What are some guns you would refuse even if offered to you for free?
>>
>>64253878
>LE BAD GUN MEEEEEME!!!!
You are the blackest gorilla nigger on the net.
>>
>>64253878
Why would i refuse a gun that works?
>>
use for what? punching holes in paper?
>>
>>64253878
None because all guns are fucking awesome.
>>
>classist nonsense
get a load of this guy
>>
>>64253878
None.
Also call me weird but I want to try one of these hi point.
They aren't sold in europe sadly
>>
>>64253878
sig
u cant pay me to take any new sig
>>
>>64254221
Get a job you broke nigger
>>
>>64254242
they're fine but single stack 9mm handguns are kind of gay.
>>
>>64254255
I own more expensive firearms than you. Talking shit about cheap things won't make you less poor.
>>
>>64253878
Any old H&R revolver with hard rubber grips because they always stink like a cow's asshole.
>>
Tikka/Valmet 412 O/U double rifle
Biggest pile of shit I ever witnessed in my 10 years of being a gunsmith and the only gun I banned from being bought, sold or being accepted for gunsmithing in our store.
Everything else Tikka/Valmet is more than fine, but this thing is just a flawed design.
>>
Nagant revolver would be a decent example, I passed on them when they were very cheap. Basically everything milsurp is often trash, but if it's in obscure chambering that is not available or loadable, it's irredeemable.
>>
>>64253878
Is Hi-Point actually shit or do people just shit on them because they're cheap?
>>
>>64254934
They are shit compared to other common handguns. But they aren't a common handgun. They are typically the cheapest fucking thing you can get that will fairly reliably go bang without detonating in your hand. With a warranty so robust you can us it as a hammer for 5 years, drop in a lake for 20, fish it out, send it in for repair, and they will give you a functional gun back as long as the frame isn't fucked, which it rarely is. The trigger sucks shit, sure, its as bad as my century cetme trigger was out of the box, and you have to learn how to let the trigger reset properly. Its heavy as fuck, and pretty bulky, sure. But it is cheap and it works. I have 3 assembled, 4 more kits, all for less than $100 and some plastic out of a 3d printer. Them geting printable frames actually made the new guns more valuable because the parts kits got more expensive than the guns in stores.

So i'm not gonna claim they are good guns. But they are often the best gun that wildly poor people have been able to get to protect themselves with. And if something goes wrong you can still easily beat a man to death with it. And I think that has value.
>>
>>64255002
Sounds like they have their place in the market, I've always wanted a 10mm carbine because I mean just look at it.
>>
>>64255014
To the best of my knowledge, since a lot of the sns companies went out of business for various reasons, they are just about the only player in the absolute bottom end of the price range. Their PCCs are hilariously fun because most PCCs already use a heavey straight blowback system, so the competion is a lot closer than one would expect. The single stack mags are a bit of a pain though.

I almost forgot, the handguns, the slide weighs so much, that if you arent limp wristing it, when it chambers the next round it snaps the entire thing down hard enough to nearly completely counter the recoil. So if you try to hold it still and just keep pulling the trigger, it's gonna help you keep rounds at least close to on target. If you limp wrist though it can do all sorts of stupid shit, which is a think a lot of where people manage to get them to jam and then cry that they aren't reliable.

Interesting, thanks for writing that out. I'm kind of sold now, the guns have personalities and as long as they don't blow up in your hand, that counts for a lot sometimes.

When i was younger, I would have taken any gun for free. Not so much anymore.

I own 7 guns, and I have more coming as inheritance from my dad once that time comes. But my dad gave me advice which I thought over for quite a long time, and I have come to appreciate: He said "Don't collect shit guns." He still has a couple of pistols, and he straight up told me that when the time comes, I should not take them on, but rather sell them. Most of them are old-shot-to-shit leftovers from various projects, and I already have a pretty decent collection of good quality guns. In my country the loicense paperwork is a hassle and takes money, and he just doesn't think that those guns are worth it.

So, "don't start collecting shit that doesn't serve a purpose". Even if you got it for free, it's still shit. Just get a solid collection of various types, and be happy with them. That's enough. This also avoids collecting some weird-ass calibers that are a bit more rare and expensive. Especially if the gun itself is an old piece of shit.

And these days I am inclined to adopt this mentality. When I was younger, I would have hoarded as big a selection as I could have. But now, not so much. Have a good selection, maybe one or two backups/alternatives for the work-horses, but don't clutter your house with random old junk.
Kinda the same as "just because someone gives you a free couch, you might not want to have it". You are limited on floor space, the couch is old and has ...stains and such. I mean, free couch is a free couch, but... maybe pass this time? Or if you take it, just give it a touch-up and put if for sale.

Same deal with guns. Don't collect junk.
>>
>>64255159
Quality >>> Quantity matters for any kind of collecting. You'll never afford the nice stuff if you keep nickel-and-diming yourself buying a lot of cheap crap. It doesn't matter if you're talking guns, antiques, fine art, or pokemon cards. Quality > Quantity.

