Yes. Russia is having a gas crisis and some areas are actually running out of gasoline. Most gasoline refinement is Western, licensed technology.

Reminder, Russia is a gas station, yet its fuel industry is actually making a loss. Things are not going well.

What you zigzogs need to understand is that us moderate Ukraine supporters (TZD) have been fed a steady diet of doom-posting for the past 3 years.
We have been ingesting negative news stories on a constant basis, we have suffered through every demoralization tactic under the sun; and yet we still persist.
Right now we are at a turning point; the frontline has completely stalled out, the rate of Russian advances are negative in Pokrovsk, Lyman and Sumy, the Crimean peninsula has been getting hammered non-stop with long range drones and is functionally out of air defense systems, the black sea is now completely under Ukrainian control and every couple of days a new oil refinery gets blown up.
Though the war is far from over, I believe we have already witnessed the high water mark for Russia; it's all downhill from here.

Most typical cars don't need 100 octane, only people with either premium vehicles and something modern and sporty need it. Cars with turbos, some new uber high compression ratio engines and so on. Your typical car doesn't need it, so people buy 10x less of it.

>>64299229
Well, if that one Indian ai company was any indication.
>>
>>64299071
>easy distillates like diesel and kerosene
Diesel isn't any easier than gasoline. You pour hydrocarbon soup into a tall, skinny tank and then tap off diesel from the bottom, gasoline from the middle, and butane off the top, with some other stuff in between. If you're not Russian, you take the dregs from the very bottom and hydrocrack them before fractionating them again, but that's unknown technology for ziggers so they just burn it in turbine engines.

The point is, there's no point where gasoline is too hard to make so you swap over to diesel. If you lose the ability to produce gasoline, you've lost the ability to make diesel and propane as well so it's back to wood, peat, and coal for your energy sources.
>>
>>64299229
Remember when Amazon tried to sell their 'AI powered walk out technology' in stores when it was just a bunch of Indians watching people on CCTV and checking to see what they took?
>>
>>64299324
good quality high octane gasoline is AFAIK way harder
>>
>>64299325
which is doubly kekd since I've worked for a short time as a contractor for a startup which had actual working tech where software handling it without people, a ton of logic had to run to achieve this and a ton of cameras had to be placed in stores, but it worked without jeets faking shit
>>
>>64299324
>>64299326
the thing with diesel is that old indirect injection engines are much less sensitive to the quality of fuel, to the point that you can run them on used cooking oil with minimal adjustments but this isn't true for modern direct injection engines with super fine high pressure nozzles that are as temperamental as their gasoline counterparts.

Diesel is a direct distillation product of crude oil. All you might need to do for it is to hydrotreat it to remove sulfur and other impurities to lengthen lifetime of some components and conform to environmental regulations, but you don't *have to* do that. Straight-run diesel works, even if somewhat poorly.

Straight-run gasoline (naphtha) is not fit for automotive use. It has an octane rating of about 70. It needs hydrotreating, isomerization or catalytic reforming and then blending with other products to produce the desired fuel.

Any transformation of heavy distillation products into fitting fuel requires further refinement as you said, and Russia can't replace that capability either.

It is, in my humble opinion, pants on head retarded that the last election was decided in large part because left wing voters were concerned with a genocide that Biden was never ever going to be able to stop (the fucking Israelis can't fucking stop Netanyahu), and on the right wing people listening to our Geopolitical rival about how throwing less fucking resources at Ukraine than we did at Iraq would somehow "ruin the country" and "make it more woke(?)"

>Doesn't have to be Monke, any of the numerous kremlin shills in the WH would do (Witkoff, Vance, Gabbard, etc).
I'm not sure they really matter. At the end of the day, the people who matter are the president (Trump), the secretary of state (Rubio), the secretary of defense (Hegseth, but he's a Trump toadie, so basically just write in Trump), and the director of the CIA (Ratcliffe). But nobody cares about the vice president or the assistant undersecretary of special envoy affairs. It's just not how that branch works.

