For someone who lives in the woods where getting a shot over 100 yards is all but impossible, and over 150 yards is absolutely impossible, why shouldn't I throw my money at one of the few .45 PCCs available? Seems like the ultimate balance of light weight, portable, easy to suppress, inexpensive ammo, but capable.I feel like a lot of people shitting on PCCs live out west or something, and yeah in that case, PCCs as anything but a range toy seems pretty pointless.Although I'm not a hunter, I don't believe for a second that a .45 Super load would not bring down the whitetail rats we have running around here.

But with a proper can the .45 sounds great. 750fps (45 subs) is already significantly easier to suppress than 1000fps (9mm subs), all other factors equal. That's not to mention the fun factor of seeing the bullet in flight which is not hard to do with .45 especially if the sun is behind you. Slow heavy bullets are just way more fun to shoot and people have known this even before smokeless powder.

I'd specifically avoid the .45 acp stribogs since reviews on them have been very mixed with quite a few reports of reliability issues though. Shame too, because they're really neat. The 10mm bogs weirdly enough seem to be having fewer issues.

>>64290071The Cmmg is absolutely not reliable, I had one of the .45 guard guns and it never got through a full mag without failure. I sent it back for repairs and when the gun came back it still couldn't make it through a whole mag. There's plenty on YouTube and reddit of people having similar problems with the guard/banshee guns and the dissent is the same thing made even more complicated with the folding stock.
