Building my first ar15 kit. Are optics actually that important? I just want an AR to shoot at the range.

are you a nigger?
asking if optics or irons are important is like asking if you need a monitor for your computer
>>
If you cant hit anything with iron sights then dont bother shooting at all.

no, and i'm not a fucking chink either. i can fully open my eyes and look downrange.

Indian then...

You need to spend at least $800 on optics. $1500 would be better.
>>
You need a $1000 scope and a $600 red dot and $2000 NVD. Minimum.

Don't listen to these anons. You need at least a $3000 thermal, a $600 red dot and a $1000 scope.

Just aim down the rail like you do on a hunting shotgun. You don't need autistic adjustable irons or glass until you've put at least a couple thousand rounds down range and are already shooting tight groups that just need to be refined a tiny bit. Anyone telling you otherwise is trying to get you to waste money on a tacticool laper meme.

Just say you're poor

Honestly doesn't even seem like OP is able to afford the bare minimum basic essentials.
