What is your favorite cheap ammo? I have some WWB coming in today and I wanna order a big-boy 1000 round pack. Is it worth it to pay a little extra for Blazer or Federal?
>>64304673if you want to save money and shoot cheaper bullets then use a fucking 22 idiot
>>64305117>if you want to train cheaply with your defense gun use a different gun, idiot
>>64305117Noguns spotted, go back to >>>/lgbt/
>>64304673Blazer 9mm costs the same where I live and though I don't have a chronograph, it definitely cycles more reliably, is shinier/less oxidized, and burns cleaner. Also easier to find in stock for some reason
>>64305176What about federal?
>>64304673I like Magtech. You can generally get it from a site on ammoseek for ~19-20cents a round and I've never had a single failure from it. I also like it because my local range sells it too so if I run out of the stuff I bought online I can just buy more in-shop for a bit more and still have the consistency of running the same ammo
>>6430519719-20 assuming you have the free/conditional free shipping filter turned on. It goes lower obviously if you don't have free shipping but I don't bother with that personally because I find it annoying to dig through them until I find one whose shipping rate doesn't make it end up costing more than just going with the slightly higher cost per round but free shipping.
>>64305117If i want to do it cheaper, I use airsoft, fuckwit. But that won't pack the same punch so it's not the same as the real deal.I use Sellier & Belliot. It's the cheapest around here (EU) that can still be considered good quality. I haven't tested it too much, i shot about 2k of it and haven't had any issues yet.I hear GGG is "too" cheap, but I also shot a bunch of it (~200ish) without issues.
>>64305117just throw a rock faggot
>>64304673Oh yeah also Fiocchi is great for .223 training purposes.
>>64304673>What is your favorite cheap ammo?whatever is cheapest at a given moment
>>64305207I think I've officially given up on ammoseek and just use sgammo now. I swear everything cheap on ammoseek has retarded shipping costs. sg is one of the few places I've found that have a flat $200 threshold for free shipping.
>>64304673I usually use wwb, cmp or magtech, havnt had issues with any of those. Ive had some problems with blazer and other random cheap shit i bought to save a few bucks. Those three are usually pretty cheap
>>64304673Winchester White Box is good if you want to train on failures to fire. In all other cases, spend a penny or two more to get reliable ammo. Fuck WWB.
PMC in my .38 because my local hardware store stocks it.Pre-covid stockpile of LC M80 in my .308.
>>64305338This. Dud rate for WWB 22LR seems to be about 3%.
>>64305256Use the free/conditionally free button like he literally told you to do in the post you're quoting dumbass. It will never show you anything that has shipping fees beyond the threshold each vendor displays.
>>64304673Winchester and Remington are such dirty ammo, lot of unburned powder on the casings. My list of ammo choices by order.>Fiocchi>CCI Blazer>Federal>Magtech>Aguila>Prvi Partizan
>>64304673My favorite range ammo is the cheapest ammo. Realistically though I guess it depends on the gun how effective they are. My poorfag 9mil pistol will shoot anything reliably, but it groups quite obviously better with federal as opposed to something like blazer.
>>64305145how did you know right away he was a NAFO ukraine shill?
Sellier & Bellot my beloved
Does anyone know if Winchester white box M193 is still putting out milspec 5.56 velocities?I don't own a chronograph
>>643051179mm is like sub 20 cpr these days and its vastly more fun than .22, no reason not to use it
>>64308511Isn't all winchester 5.56 lake City now?
>wwb sucks>wwb burns dirty >wwb has shitty groupings I don't get it. I've used wwb 115 grain 9mm for nearly eight years and never had a single dud. And the groupings aren't bad either. They aren't as good as hand loads, but they've always been more consistent than blazer or whatever cheap brand my store happens to have in at that time. I don't get it, am I lucky or did I buy when their QC was good? For reference, I buy most of my ammo from a local store that prices wwb 9mm at 10 dollars per box of 50. I'm going to take a look at some of my old boxes and see If I can't find a date of manufacture.
Cheap Winner
>>64313197I feel like people have one bad experience with a type of ammo and bad-mouth the brand for years. Or their standards for cheap range ammo is way too high.
>>64308312Same.Like magtech also, though have had problems with it in a 9mm sp101. Rim width is apparently variable.
Shot some WWB today and I don't understand why people call it super dirty. It's definitely not clean but I didn't think it was any worse than Blazer or Federal.
>>64313197I definitely think it's dirty but idc because I like cleaning guns as a part of my hobby. Been using wwb for a long time. Should probably use more as one of the last us owned ammo manufacturers.
>>64313281Some brands that used to be shit have improved over the years, others that used to be very good have degraded and the reputation persists for better or worse because no one is actively testing and comparing them, but they repeat what others told them.
>>64313197>>64314658I wouldn't worry about it. These are the same guys who'd complain about any minor inconvenience and act like it's the end of the world.
>>64313197my dad had a wwb 9mm with a pinhole through the rim cutout, it blasted the extractor completely out of the gun and they never found it. He gave it to me and I had to have a gunsmith make a new one from scratch because there are no parts for it anymore. Weird gun, the trigger is on rollers instead of hinging on a pin.
Normally I spring for Lawman, S&B or Fiocchi when they're on sale. Not too proud to use FedAE tho
>>64308168The number of dicks in his mouth
>>64311460Good question? The SKU doesn't have the LC descriptor in it anymore, it's just WM193 now
whatevers cheapest, the rest is in gods hands
