After what happened with that train stabbing I want to carry a pistol for self defense. I dont care how it looks I just want something thats the most effective for the lowest price. I thought about getting a used glock cus at first I heard it was efficient but then I found out about the amount of misfirings that can happen with them. Whats a good option for a used pistol? I plan to try and get a concealed carry permit too otherwise I would just get something thats bigger just to intimidate people off from trying to mess with me.
>>
>misfirings
Whar? I hate Glock but they're popular for a reason. Tough, reliable, basically retard proof. Buy a 19. Open carry is retarded, dont try to "intimidate" people
>>

Beretta PX4 Storm compact in 9mm.
>>
>>64285484
I heard from a guy whos a cop that glocks had more misfires and jams than barettas but I cant find any hard statistics on it. It might have been for older glock models too.
>>
>>64285472
Just get a .22 revolver that goes bang and 99.9% of creeps will fuck off. The other 0.01% a bigger gun won't matter anyway.
>>

Berretta saleman.

that's only going to work vs rational actors, and it assumes you've not been caught off guard.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Cooper#Combat_mindset_and_the_Cooper_color_code
you'll want something that's hard to fumble, getting jumped really makes a mess of your ability to really do anything.

like what?

idk, if only considering a simple manual of arms. Smith and Wesson Model 649 or HK P7.
but they cost way too much and have worse performance than more bulky and complex guns.
anyway m&p 2.0 compact seems cool, and if you can stay calm and aware what I'm saying does not matter so much.

I'd recommend a pocket carry gun because they're the most convenient and noids won't see them printing and target you to rob it from you. I carry a S&W Bodyguard .380

>>64285484
>Tough, reliable, basically retard proo
Don't listen to this shit it's basically religious dogma by retards who wasted their money on this garbage brand. We learned too late that Glock was trash and now too many people are invested in them. They fail in about half of police shooting videos. The real plastic fantastic are S&W handguns, particularly their M&P 2.0 line. Can't be limpwristed and shine in torture tests. They addressed and fixed all the typical issues with lightweight plastic handguns.
>>
>>64286302
i also recommend a pocket pistol, but an lcp2 or lcpmax in .380acp
>>
>>64286302
>>64286320

dont you already have like three threads up?
>>
>>64286302
Limpwrist issues was fixed with gen 5, cope.
>T ditched the M&P 2.0 once Glock fixed their shit
>>
>>64286371
and when gen10 hit they will finally change the shit sights and with gen 15 they'll improve the trigger and at gen 20 they'll make all their guns optic ready and at gen 25 they'll add a threaded barrel to the standard length glocks

or you could buy an HK VP9 (SK for CC) and get all of that now.
>>
>>64286381
Sites are a non problem, trigger already fixed with gen 5, MOS is already a thing, and who the fuck would want threaded barrels to be standard lmao

Pathetic

First, if someone attacks you and you don't see it coming chances are you're already dead, doesn't matter what gun you're carrying

Second, What I'm about to say depends on legislation in your cunt and which judge in particular is dealing with your particular case, but even in the most permissive jurisdictions this is sound advice.
If you carry a gun you have to be a saint, you have to be the one that deescalates arguments and you have to know when to back down to avoid a conflict even when you're in the right.
Suppose you're getting into an argument over something like a parking space.
If that other person sees you have a gun (not drawn or pointed at him or anything, mind you), that person can go to the police claiming you threatened them with your gun, and good luck proving that you didn't.
Even if in your jurisdiction the police/courts side with you over a he-said-she-said type situation, enough bullshit like that and you get your gun taken from you just to be on the side of caution.

Point is, if your gun is intimidating it's much more likely to draw trouble from sanctimonious cunts and petty faggots than it is to make a potential attacker think twice.
In fact, if a potential attacker sees you're armed, there's a good chance they'll decide you are the first person to go for rather than be intimidated, which circles back to my first point.

If you get a gun I strongly recommend aspiring to no one knowing you're armed until you decide to draw it.