I don't think Tulsi Gabbard matters. I'm also putting on my tinfoil hat a bit, but I suspect they use people like Gabbard to psyop the 5th columnists a bit. Maybe I'm wrong, but she was some military intelligence psyop lady in the reserves, and was speaking at a schizo anti-Ukraine rally during the election, and they weren't saying "vote for Trump" yet, but they were aiming their fire at Biden, and then she says "vote for Trump" later, to get these people to get the Republicans back into power, and she's rewarded for doing her part. But she's ultimately an opportunist who won't pass that up. Remember, 5th columnists are very gullible and can be maneuvered around fairly easily.

US cars aren't tuned for lower octane, the US uses a different unit for octane rating that appears lower.

>Because of the 8 to 12 octane number difference between RON and MON noted above, the AKI shown in Canada and the United States is 4 to 6 octane numbers lower than elsewhere in the world for the same fuel.
Russia uses RON(research octane number) for fuel types, and "100" is most likely marketing stunt(bigger number better!) for AИ-98 type gasoline, and that would be 93 in AKI(american system, ron+mon/2).

As others have pointed out its a supply and demand thing but to answer the implied question 95% octane does not mean the fuel is 95% pure octane (which is a chain of carbon atoms 8 carbons long with hydrogen atoms sticking off all the sides) but rather that it is a mix of hydrocarbons of all different lengths that will burn with the consistency of a mixture of 95% pure octane
Higher performance engines are more sensitive to inconsistencies in the way fuel burns and thus require higher octane ratings in thier fuel but since these engines are rarer and more expensive when shortages happen its the lower octane fuel that often runs out first

The horseshoe will never get that flat, it's simply not human nature. Removal of 5th columnists will not magically make people fear having opinions, if anything it would encourage people who otherwise would never voice their opinion for fear of being associated with aforementioned nutjobs to actually speak their minds if they don't think they're going to be berated by half the cancer and have their words taken out of context to support the other. We are literally living in a time where 5th column cancerous tumors outnumber legitimate discourse in media simply because any legitimate ones are actively targeted by every single one of these outright hostile groups regardless of if said foreign groups otherwise get along or not.
If anything the most impressive part is that they haven't managed to actually do anything to change how people think aside from just making all but the most gullible or herd minded people blatantly distrust not just media group A or media group B but ALL mass media.

Ritter was a public figure going back to the run up to the Iraq War (he was a UN weapons inspector in the 90s, he dramatically resigned in protest, was a very vocal critic of the Bush administration's case for invading, etc.). Newspapers and cable news channels referenced him fairly frequently in 2002-2003. Between that and the already made blackmail material, you can see why the FSB loved him.
But Copelord isn't important enough for Russia to give a shit about. The dude was a terminal army captain. Literally the first time a promotion wasn't automatic, he got up-or-outed. He was a nobody law student when Ukraine kicked off and he was rocketed to twitter fame. Then he was an Assistant District Attorney somewhere in Alaska for less than a handful of months before he got unceremoniously booted (the rumor in copelord's lolcow-watcher fanbase was that in addition to being generally worthless and incompetent he also gave the DA a picture he drew of her as an anime girl which I'm sure went over great). I have no idea if he's currently even employed.
Copelord's not worth bribing, he's not worth blackmailing, he literally does it for free. And he's ludicrously overpaid.

>And is it going to win them the war?
If they can keep it up, absolutely. Kill enough refineries and Russia will have to start importing fuel, when up to now it's been one of their major exports. You can't wage a war if you run out of money.
It's also possible that Russia will adapt by placing more air defence systems near its refineries, which means no more burning refineries, but also that those air defence systems won't be defending Russian positions in Ukraine.

Imo it has to do with people naturally settling into binary thinking. Trump, Macron and Netanyahu are all very unpopular in their countries, but keep getting elected.

The reason is that while they're supported by significant minorities, the majority is still divided and so they happen to be the consensus. As long as Macron is in power the fringes feel like they are the majority against the consensus party, but during election season it becomes clear that those Fringes are leftists and fascists, the fascists inevitably win the primary elections and so the leftists pinch their noses and vote for Macron, then go back to hating him until the next election cycle.

In geopolitics it's even worse because people are clueless and the binaries are really nebulous, when you hear about "Western", "US Allies" or "Global South" you know you're listening to bullshit.

