>>64301309 #Furries are a plot by werewolves to desensitize us to their true form, it’s only partially done, but they first started with sport mascots, then furries are becoming more and more visible in the public eye, soon you’ll see them out and about every day in metropolitan cities. They will become a protected class even. Then true werewolves will be free to roam in the true beastly form. Similarly to how vampires are using goths to normalize their appearance. You should absolutely invest in silver bullets. And keep a clove of garlic in your abode.
I'll remember to take a picture of my new CZ75 over these sheets for you guys
>>64301314Ah, a /hg/ thread made by Burt. It's like slipping on an old glove. What is the next handgun you're all looking to buy and why? I'm actually considering that CZ-75D PCR on GunBroker that was linked now that the original Anon said he can't buy it.

I barely passed, the 5-7 rings saved me
>>64301412https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1127784765I just bought a CZ75 P-01 for $500 so I can heal the damaged reputation it has received online from the past decade through sheer force of autistic will. It also has nearly $500 in added CGW parts. I talked about it at the end of last thread. Excited to use and carry it while it's colder and I can.>>64301433Thank you fellow citizen
Good evening gentlemen
Tanfoglio steel compacts and sub compacts for 400, limited pro for 725 on patriot defense. The catch? All 40 s&w
>intewnet man say evwy singwe pawt difwentI inspected every part side by side. They will be marked IDENTICAL, COMPATIBLE, or INCOMPATIBLE. The difference between "IDENTICAL" and "COMPATIBLE" in most cases is superficial casting/MIM ejector alterations, not dimensional differences. >>64301489>All 40 s&wEww.
Finaly fineshed printing the chassis. Just gotta install the frt and this thing should be pretty fun.
Thinking about a shield plus. Those who have one, any reliability issues? First smif
Realistically often should you do a full teardown of your weapon for cleaning/lube? I'm a new gun owner and I have a feeling that if I took mine apart I would lose something or simply be unable to put it back together.
>>64301550Every gun I buy, I take apart and put back together ten times in a row just so I can get a good handle for how it works/goes together. When a gun is in my rotation, I'll lube maybe once a month but I only clean if I get mechanical failures (rare)
>>64301550A field strip should be all you need to do to clean, it’s not until very high round counts 10k+ would you be required to clean out extractor channel and perhaps the firing pin fire
I’ve been in desperate need of a handgun to carry but am on a pretty restrictive budget so I have been looking to make trades. I found someone interested in a .22 bolt I have offering up a Beretta Nano with a few mags and holsters. Anyone here have experience with them before? I know 6-8 round mags isn’t the Reddit meta right now but in all honesty I don’t feel that concerned if I just carry a spare or two

>>64301556You don’t do that. That’s fucking ridiculous. If you do, prove it to me by showing me your best painted miniature and your 2000pt warhammer army
>>64301550Like every 5 minutes is good.
So as we can see when James Reeves said "every single part was changed," that was hyperbole. It was false. Not only are a number of parts indistinguishably identical, MOST small parts are completely interchangeable between the two guns. When Daniel Defense vehemently insisted to me that their disconnector would not fit in a Hudson, they were wrong. Here is a Daniel Defense disconnector in my old Hudson frame. It has returned full function to the gun--no more dropped resets.I confirmed all relevant parts interchangeability with a pencil test.
>>64301559I wouldn't carry a .22, that's for sure. I don't trust rimfire for reliability>>64301563I don't play Warhammer. I only buy one handgun a year or so, it's not a bugnaskmto spend an afternoon familiarizing myself with it

Became a firearm owner today. Of all the pistols I tried, the 92fs felt the best.
>>64301754Absolutely rad anon
>>64301754Congrats, Anon. You're among friends. First, get yourself some 18 round magazines by Mec-Gar. Next I'd look into getting a holster: AIWB if plan on conceal carrying, OWB if you don't. Finally, find a place to get good basic handgun training in your area

