .45 ACP aluminum frames eventually will fail.

I’m insane, but I’m perfectly fine carrying a full size steel 1911 all day appendix.

A Magwell on an officer frame is kind of ridiculous since you’re inching closer the the length of a full-size. Big baseplate magazines as well.

Top left is an CCO (4.25 inch officer) and commander (professional 4.0 inch barrel instead of 4.25 actually) side by side

If I’m going to get an aluminum 1911, it’s going to be in 9mm, if it’s going to be in 9mm I’m going to look at double stack options. I am currently carrying a 10mm

Not a Jericho, but close enough, my Cz75 did this.

thank you for the info. i normally carry a glock 17, staccato p and recently the staccato p4. wanted something more concealable or perhaps just wanting a new gun? ive also been looking at the colt defender elite (steel frame) but im off to do some research on the alpha foxtrot s15.

Worn CZ 75s do that yeah
Mine was smooth as glass and still sold it

There is a few of the single stack 2011 staccato CSs about. They’re discontinued but Cosaint Arms (former Staccato employee) makes single stack 2011s still.

A 2011 can get very close to the thickness of the 1911 with the right grip module

Also apparently the shortest 2011 right now uses 113mm magazines (Springfield Prodigy compact, Infinity compact carry) but there were shorter 103mm STI 2011s that were discontinued. I haven’t even seen a picture of the super short 103mm but people on 1911 addicts talk about them

Mine was brand new actually

I have a very retarded question, a friend (very good shooter) did the adjustment on my red dot. I tend to shoot tight groups but a little too low to the left (in the 5 and 6). Should I adjust the red do to my bad aim or compensate before I shoot? I've been moving my aim to the top right (in the 5 and 6 again) to get consistently in the center.

I like my Glocks but I also like my non Glocks that take Glock magazines. Anyone else own a dagger? I just got my receiver today and don't have time to shoot it for a week

That's just gonna reinforce bad habits imo.

I have a CZ75b. Its been pretty much perfect for me since ive had it but im looking at bulletproofing/improving it a bit. A move to a new state has made shooting and competitions much more feasible. To my knowledge my best options is to get a CGW pro package and just leave it. Is there anything else worthwhile to add onto a gun thats going to fired a lot and carried daily?

I wouldn't get a trigger job on a gun I'm gonna carry daily. Also, the CZ-75b is pretty big to conceal. I would keep it as a range toy/home defense gun and get something else for CC

Ive noticed curious thing in my new px4.
When i rack the slide and the trigger is in the SA, there is slight, tiny pre travel, like 1-2mm, and when i pull the trigger, the gun is making some weird scratching noises. After i go past through these 2mm, if i release trigger it wont get back, and there will be no additional pre travel and no noise next time i pull the trigger until i rack the slide again.
It also aint happening when i pull the hammer to SA after decocking the gun.
Is it normal? Or, am i even comprehensible?

92s do that as well. It’s the firing pin block

Shoot from a rest so you know whether it's you or the optic. Peoples eyes are different, your eyes may perceive the dot differently than his resulting in a different POI, especially regarding ligmatism
