I don't care about "collector's value"
I've trusted my life to the thing for 15 years now.
14" ARs are for fitting supressors without bumping on too many doors frames to be annoying.
5.56 needs VELOCITY and retards out here making 10" 5.56 without understanding WHY.
So what the 16" is a Bush era compromise rifle.
The M4 is a compromise combat rifle.
All that matters is hitting a man sized torso out to ~500 yards reliably.

Depends on what your build is. Irons are the best way to shoot far unless you have a decent LVPO. Otherwise, they are there as a redundancy. If its the latter, time is of the essence because in a civilian scenario the chance that you're ever in a situation where your optic has broken and you need to stay in the fight has a probability of 0%.

Are Aero's M4E1 uppers good to go? Quality wise. I hear they have issue shipping orders so ill buy from primary arms or something
>>
>>64258992
Generally fine. I’ve heard they’ve had some qc issues of late, so keep an eye out for that. Tbh prolly one of the better uppers out there. Only sucky part is being locked in handguard wise. They also weigh slightly more than other options, but are pretty beefy otherwise
>>
>>64258992

I think the Colt M5 does this, but despite this neat feature, they ruin it by using a gov profile barrel. Pretty sure you can only get 16" uppers as well and 16" gov barrels are mega ass because the fat part of the barrel is extra long in the front. There may be a couple more manufacturers that do this. It's a meme feature though, only really done because LMT is loitering on top of the patent for mono uppers

ARMS rails and those VLTOR rails attach via a spine that goes across the picatinny on receiver and doesn't touch anything on the barrel itself, so I guess those? It won't. They already circumcized it in an attempt to make it smaller. It's a turd.

I personally think the 6.8 cartridge is a great design. Perfect for dmrs and as a 7.62 replacement. It just makes NO sense as a standard issue rifle. Just like we've established for decades now.
>>
>>64259939
I mean sure but I’m in my late 30s and don’t work either but I’ve never even thought about wasting peoples time or being a nuisance. That seems to specifically be a boomer mindset. There’s no little voice in their head that says hey MAYBE buying one 40 cent senior coffee and spending the next 4 hours chit chatting with my friends in the lobby of a business that is losing money because of me could be a bad thing. It’s like it doesn’t even occur to them at all that people don’t appreciate when you prance up to the register waving an empty cup, cut in line and demand a refill on your 40 cent senior coffee that it could be disruptive. They actually don’t care if businesses make money or people dislike them. Their only goal in life is to get everything they possibly can and leave everyone else with nothing.
>>
>>64259939

>>
>>64260229
All guns have issues. It was a literal glow op. People glazed the gun before being paid to shit on it. Only oxide had some minor criticisms of the gun before Ukraine. It was just a sad case of people needing to prove their loyalty in retarded theatrics.

>>
>>64260229
The AK12 does has a shit ton of issues retard. The original design was fucked up by Russian bureaucracy and corruption due building costs. No selector stopper, which can disable the rifle, can't take off the gas tube, unreliable 2 shot burst, top cover doesn't properly hold zero and the actual handguard is too short for accessories, among other issues.

Definitely was a "psyop" but to be fair on them all having the same opinions they all literally passed around the same rifle including oxide
It was a homebuilt AK12 built off a AK12 AIRSOFT receiver imported from Russia and assembled from random parts into a actual gun in America
(They claim there super secret Russian connection totally was just lying that they were for Airsoft and they were actually TOTALLY REAL stolen AK12 receivers just marked for Airsoft to be sneaky) Which makes absolutely 0 sense
I forget who put the rifle together but Iirc it was Brandon Herrera who is another grifter who doesn't know how to actually build a gun

Iirc also the AK12 same as Oxides "AS Val" and most of the Russian "Armor" he tested that didn't perform well
All illegally imported airshit that he claimed is "le totally real ;) they are just saying it's airsoft grade to get around import laws ;)"
All the cool guns were just receivers that were assembled at home from parts in America not real from the factory and definitely not even slightly a good representation of the actual guns

In Oxides videos and comments on the VSS where he says the suppression sucks he even says "nah dude and this suppressor we made is designed to perform better then the real one even!! The real one is just like some rings in a tube!!!"
So he claimed it sucked and it's suppression sucked based on a homebuilt airsoft receiver clone with a homemade suppressor not even closely built to the original suppressors specs

Fuck all of them

I used to think Oxide was really cool until I realized his cool guy "how did I manage to get my hands on this ;)" larp was just that a complete bullshit larp

They are seeing enough use on the Russian side to be captured in decent enough numbers to be seen used on the ukrainian side which I think answers the question of both them being used in number and them being good rifles (good enough to see use after capture)
The 3rd assault brigade is using alot of AK12s
As is Azov
As is the International Legion
As are many other ukrainian groups

So again you are saying this based on what?
The review of a bunch of YouTube BRCC shills that passed around a homebuilt AK12 built off of a airsoft receiver by Brandon Herrera who can barely build a normal AKM and has spent the last 10 years trying to figure out the magic of upscaling the AK to fire 50bmg (which Mark Serbu claims he did over a single weekend as a fun project)

Yeah, that doesn't seem like that many. Aren't they trophy weapons BECAUSE they're rare? It's just mostly AK74s
>>
>>64260423
GOOD
this gay war was never cool and i'm tired of it ruining this board
I hope they both lose
>>
>>64260426
Do they not teach you how to read on Reddit?
Ukrainian OFFICIALS are using them as trophy weapons to display

COMBAT GROUPS are using them in combat
At a minimum 3 different groups
3rd assault brigade
Azov
International Legion

And likely others

Seems like they captured quite a few of them and I doubt they captured the majority that are still being used by Russian forces

Noone said or claimed more AK12s are in service then AK74Ms but feel free to continue moving goalposts I'm not going to argue with a shill and anyone real can see what I posted and make there own decisions

Most information on the war in ukraine is posted to reddit twitter or telegram and reddit is the only one of those you can browse or search without a account