Imagine there being no fuel in USA. How does a guy shipping important resources from, lets say, Maine to Florida do this if there is no fuel to power any of the means of getting it there? If you can't get to work, how does the economy stay afloat? If companies have to fire people to cut costs, what do those people do to survive?

Then ask you what happened to Germany when it ran low on fuel near the end of the war.

As always the reply to these kind of posts (to any, I add, Copehair Baldlord wouldn't listen anyway) is;
>If Ukraine is losing 40:1, then why isn't Russia advancing faster than a snail?
Because what the fuck is stopping them? It's the same shit with
>It's all old men and women and kids defending hoholstan now
So Russia is being held back by them?
>All the donated weapons were sold on the blackmarket (the very thing that Russian soldiers did before the war, btw, so always accuse the enemy of what you do)
So Ukraine is holding Russia back without any weapons?

These are diametrically opposed logical opposites. You cannot be systematically killing 40:1 but also not progressing. Physically moving in enough forces to halt an attack if the DEFENDER is losing 40:1 is so fucking insane that you'd be moving dozens of km per day. 40:1 losses is literally Zulu War tier losses (i.e; guys with rifles, field guns, rockets vs guys with spears and shields).

War economies can keep on chugging indefinitely, especially resource based ones like Russia is. Granted, thing will get shittier and shittier on the home front, but Russians are servile bugmen who will just be glad they are not among the ones doing the fighting

Anon you missed my point. If you physically don't have fuel to put into a car or truck or train or aircraft how the fuck do you get a person, resources etc to where they need to go? Sure you can change the economy and move to a different way to make money but if you PHYSICALLY cannot shift those resources to where they need to go you're fucked. If a worker can't get into work because they cannot afford to buy gas to fuel their car to get to work then the crane doesn't operate etc.

>Indefinitely
Then why are all wars in history definite? Do you know what the words you say mean? Because, quite clearly no, a country cannot sustain war-time economies indefinitely; what they are doing is leveraging future prosperity and turning it into production in the present tense. It is by definition a destructive and harmful economic practice that puts countries on a definite timeline to total bankruptcy.
>>
>>6429896499>>64298985
With Trump suddenly going 'Ukraine can achieve 2014 borders' you might be right to think this.
>>
>>64303705
Not him but they'll just start rationing it for priority sectors like the military and emergency services first and then lorry drivers and so on. They already have subsidies, price controls, and an export ban in place the latter two which depend on yet more subsidy as compensation.

Russia can probably buy out export contracts with emergency funds in the NWF (down to ~$40B) as well if things really get desperate at home. Or communistically seize shipments meant for export.

Obviously all of this has a cost but that's what he's saying. Russia's war economy has expensive levers it can pull to keep things going were fuel to become scarce.
>>
>>64303709
Just ship them to the front lines. Russia is already a glorified city state. The SMO is merely expediting the depopulation process of the rural areas

Ok senor autismo, clearly indefinitely wasn't meant to be taken literally as in until the heat death of the universe, but I meant for a long long time, long enough for the economic angle of the war to be of secondary concern when it comes to what's going to win the war for either side
>leveraging future prosperity
You think they care? This war has become existential for the Russian state. It didn't need to be, but it sure is now, so they will jeopardise whatever future for Russian people as long as the survival of the state is guaranteed
>>
>>64303723
>Ukraine can achieve 2014 borders
they should go further. take rostov and krasnodar(via a completely legal referendum of course) at the very least(maybe also kursk and belgorod oblasts(formerly ukraine anyway).
this should kneecap russian imperial ambitions, being cut off from the black sea and constantly reminded what happens when they try to fuck with their neighbours.

Think about it like a credit card, inumerate retard-kun.
You cannot "indefinitely" take out money on your credit card. You have a limit. You reach the limit, they stop giving you money.
Of course, you could always just fucking die and your debts will be "forgiven", but you're fucking dead; that isn't an economic strategy.
No; Russia cannot sustain war-time economic measures INDEFINITELY. The timeline to total economic collapse is VERY MUCH in the forseeable future. It doesn't matter if Herr Monke takes his foot off the gas pedal or not; the weight of reality will come crashing down none the less.

