Should Germany rename the Eurofighter? It sounds like a plane designed to fight Euros, which is obviously an unfortunate connotation for them.
>>

Eurofighter is the consortium, the aircraft itself is called 'Typhoon'
RETARD.
>>
>>64258893
Should Germany rename the consortium, then?

only the UK uses the name Typhoon. Everyone else uses the name Eurofighter.
>>
>>64258900
Only if it's a direct derivative. The Panavia Aircraft is another example of European joint venture created for a single project, trying to add unrelated projects is creating problems (new responsibilities, work share, etc) when the well established companies that created that joint venture can do the same for the next project. CFM is similar even if they renamed the CFM56 to LEAP because the newer core is considerably better and marketing tries to reflect that.

Italy call it F-2000 Typhoon. It even has "Typhoon" written on the tail of every Italian plane
Spain it's C.16 Tifón
>>
>>64258893
>Typhoon
>naming it after the WW2 aircraft most famously known for poisoning its own pilots and strafing friendly yanks in Normandy
Yikes
>>
>>64258914
>>64258924
Official "Akhtually" italian nomenclature is F-2000A/B. It's usually just called the Eurofighter tho.

Sure, I just meant from official AMI communications. I worked as an armiere in the 4th Stormo and we never called it typhoon.

Typhoons are weather control devices. Grippens fight only mythological creatures. Mirages fight nothing at all, they arent real and are only seen in the desert.

Oh for sure, you want me to post sensitive images? fuckwit. Feel free to show me a single DOI where we call it "typhoon".

So if you're talking collectively about both F-2000A and TF-2000A (which you called F-2000B earlier for some reason...) as a family of aircraft, what is it?

Fighting Euros is a time honored tradition for every single Euro country, not just Germany.
But I guess for the plebs memory only goes back to grandfather and that's where history ends.
