Are there any scopes with integrated red dots on the market?
I want a good optic for my battle rifle/ hunting rifle combo.

Going to a gun show tomorrow to hopefully sell my M1 Carbine/trade it to get an M1A. Bottom line, what should I pay at most for an M1A? I'm thinking 1,300 for a standard 22" barrel, maybe 1800 for a loaded model.

My guess was $1400, but I'm always low. I think your estimates are good. Loaded will be $2100, or more for show prices.

How do I become an anime deviant? Is there a link to gun cat girls or something? /out/ is all faggy with yuru camp shit, it is so boring.
>>
Henlo friends.
I want a .308 rifle that's on the lighter side so I can hunt comfortably with it. I am also a graduate student and therefore poor. Any recommendations on how to start narrowing things down? I've got a bit of choice paralysis since there's so many options and I can't find a way to meaningful distinguish between all the different AR chassis for example.
I was going to some shops locally but they just have whatever random shit there and comparing prices online only the handguns are reasonably priced; the rest it's better to buy online and pay an FFL transfer fee.
Is >>64282187 accurate? Some of the prices seem much too high but I don't really know. Any other major platforms to know about?

I think it's a bit dated and the R1 should be subbed for the FNAR. $1300: https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/rifles/fn-rifles/used-fn-america-fnar-308-20rd-ar-10-3108929262.cfm?gun_id=103254936

Fellas, gunshow anon reporting back in. I sold my M1 carbine for 1,100 to a private individual. A little less than I was hoping for, but I used the funds to buy this 1993 NM M1A. It came with 8 mags, a sling, incorporates USGI parts, and is glass bedded. I don't think today could have gone any better.

I don't think it needs to be. Gun prices rise and fall all the time, but rarely exceed an upper limit or lower floor. It's a good image for giving the impression of what you can expect at what price points.

Any thoughts on the Ruger SFAR?
Seems like it's anything but aesthetic, but quite functional and light, particularly for the price. Gun shop I went to said they just sold theirs though so I'd have to come back next week to fingerfuck one.

Had some quirks with the gas settings. All the problems early in release involved the gas not being high enough. That's what happens when you use an AR15 adjustable gas block on an AR 10. It's been fixed by now... probably.
>>
>>64286752
Its fine.
The stock gas system doesnt have granular enough adjustments for .308.
Ive got mine replaced with a pinned riflespeed.
The stock it comes with, I forget which one, is just about the most narrow magpul makes.
I swapped mine with a vltor I had lying around.
I still need to swap and test different spring and buffer weights, but with these mods it has tamed the recoil to an acceptable level.
>>
>>64286365
I still paid $600 for the M1A, but it came with all the mags and a sling, so I'm quite pleased.

Ah you're that anon from the other thread that I convinced to buy the M1A over the aug. Good for you, and I'll feel bad for the sucker who paid 1100 bones on a boomer tax rifle. I don't understand the appeal of M1 carbines.
>>
>>64288184
>I don't understand the appeal of M1 carbines.
I feel ya there. I can't help but like them, but so far, I am 3 for 3 for them being disappointing. Unreliable, and the parts like to break. I did sell that carbine with a few bandoleers of ammo, so I think it was pretty fair.
>>

Nah. You guys need to let them pay whT they will pay. If $1100 is market price, then good luck to them. They obviously have a different value of money and that's ok, too. The only real time I feel bad is lowballing on a distress sale. That's really taking advantage, BUT the seller doesn't have to accept, so...

>I know this /brg/. What the fuck is wrong with people?
Covid craze inflated prices and no one wants to lose out on money, so they keep pretending their $100,000 home is still worth $450,000. All the economists say we're in a housing bubble, but who knows when things will course correct. Could be next year, could be 20years.
>>
>>64289978
All the big new battle rifles either fizzled out (Sig Spear) or never made it to market (Perun .308, Beretta ARX 200, Styer DMR). We're also in a bear market, so unless you're making over $38/hr, you're not shooting with any regularity.

>Could be next year, could be 20years.
By the looks of it, the market is already falling apart due to amount of houses for sale in my area, hell there's one down the street with 5 acres asking half of mill and it's been on market since the beginning of summer. The crazy thing about that asking price, those fuckers only live in the house for 6 years, yet bought another house literally 15 minutes away to be closer to their friends. I assume they're either loaded or stupid with money.

Back to /brg/, what's a good price for those Armalite Fixed Carry Handle AR-10s, a LGS has one for 1500.

FALs can be had for the 900-1300 range if you're diligent enough. I nearly bought another Imbel last night, my current one is getting rebuilt by Randy Kline right now. I guess I'll hold out for an Argy if that NIGGER M604u doesn't beat me to another

I've learned to never underestimate how stupid people can be. Housing bubble come from somewhere. Trump sweeping out the Biden excess housing tenants is a start.
If we're talking 90s Armalite I just sold mine finally for 1K cash after it sat for 4 months listed 3 places. I wanted 1400 for it originally so 1500 is mega high. There's like no parts compatibility btw between ArmaLite and most AR308 parts

M80 Is still the cheapest true full size rifle round out there, if your battle rifle doesn't dent brass running a brass catcher on your gun isn't a bad idea as you can reload 7.62 NATO with a hand press even.

With the ammo factories pumping out ammo for israel and ukraine, I wrongly assumed ammo prices would drop due to supply and demand. Prices aren't dropping and I feel like I was played. We're making more ammo and guns year over year, but prices have only risen slightly, no dropped. I want off Mr. Bone's wild ride.

Check auctions and local forums, sometimes you get some wild deals from estate sales and stuff.

Range report! Deeply envy people who know their way around garands and m1’s
