32 Eurofighter Typhoons Offered To The Philippines. The PAF's Multirole Fighter project is a competition between the Eurofighter Typhoon, Saab Gripen, F-16 Block 70/72 Viper, and the KF-21 Boramae. >https://defencesecurityasia.com/en/philippines-eurofighter-typhoon-gripen-f16-fighter-jet-race/
Why didn't the frogs offer their Rafale?
>>64248907Philippines are too rich for the rafail
>>64248905Seems like a simple choice to go for the Gripen. Cheapest all included price and also very low CPFH.
>>64248907Anti-corruption measures in the Philippines are too strong
>implying they're actually going to buy anythingThey love window shopping and the feeling of being a VIP customer with the big boys, they're not really serious about national defense and would rather funnel taxpayer shekels into lavish mansions, casino gambling and general turd world embezzlement/corruption.
>>64248905I don't think the Philippines can afford anything other than the Gripen E or F-16 Block 70. >>64249143>>64249721Fuck no. The Philippines is a poorfag country with Muscovite-tier corruption except with less assrape and AIDS. t. flip
>>64248907Why didn't they see the Israeli F-35s? Rafalesisters?
Gripen-chan will win.
>>64250326Seeing that the Indos went with the Boramae, it would not surprise me that this will be their choice.
>>64249143you spelled misspelled poor
>>64250866Poor has nothing to do with it, the Indonesians didn't have the money for theirs either, but France set up a credit facility to loan them the money so they could buy them and keep Dassault in business, and also because France wants to cultivate Indonesia to support their Indo-Pacific presence (originally the intended defense partner was supposed to be Australia until AUKUS happened and the submarine deal was canceled, so there is also an element of spite involved.)The Philippines is either seen as too deep in the US camp (making F-16V a foregone conclusion) or simply not important enough to be worth the effort
>>64248905They will choose the GrippenPhilippines will Leaned Back Too Far and Grippen Through That Canvas Ceiling
>>64248905They could buy 2 F-16 for every euroshit or le frog aircraft. The Gripen might have some advantages for the increased cost, like landing on untraditional runways. The F-16 can use just about every weapon made in the USA and Europe. However, the eurogo fighter and le frog fighters cannot. The French and Germans are about to have a meltdown, again. It will be funny to see.
America sold Taiwan $6B for like 80+ VipersAmerica then put a price tag on 20~ Vipers for the Philippines and it cost them $5BEven America knows they're too corrupt and it's just their usual circus shitshow, if America knew they had the capacity to pay they'd give them a serious offer
>>64251362>babbles about the Rafale despite it not even being involved in the contract>babbles about the Germans despite the Eurofighter bid being run by the Italians>babbles about weapon compatibility as if that matters when the Philippine AF doesn't have any weapon stocksTell your parent/state appointed guardian that you should have your internet privileges taken away.
>>64251662You flipped the numbers the wrong way around for Taiwan. It was $8B for 66 Vipers at $121M each. The reason why it's gonna cost you $250M for 20 Vipers is because you've gotta start fresh from group up. When the US left in the 90s you guys left Clark and Subic to rot, even with $500m of EDCA investment since 2015, Basa, the most restored base, can't do more than basic maintenance on Vipers. So what this package is gonna include is building up all that infra, training of ground crews to run things, shipping pilots off to train at Morris or Holloman for a couple years. Then there's the armament itself of a couple hundred Fox 2s, Fox 3s, couple hundred JDAMS and a couple dozen Harpoons. All of which Taiwan already has stockpiles of. It might seem expensive but you're getting full after-sales service from Uncle Sam and if shit goes down with Chyna going after Formosa we're gonna have a hell of an easier time sharing who can borrow who's bombs.
>>64248905Eurofighter is too expensive to run and require high levels of support infrastructure and technicians.
>>64250866>>64249941And even the Philippines being too rich for it really should tell you how much of a trash 3rd world bait the rafail is
Locksneed martin never sends their best shills.
>>64254290>how much of a trash 3rd world bait the rafail is sounds like you are projecting
>>64251362Apparently the F-16 possible acquisition is on hold or something, meaning, it's possible it's the Gripen. Also, there are rumors that the next batch of 12 FA-50s of the Philippine Air Force will be the single seat F-50 instead. Remember that its development was cancelled because of KF-21 Boramae, but KAI announced resumption of its development last year.
their best set up is basically like this>basic bitch prop trainer from korea>fa-50 for advanced jet training>gripen for cheapo jet they can launch every time chyna trolls their airspace>convince america to sell them f-35bs and p-8 poseidons>if they ever want to take the double engine pill their only real choice is the f-15ex
>>64248905F-16 will win thisNot because it is better in any way but the US is preparing for war in the pacific and they want the resources to maintain such equipment in the area as well as throwing locksneed another bone. Adding to that it's probably the cheapest option and ph is not a semi-pariah state, so neither the eurofighter nor the rafael is particularly enticing.Maybe the grippen since it's cheap and if ph only plays a defensive role in the upcoming CH/US war they don't need something with long range.Same with the french subs and the nh90
>>64255336Who in their right mind would buy $250m F-16s in 2025? There are better options
>>64258254read>>64251880
>>64254464It's factually correct sadly, only piss poor 3rd world countries bother with the rafail, mainly because they are forced to
It's going to be the Gripen because only Sweden is willing to gib gibs to a turd world shithole who historically is allergic to paying for their own shit when it comes to military equipment. With Trump they're never getting discounts or gibs even if their Chairforce really wanted the F-16V.The current corruption scandals doesn't help, they could field hundreds of Vipers if they actually wanted to but they prefer gambling it on casinos, buying lavish mansions outside their shithole and buying luxury vehicles.
>>64250402>Seeing that the Indos went with the BoramaeSource? Last I hear indonesians wanted out of the program
>>64258619>iTs FaCtUaLlY cOrReCt SaDlY why do you sound like a poor cringe 12 yo
>>64248907Rafale is a good plane, but there's most likely problems with the avionics. Another anon said Chinese spies managed to get information on the Rafale via 2 French engineers. Honestly sounds like spook stuff. But considering the performance of the Indian Rafales vs the Pakistani J-10C, it wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. But again this could be due to having Indian pilots.
In a real shooting war only France will give up planes on a whimAmerica won't and will pussyfoot for aid and expect nothing from the other even more pussy Yuros especially the Gripen and YurofighterIf the Philippines were a Commonwealth country I'd say go for the EF
>>64255336Nah. Flips confirmed that F-16 is temporarily out of the question, so it's most likely the Gripen
>>64261781They were using the Rafales as striker and Flankers as escorts. Flankers are dead weight.