Seriously; how many years do you think Russia can sustain this war? Do you imagine this dragging out into the 2030s? The 2040s?

Is this meant to be a rebuttal zigger? Care to provide even a morsel of evidence that Russia has reneged on contracts to ship fuel products abroad?
Yes. They sell what little refined product they have abroad so there is less domestically because they care to honour contracts, and receive foreign currency, than to sell their fuel for cheap to poor Russians.
>>
>>64303747
I don’t see the Russians pulling out. They are in too deep and will fight to the last zigger and last bullet. however if f-35s and b-2s are provided and used that would change everything
>>
>>64303787
Well, let's see
We're at 30% of Russia's oil production capacity destroyed, most of which has happened in the last 3 months. At the current rate we could expect -300% oil production capacity by the end of the decade.
We already have cash-cow mega-corps like Gazprom failing to pay their worker's wages and selling off major assets to stay solvent.
Major aero-space companies like Roscosmos are almost totally bankrupt and will not live to see the end of the coming year, let alone the end of the decade.
You have fuel shortages for civilians even in Moscow; there are lineups in the hundreds of vehicles to acquire rationed amounts of fuels.
Let's add to this the depletion of Russia's strategic supply of transportation assets, their aging supply of trains and railway networks, the ever tightening blockade on shipping vessels, the tightening sanctions imposed on countries like India that buy their oil and gas.

If you want my predictions, this winter will be devastating for the average Russian, and it will foment major political upheaval. This will not be the end, of course, but it will be the beginning of the end.
By 2027, I expect Ukraine to be launching naval operations to set the stage for an invasion of Crimea.

So yeah, "two more weeks" all you want; you are a child that cannot think further than the current news cycle, a year or two into the future must truly feel like an "indefinite" time to you.

It is time to establish that Ukrainian clay predates the Soviet Union. Just because the USSR stole it doesn't mean that pozzia gets to keep stolen property. There are no "inheritance rights" to occupied territory.

Contact your political leaders & representatives. Make them back the orange toddler into the corner of his own making. Bribe him with a peace prize nomination if that's what it takes. Because you can't shove crude oil into a car and the car will go. You gotta convert that oil into gasoline and then put it in. The conversion process requires expensive machinery and skilled (i.e, trained) workers. If you don't have those or if your skills are now much more valuable, you're paid more and price goes up (also supply and demand yadda yadda). So that's not a paradox. Oil can be getting cheaper but gasoline gets more expensive. You dig up more oil, oil is more available, you can sell it cheaper... But also have to pay more for gasoline. It's like going
>BARELY IS CHEAP BUT BEER IS GETTING MORE EXPENSIVE WTF???????????

The cracking process, despite being relatively basic Industrial Revolution-era tech, is beyond the capacity of the subhuman vatnig race and so with sanctions in effect for many years and Ukes switching targets to destroy their forbidden archaeotech refineries their gasoline production capacity is being slowly choked off.

OK, so this is a painting by Wojciech Kossak, a Pole. I'm 90% sure this specific gesture is a reference to an entirely different event in Poland, namely Tadeusz Rejtan trying to block the government session meant to legalize the partitioning of his country between foreign powers. Basically saying "you'll only do it over my dead body", except Rejtan was a noble, and this was some literally who facing savage Tsarist lackeys with zero respect for human life, who had no problem putting a bullet or sabre blade in a bared chest.

Also, completely unnecessary. Crimea is easily sieged, which has been done historically even without the ridiculously easy mode of modern naval and satellite surveillance tech. Crimea requires water, and no water gets to Crimea if Ukraine says no. Game over.

You're right, I won't because I'm an American. I'll be sitting comfy in my warm home overheating cheeseburgers and laughing as Russia freezes over. The ones who will be "doing shit" will be the Russians who still have the tiniest modicum of a spine. The thing about slave nations like Russia is that their herd mentality can very swiftly turn from complacent sheep to bloodthirsty revolutionary, all it takes is for enough people to get pissed that the sheep think that siding with the rioters is them siding with the majority, and they'll happily follow the herd.
