I haven't seen /pfg/ for a bit, what have you been working on?
>>
the fifteen threads on neck protection
>>
>>64256084
Pfg died with all the incessant spam threads from the billions of shitskins who have just recently discovered the internet
>>
Also, not really /pfg/, but I designed one of those Glock baseplate clips after seeing the recover tactical version, works pretty well
>>
>>64256094
Dang, maybe we can bring it back, I miss the creative side of /k/
>>
The absolute unbelievable cope of the Glocksucker, has to put pull handles on his mags because they don't drop free like literally every other gun in existence. LMAO
>>
>>64256141
I was actually just thinking about this the other day, some dude had made a version of a blue force gear quick adjust sling and I forget what he used but he posted a webm and it worked the exact same. Shit was sick
>>
>>64256151
Was it 3D printed?
>>
>>64256084
>Zip-tie mag pull
Do you drill the mag body for this?
>>
>>64256182
Ya, just above the lip for the baseplate, below the liner. You have to slip the zip through a coil or two of the spring, but it doesn't affect function.
>>
>>64256229
Valid. I'm fine with this for pistol mags, at least. I have a few seriously heavy zippies (like hand cuff grade) that might work on AR mags. Might even Dremel a slot. An 1/8" end mill bit, for a vertical mill, is a serious digger on plastic.
>>
>>64256173
No not even something like that, iirc it was a repurposed adjustment tab from an army ruck repair kit with 550 or dyneema tied to it. I think he said the whole thing including the actual sling was $20
>>
>>64256271
Fair point about the wear, in the spirit of /pfg/ I bet you could also take a mini nail file and square off the hole. The zips have held up though; the one I clipped for the photo is a year old and has been used pretty regularly, still in decent shape, and easy enough to replace if it gets ratty
>>
>>64256116
You smooth motherfucker.

>>64256403
Fuck, doxxed myself as a super cracker honkey motherfucker. Now you can find me! 5/6.
>>
>>64256404
Should I have hyphenated "super-cracker"? Life is so hard. Just pull out the 7 inner strands of your fav paracord, and feed thru the line trimmer cord. 6/6
>>
>>64256404
4/6, I said life is hard. Counting sucks.
>>
>>64256421
Ya man, that's the shit we need, I tried the diy bungees too! Did you ever try doubling up the trimmer string?
>>
>>64256435
I love the circus mirror shot.
>doubling up
I used square 0.090" so doubling was not needed. prolly got the idea from you. Thx.

>>64256229
Is it worth having the ziptie lockimg mechanism on the inside of the mag body?
>>
Also I do /k/ youtube videos that are of poor quality and that no one watches. I would love to recreate a bunch of the DIY projects and infographics people make in /pfg/ and /gq/ with screenshots of the OPs so we can have a log of them all that can be referenced to in the future

Use the "fruit" on the outside of a green walnut. Should be just about falling off the trees at this time of the year. Wear gloves. Boil or simmer in stainless pasta pot (huge one). You can find them in the trash, at yard sales, etc. They clean with steel wool and come out like new. Anyways, simmer with a couple in there. For splotchy effect, throw in the stripped nutshells too. You'll need more than you think. Hang dry. Blow heat on it with a heater to really set it. Then clean with dawn and dry. Repat until no more dye runs. If too light, repeat.
>>
>>64258751
You could try, but the loop has to be loose enough to allow room for the baseplate. Also might not leave enough room for the follower. Give it a try and report back!

Dope, got a link?

Any poor fag sources for a cheap pvs14 gen 3? I saw some refurbished ones for 2400 including some extras. Is that an ok deal?
>>
>>64262297
I assume they're green phos?
>>
>>64262297
Prolly not a poor fag if you're looking at NODs lol, best bet is to keep an eye on eBay or gear exchange forums, might catch a deal. You could pick up a tube off eBay and assemble your own unit, the guys at /nvg/ could point you in the right direction. Poor fag option would be something like a nightfox unit or a decent flashlight

Did somebody say zip tie?
>>
>>64256435
Wait what? If you put paracord inti hot water it will keep its original form? What sorcery is this???
>>
>>64265266
You strip out the inner strands and replace it with weed whacker string
>>
>>64259703
Cozy videos. Keep it up anon

It's a f-feature ;-;
>>
>>64256084
>>64256116
>>64256229
Omg what a fucking retard. You are literally fucking retarded. Why did you buy a gun where the mags don't drop free when it's hot out because the plastic expands? Or really they have issues dropping free always. Just get a gun with metal mags like literally every other gun manufacturer makes because it's higher quality. Ok maybe it could be useful when your Glock inevitably jams and you have a phase 3 where you need to strip a jammed mag, but those zip ties are gonna break off.
>>
>>64265545
Angry lil fella, aren't ya? Rough weekend?
>>
>>64265781
Sigger crashout
>>
>>64256084
>>64256229
Those shitty plastic zipties will fail at the most inopportune moment, spend a few cents more and get the good nylon or steel core ones.

Another zip-tie mod:

Cheap serpa holster, ties, and a buckle strap makes a decent mid-ride rig. Softened muzzle end of the holster with a heat gun, then a shovel handle to widen the hole, now fits my obs 9
>>
>>64266039
Hadn't heard of steel core zips, you have a supplier you like?
>>
>>64266487
Whatever the parts department orders, we have corporate accounts with Grainger, Imperial, Fastenal, and a couple local places. You can find them on the web too, here's an example link.

Or check the holy bible of all supplies, McMaster-Carr.

Nice I just ordered some luminous tape.