That said I'd never turn down a free gun. Even if it's crap it can be sold or traded up towards something better. Nobody said you had to keep it.
>>
>>64253878
I bought a C9 out of curiosity. It is a crappy gun, but it worked and it was fun enough for the meme value.
>>
>>64253878
Absolutely no:
Sig P320 - Shake awake
Taurus 24/7 - Shake awake
Poorly made revolvers - simply not worth it. A bad gun in an inferior design is a waste of time.
Any eastern european military rifle - inaccurate and untrustworthy crap

Sketchy to buy new, but i'd hesitantly accept one as a project:
Any .40/10mm glock - needs an aftermarket barrel with proper chamber support to be fully safe
Sig p365 - random spring/striker failures, can not be a trustworthy CCW without aftermarket parts
Any CZ - random parts always turn out to be junk, always needs work, range toy only
Any 1911 - sure, i'll take a free 1911, and then spend the cost of a new 1911 at a competent gunsmith
Used S&W revolvers - see 1911
>>
Glock of any gen or model.

Desert Eagle

I have to fucking pay to get a permit for every single firearm, so my limitations are A: it needs to function B: it needs to be in good shape C: I don't have it already D: it needs to be worth more than 149€, because that's what the permit costs.
If the permit is paid for me, then I'll take anything as long as it's not scrap metal
>>
I can't even say zip 22 because they are collector's items now. I'll say "Brazilian scrap metal guns." Or maybe the ol' handgonne.

I don't think there's a single gun I'd turn down if it was free free, but there are certainly ones I'd take down to the next gun buyback and turn in for a $100 gift card for McDonalds. I'd happily exchange some Saturday night special for 30 McChickens. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".
Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.
I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.

Anything not made in europe desu.
I would never trust shit made in the US.

If you live in a regular state, couldn't you just buy a regular lower and have a good AR-15 for cheap?

My first gun besides a .22 rifle and a 20 gauge bird gun when I was a kid was a Sig P6. Now I have a P226 among many others. P6 is still sweet even if it has a shit trigger weight.

>he says as he labels anything and everything he disagrees with an -ism of some kind
Still waiting on those expensive firearms, btw. I'd love to see your SCAR 20 build.
>>
>>64253878
A Glock and I have. Had one issued and used an M&P instead. Piece of shit jams in too many shooting videos. The jig is up and they're losing contracts, we only still issue them because we're broke af.
>>
>>64258601
>cops have effeminate wrists and the (lack of) strength to match
Many such cases.
>>
>>64255206
Can you suggest any good brands for the 10mm Glock?
>>
>>64256405
You know you can just take all that CA stuff off if you don't live in CA and have a normal AR.

If somebody offered you a $1500 DDM4 for free with a fin grip would you turn your nose up at that even though you could remove the fin in 5 seconds?
>>
>>64253878
Any left handed gun. Probably Rohm revolvers too.
>>
>>64253878
Basically anything that isn't a gucci 19/2011 made from African butt diamonds (or whatever). Even then, I'd probably just sell it. I have more than enough guns already.
>>
Rock Island 1911

Famous for the only gun jamming in John Wick franchise. You can't thumb those hammers, and honestly you shouldn't have something with a light striking hammer anyway. They are also overpriced for the craftmanship.
>>
>>64261315
You can’t thumb the hammer on my 1954 Colt National Match either, does that make it a bad gun?
>>
>>64253878
Any Turkish
>>
>>64253878
None.
>>
>>64253878
I have refused .22s before. I inherited a bunch of .22 single shots and bolt actions, they weren't well cared for but even if they were they weren't that interesting or valuable, as I already owned a 10/22 I was happy with; and I ended up just giving them away. Since then I've been offered more from various people looking to downsize and I just don't have room or need for them. It comes down to the fact most .22s are intended as kids starting guns and throwaway backyard plinkers, so they're made cheaply to begin with and just get left to rust in an attic somewhere, so fast-forwards 30 years and you've got a piece of shit that isn't even with its weight in scrap.
>>
>>64261330
You got a Bubba'ed gun son.
>>
Any glawk
Or sig saur
>>
>>64258800
I've seen them jam in just as much gang shooting vids. You can look up plenty of Glock limpwrist videos too. Meanwhile it's impossible to limpwrist an M&P 2.0 because they upgraded it to prevent that. There is yet to be a Glock 2.0 because they, like you retards, will not acknowledge there's an issue for whatever reason.
>>
>>64253878
>>
>>64254111
Given that it being a working gun isnt guaranteed in the OP... speaking of
>>64254184
>>64254221
>>64254242
None of y'all'd be saying that if you got asked to shoot a Zip-22, and probably the same with a Jennings, Bryco or Jimenez handgun. Genuinely unsafe, all of those.
>>
>>64253878
A Lorcin 9mm. Only reason I would accept it if I was drunk and I wanted to shit post but I would NEVER shoot it or even tell anyone in real life thag I own one.
>>
>>64261541
>i- it also happens to gang bangers!
So this is a common problem amongst low IQ groups such as nigs and cops whereas everyone else in the world has had success with their Glocks. I'm glad we've reached an agreement.