Multiple guns of the same caliber? y/n? Seems kinda pointless to me but I'm very new. I just have single glock 17 and don't know what to get for my second gun. Another handgun, a rifle like an AR or maybe even a shotgun.
>>64301797Thanks for the tips, friend.
>>64301821Yes. Just having to buy massive piles of 9mm makes life so much easier. You don’t have to bring different ammo types to the range and run out of ammo of the gun you want to shoot
>>64301821You could get a PCC (pistol caliber carbine) in 9mm. It would be cost effective since they share ammo. As far as what to get next, it would depend on your tastes and your needs. You have a very practical gun in the Glock 17 so you can either get another very practical weapon (an AR) or get something you think is just cool like a revolver or 1911. Personally, I think every American of sound mind and body should own, operate and maintain an AR.
>>64301822I would also make sure you shoot A LOT. 9mm is pretty cheap so you can get a lot of practice in. Don't make ANY changes to your gun until you've shot at least a couple thousand through it.
>>64301654>FUCK!!!Just don't answer the door for a week. People forget.
>>64301860Was planning on getting it to a range this weekend and putting some rounds through it, very much looking forward to it
>>64301412Local shop near me has a 50 Alaskan contender with a ported 10 inch barrel…. It’ll fit right in with the rest of my collection… hopefully it doesn’t sell before December….
It's amazing how mounting pistol dots is so eclectic and hard to find information on.I've had a dot come loose twice. So far Ive seen>scrub all the threads with acetone>use loctite 234 over 242>apply a drop of E6000 adhesive between all of the mounting surfacesWhat pisses me off the most is the complete lack of hardware standards, its a horrible mix of SAE, countersink angles and Metric.I think all of the optics companies should come to a gentleman's agreement over standardizing proper hardware and mounting solutions...
>Beretta GeneralBased honestly
>>64301914Also, the front recoil stop holes are all wallered out like a used up pussy on my Holosun now.It still mounts flush to the plate so Im gonna send it but still...
Steyr m9a2 project I've been working on. The slide was cut for a Glock MOS footprint for a Holosun SCS, which was one of the only optic that could realistically cotwintness. Ended up having to relocate the rear dovetail and have new rear sight metal printed, thankfully keeping the trapezoid sights. Grabbing a light soon and going to try making my own kydex holster, anyone given it a shot?
>>64301914Excuse me "Loctite 243"
>>64301914USE VIBRATITE VC-3 YOU FUCKING MORON
>>64301941No, I'm shooting this bitch supressed and everything I've seen says Vibratite needs oxygen to set properly and can't handle high heat applications properly.243 is the last step before red loctite, or just trading your pistol in.Really the optics manufacturing companies need to come to a standard across all brands.
>>64301412An utterly stupid purchase but something I'm willing to liquidate alot of my unshot guns to have I just built a .45 ACP 2011, which in the 150 rounds for testing it seemed to run great feeding and ejecting, but this is the gun I really want.
>>64301958YOUR OPTIC MOUNT IS NOT HIGH TEMP YOU STUPID RETARDI have maybe 5k rounds on my PX4 compact with an RMR HD using vibratite without issue. Vibratite withstands 10mm recoil fine. vibratite needs 20-30mins to cure onto the screws before you install them, I do not think it needs oxygen after that. stupid fucking bitch
At this point I just want my P365 back and eventually a Glock 26
>>64301937based home tinkerer
>>64302007What happened to the 365? Annnd would you like to hear about the pistol savior known as the CSX?
>>64302052I think some bastard stole my P365 and my 686 out of my car that I left unlocked like an idiot
>>64301914Excuse me but you already made two entire threads about how you were incapable of reading or asking Holosun for screws or determining boomerlore from fact, we don't need even more of this in here now thanks.
>>64301519The FRT fires 1,900 rounds per minute, but becomes single file when there's a can on the end (even a flow can). Otherwise, that looks like a sweet rig. The brace will help a lot, as dumping a mag in under a second really makes the thing climb, even if just .22 lr.
>>64302073I wonder if anyone has considered putting an air tag in their AR in the storage tubes in case it gets stolen. Maybe if you have a 10rd cuck magazine you could fit one inside

>>64302103Well I dont live in a communist shithole so I dont bother with 10 rounders aside from having a few to zero my ARwhich I probably should get to doing but I kind of want to save up for an ACOG

>>64302111I should pick up a few 10 round AR mags as well just because it's easier to maneuver while prone

