So if you’re a military, and your current stock of service rifles are getting old, and/or you’ve maxed out what’s available to “modernize” your current stock, do you drop a ton of capital to develop a new one? A little less to try and eek out another decade from your current stock, or go with a service rifle that’s been developed very far by another country that’s also a turnkey solution for the foreseeable future?

I'm not a bullpup fanboy, and the Tavor has all of the innate issues that come with bullpups, but I find it ranks better than the (military issue) AUG and the civilian F2000 I've shot. The trigger isn't competition levels of great, but it's about as good/bad as a stock M4 trigger though in a different way since it's at least more consistent than an M4 or M16A2 trigger with the burst setup. I found the Tavor charging handle very easy and the mag release is wisely ambi.It's not a bad gun in any major way, it simply suffers in the way all bullpups suffer which is there isn't a major justification to switch to it in a world where ARs have been perfected. Bullpup tactical advantages are mostly hypothetical while AR logistical ones are real.

The F2000 seemed overly ergonomically designed to the point where if you liked exactly where it wanted your hands to go I'm sure it would be good but I found it awkward especially the pistol grip. It also had that big optic which I didn't like but I don't hold that too much against the gun and IIRC the civilian import optics are different (and probably shittier) than the military ones
I got one with a Mars on it and it's been a joy to shoot. Just put 77gr and it's 1.5moa to 500m~Only brain rotted sky screachers who blame random dune koons for all their problems or polistianians have an issue with the tavor. I guess double digits who can't figure out the controls too but I don't like being rude to retards.
