I can't believe I let guntubers with frt's convince me to buy a taurus. this thing sucks ass out of the box.

I couldn't get through a single mag with the tx22 without multiple failures. Not even frt'd yet, using good cci ammo. The internet hype got me fellas

>taurus. this thing sucks ass

I am shocked... said no one, ever
>>
>>64275467
I knew better and yet I still took the bait
>>
>>64275402
Its always better to spend money on good training or good guns than spend it on expensive gimmicks.
>>
Try a different CCI anon, then report back
>>
>>64275402
Scrub the inside of the mags and don't use the spring guide tabs when loading. Also let the gun sit a couple days with the slide locked back. Fixed mine, but it's still a POS with cheap bulk ammo, love the ergonomics though.
>>
>>64275483
yeah but BRRRRRT
>>64275486
I'll keep messing with it eventually. It seems like the pickup on the slide just doesn't go low enough to grab the next round.. or the mag isn't getting them high enough. typical bad qc you'd expect from a bunch of trogladytes, hoping some polishing helps
>>
>>64275512
i'll try cleaning up the inside of the mags better. didn't seem to matter if I used the spring guide thing, the taurus mag loader that came with it, or just pushing them by hand.

Man my Mk4 worked flawlessly out of the box and has eaten several thousand rounds of everything from a mystery meat sandwich baggy from 20 years ago to subs. The only thing it didn't like are the ecospeed (which say bolt action only) and the colibris (which say revolver only). Imagine not buying something that just works when you could wait for an FRT for a 10/22.
>>
>>64275402
Try federal white box 22. I've never had a gun have issues with it. Hell, my FRT with a cmmg .22 conversion kit works with it just fine.
>>
>>64275557
there is an frt for the 10/22
>>
>>64275402
you gotta run ccis for the first 200 rounds on most 22.lr pistols, without it might have cycling issues.
>>
>>64275402
shoulda bought a bersa
>>
>>64275402
.22 ammo is cheap try a bunch of different types
The Aguilar stuff has loob to slip in easier ifykwim
>>
>>64275512
In the beginning I had a few stoppages that were mag related but the gun itself has ran flawless. The problem seemed to go away after I cleaned the mags and put a couple hundred rounds through it. Works great with the can on it too.

I have never in my life seen a plain smooth .22 bullet that had NO ribs, cannelures or features on it whatsoever. Even basic bitch shit has a couple of cannelures at the very least. What kind of unbelievably shitty literalwho ammo is that?

That is the 5th type of ammo you tried, right? Not the ONLY type of ammo you tried, right?

Right?

So take an expensive class just to shoot 10,000 rounds at paper 10 feet away? Please tell which training we should undergo.

Looks like cci clean-22, polymer coated lead round nose. Comes in 40 grain 1270 fps, 40 and 1070, or 45 and 1000.

Judging by the type of failure, he's either not got enough slide velocity, which could be weak ammo. Or, his mags are sticking and not lifting the next round in time, possibly from the polymer coating being higher friction on the nylon mag than traditional waxed bullets.

Either way, he needs to try more ammo.

>buying a gun from a brown country

Why would anyone expect their guns to be good when nothing else about them is good? They don't make good cars, good societies, or anything.

If you get a good tx22 they are the most reliable 22lr handguns around. Maybe try getting better luck?
>>
>they're reliable if you get a good one
>they're reliable if you use a very specific type of ammo
>they're reliable if you polish the feed ramps, the rails, the inside of the magazines, and never get it dirty
Very impressive "reliability"

I tried CCI clean subsonic and it ran just as good as the regular CCI subsonic. My tx-22 also eats those little orange armscor boxes like nobodies business. The only ammo this gun has choked on so far is the CCI quiet, which is not made for semi-auto guns anyway. Even then it runs about 60% of the time.

Not OP or that anon but that just jogged a memory. My Ruger Standard hates feeding Aguila 40gr round nose supersonic despite it liking 1280FPS 38gr hollowpoint supersonic. The little extra length in the bullet of the 40gr round nose makes the nose rub the front of the mag and causes retarded amounts of feeding issues. OP might be experiencing an ammo length issue causing the noses to rub the front of the mag.

The 10/22 is already a jam-o-matic, that sounds miserable.
>>
>>64275483
t. dork who doesnt spend money on training and foxs/grapes FRTs because he cant stand the idea of paying 500 dollars
>>
>>64275402
Mine has had 3. And that's with shitty Winchester ammo. Other than that its fine.
>>64275512
Yeah that grip is pretty nice. Could be a tad wider at the bottom but
>>64276845
Did he stutter? Whelp...

>>64275402
Mine ran perfectly

I will continue the cheap thrills