>>64301314Just traded my VP9 for a .40 P229 without knowing anything. I got it because it looks good, that's about it. I'm a certified modern Sig hater but I decided that if it was good enough for the military it's good enough for meQuestions1) I'm pretty sure it's an American slide. No german proofs, it just says "frame made in germany." I've also dated it to early mid 90s. Are these gtg or has nu-sig monkey fucked them?2) should I get a 357 sig barrel or keep it in 40? I kind of wanted a gun that wasn't 9 in case of ammo shortages but I feel like this would be a good gun to experiment with pistol caliber ballistics3) why does it look/feel so fucking nice
>>64302171it's almost like metal hammer fired guns are inherently nicer than injection molded striker fired guns, join the club and shed all your polymer slop
>>64302190But I love my PX-4 Compact
>>64302192that one can stay, but it's hard to argue that if it had a metal frame it wouldn't feel alot better and refined
>>64302171I luv me VP9... Sad. Anyway, if you have a .40 or .357 nig P229, you can make it take 9mm as well as the missing caliber of the three I just mentioned. You'll need different barrels and extractors, maybe some other things I forgot about.>>64302073If I had a car I'd never have guns in it since it's just a big theft target in general anyways, sad to hear though
>>64302190Unfortunately I will still carry a G43x and compete with a G17 but yes. my 92a1, SP01 and now new P226 are the best feeling guns I have
>>643022069 seems like more headache than it's worth. I'm probably just gonna keep it and .40 and maybe get a 357 barrel since I literally don't have to change anything else out with that caliber
>>64302209You should get a revolver
>>64302156Primarily home defense, wanted something that felt good in my hand, is reliable, and shoots straight. 92fs checked all the boxes for me. Plus it looks sexy. Thanks for the tip!
>>64302246I love my 92 but I don't love the grip. After getting new grips, it feels like a brand new gun. I love it. I tell you this to let you know it's an option in the future. For the time being, leave to stock until you git gud.
>>64301314have not updated collage
Anybody ever seen a colored weaponlight other than the green and blue Olights?(tan is not a color, it is shit)
>>64301821If you have one gun you don't know anything so shut the fuck up
>>64301335That's why you should get silver coins set in the grips. So they can't pick it up and use it against you.
What should.I start looking into adding to a stock 92fs? I have a decocker only LTT Px4 and I really enjoy that setup, so should I look into the TJIAB or are there alternatives I should consider? Any recommendations on replacing the grips or specific magazines?
>>64302092Was gonna try to tune it a bit to get it to run with my sparrow. Heard people are having mixed results with heavy springs and or adding weight to the slide. So ill probably try that if I have issues. I haven't seen anyone using the sparrow with the frt so no idea if it'll run or not (probably not lol).
>>64302264Here's mine compacted if that helps with compression. Cheers, collage anon!hg-qual-9-25

>>64301335bros i kind of unironically want to have my CC blessed by a priest and carry silver bullets in case this kind of stuff is actually true. am i rarted?
>>64301412i'm getting a glock 21 cause i want to experience some of that big bore glock magic that everyone raves aboutthat or finally gonna acquire a kahr t9. cause its cool
>>64301454>>64302342>>64301619I see 24 holes so that's going to be -60 points for off paper, -25 points on paper, I count 215 which is a pass.
>>64301754you did good anon
Oh yeah I forgot to mention I looked at the striker channel too. DD has the same vulnerability to dry fire as the Hudson did. It's already quite noticeable after TWO (2) dry fires on this brand new gun.>>64302343No idea mane, dunno, probly not, they have objectively fixed some of it, prices seem to be blowing out atm ~$850, they might get cheaper
>>64302246>home defenseThen you'll be wanting 125gr Federal HST for your 92FS!>ThanksNo worries~ have fun and take lots of pictures>>64302365Phew, thanks anon! Am glad to have passed but I'll continue practicing with my pistol. My next goal is to keep groups within both A zones on an IPSC silhouette at 15 yards

>>64302405I thought I remembered a sale not too long ago where they were $699 but that must have been the RIA 5.0 or something.
>>64302335The TJIAB is nice, but a lot of people will say that 80% of the benefit is in just the trigger bar, so if you're pressed for money, just get that. If you want grips, go with the Wilson Combat thin ones. For magazines, most people like the 18 round Mec Gars.
https://lokgrips.com/gun-grips/beretta-92/thin/checkered-grips/These are the grips I use and I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. It feels like a brand new gun

I plug the muzzle, fill the barrel with CLP and let it soak for 5-10 minutes along with the pile of slide and frame components. >>64301754Good choice anon. The only thing I highly recommend is installing this kit. https://www.beretta.com/en-us/product/92-96-series-steel-trigger-spring-trigger-and-d-hammer-spring-E00691 It's a cheap upgrade and makes a huge difference. It's also pretty ezpz to install, though the trigger return spring can be a bit of a pain in the ass.
>>64301335Not seeing an issue.
>>64302854Nta but I’ve never been able to get the hammer pin out so I never changed my hammer spring out. Oh well. Trs was easy.
>>64303003Odd since I don't remember having any issue with that with either of my M9s, but you don't actually have to remove the hammer pin. You can just tap out the pin holding the lanyard in place and replace the hammer spring that way.
Speaking of 92fs/m9 guns, I’m thinking about sending mine off for frame safety. Is there any reason I shouldn’t? Figuring I can get the front sight modded for fiber in the same swing.