Glocks have a real and relevant issue with jamming if you hold it wrong while firing, which is why you see them jam in so many cop cam videos. The solution is to just hold it properly, but sometimes that’s not possible for someone with barely any training during high stress situations.
>>
>>64285717
Torrents looks like. It's one crunchyroll but you need premium.
>>
>>64285492
I bought a LEO (cop) trade in glock and it was a jam o matic at the range even after receiving a professional cleaning + lubrication prior. Avoid used, at the very least, and listen to the other anons warning you. Glock is cult status so people dont want to hear what is essentially an unfortunate truth.
>>
>>64286371
>gen 5
>when gen 3 is still the universal constant most people who aren't fanboys own.
Should've fixed that shit on round 2 nigga
>>
>>64286476
This is sound advice. Its a gay analogy but the one I use with newbies/normies/women etc is that you have to be a jedi. Be good, be nice, deescalate like this anon said. Only draw that lightsaber when you must, and only to defend.
>>
>>64285492
It could be an issue with the number of glock on the market. If there are 10,000,000 glocks and 10 jam. But only 100,000 brerttas and 3 jam. It looks bad for glock until you do the math.

I'm not at all saying Glocks are better, but there are more of them out there than Berettas. It would be cool to see department track and release jams on their guns based on brand and model.
>>
>>64285472
That liberal Ukrainian woman's mistake wasn't that she didn't arm herself. It was that she relaxed around the blacks. When in an area like that, don't listen to music on headphones, don't get distracted by your phone, and don't do anything that takes away your awareness. The second the large man sat behind her, she should have stood up and walked to the other side, not faced away from him.

>>64286371
>Limpwrist issues was fixed with gen 5
It took until Gen 5? Couldn't they have done that around Gen 2 or 3 (after all, it was the number one reason people were buying the SIG P226 instead)? And if they've been fixed, why do they continue to happen when Gen 5 has been around for 6 or more years?

The guy you're replying to definitely isn't the one coping; you are.
>>
>>64286371
>>64286386
NTA, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt. thought that maybe you'd be telling the truth. Only to find out that you're lying and Gen 5 still has a limp wrist problem. The only pathetic person here is you.

Do not open carry unless you're in redneck country where its somewhat common. Criminals are not rational beings, seeing your gun will make them feel insecure and make them MORE likely to fuck with you not less.

I'm a Beretta fanboy, but Glocks are fine. If your forearms are weak, jerk off. If they're still weak, jerk off other men to get more forearm and wrists strength. Don't be a faggot with limp wrists.
>>
>>64287674
That was my point, I hadn't played the games when I watched the anime, but I knew about them and as such something like that was roughly what I expected. I'm not complaining, the show was great, it just wasn't what I thought I was going to get. Same with Hateful 8, I went into that expecting a spaghetti western, not a locked room mystery.

Compact is twisty. Subcompact is completely different.

>>64285472
- These folks would kill you for the $20 in your wallet if they thought it was worth the heat and hassle. Walking around with $1000 of shiny iron exposed (5x that value in the black market with serials filed off) is dumber than walking around in nothing but a 24 carat gold thong.
- Striker pistols are cheap (and thus popular) but newfags should stick to hammer fired DA/SA with a decocker. Safest way to walk around with one in the chamber. So +1ing the PX4 Compact, but there’s others like the XD-E. P228 is probably too long for most to conceal well enough.
- Better use of your money is saving up for a car. Best use of your money is saving up and leaving the city. Suburbs are goated for a reason. The nice parts of town sabotage public transit for a reason.

Taurus 605 stainless, you're poor, and likely won't need more. Taurus Revolvers are good enough for you to spend decent money on ammo to practice, and get a good waistband and pocket holster(stickies are 30 bucks). It's heavy enough to not hurt, the grips are 2 1/2 fingers so it fits in the pocket nicely and faggots who are concerned about the hammer haven't learned to just cover it with their thumb before drawing. It's also like 350 bucks new. You won't miss it when the cops inevitably confiscate it as 'evidence' after you defend yourself.

In the case of the train incident, it was more that she was at the wrong place than anything else. I've been to areas with tons of feral apes around, but I always had my surroundings in check, and I always drove their in my own car. Public transportation, as you can imagine, is not the safest with the amount of homeless/schizo's that climb aboard. Even semi-normal looking people can freak out for no reason, ex. that one bus incident where a guy started to harass a couple of fem muzzies, and a zoomie stood up to him only to get stabbed.

My recommendation is buy something that you will actually carry and not leave on the occasion that its too uncomfortable for a trip.
