I am young and broke just starting my career, I will hopefully be able to afford a proper safe soon, but not yet.I need some help with creative but discrete locations to keep my firearms in my home. Obviously I could spend money on these silly "freedom frame" or furniture that turns into a gun storage, but I dont have money for that either. I need to improvise. One thought is I can use velcro straps under my table to keep my rifle. I live alone and children/safety is not a concern. I just dont want my guns to be out of sight and out of mind.Looking specifcally for long guns, but ideas for handguns are welcome as long as its better than putting it in a stack of T shirts.
>>64330363Lean them against the wall you fucking pussy.
your closet. there aren't very many places to hide them from an intruder, so just keep them out of sight.and a handgun under your pillow to keep the demons away.
one in the toilet tank in a ziploc in case someone breaks in while youre takin a shit/shower. thank me later

>>64330363How many long guns are you trying to conceal, and how long are we talking? How many handguns? Closet is probably fine. Duct tape or Velcro under a table/dresser/shelf is fine for a handgun, but most long guns are too heavy, and removing them from such a thing is tedious - can't say for sure though because I don't know what you are trying to hide.

>>64330363>SafeDon't need it unless you have a few really expensive guns or live with children. Any adult or teen won't be breaking into a locked door and if they would, you have bigger problems. Also, safes are not that expensive; $400 starting price for one is easy, considering the value of what you're putting inside. >but I dont have money for that either.Guns and shooting aren't for you if you can't afford something so small. You can easily spend $600 just on ammo to gitgud and if you aren't good, you don't deserve a gun.

>>64330363I built this before Tactical Walls hit the scene. Used a mirror my ex gf gave me, some extra time pieces and kitchen drawer sliders from Home Depot and framed in between the studs in my apt wall. Cost around $40. Patched up when I moved out and got my deposit back. The trick is making the side where the mirror moves look like part of a solid 360 degree frame. The drawer sliders are great bc they drop down when fully closed requiring a little bump up to open when mounted like this so even someone probing around the rake isn’t going to feel any movement. 1/3

>>64331032Picrel shows the kitchen drawer sliders at top and bottom, inner frame to obscure the seems. The top, bottom, and left side 1/2” trim is affixed to the mirror while the right side is where is locks up when closed. I’m not Mr. Carpenter fyi.

If burglars aren't already inspecting curiously thick wall hangings they will be soon. I've got an actual secret room in my house with a decoy gun safe in plain sight. It's the only way to go, really.
>>64335083it wouldnt if it was a bookstore. bookstores are invisible to nigger eyes
Hey Anon,I have a safe now, but when I was young and broke I bought a chaise lounge with storage on -I think- Wayfair and put it together. This thing sat in my room for a decade, full of guns. When I was like 23 or so, I was dating a really liberal school teacher and she asked me once why I have a chaise in my room, she used to lay on it trying to look cute. I cracked it open for her and she was horrified, cried, called me a psycho, she calmed down and we fucked like 20 minutes later. Anyway…. Nobody would ever suspect it’s full of guns, I still have it and keep extra mags and such in it. I don’t think it cost 200 dollars.Picrel is from around the time I banged my crying ex.

>>64336103>surprise Beretta 1934. Great pistol. I had an L shaped Ikea couch with about the same chaise lounge storage thing on one side and also hid guns in it. It’s a good Idea, OP, couch don’t typically double as storage. Would be even better if you can devise a latch to hold it shut too. I used to hide some long guns under my wide table height dresser too. It had a cavity underneath and was low to the ground and sunk in to the carpet a bit so you couldn’t see them unless you laid on the ground and shined a flashlight under it. You couldn’t take the guns out without tilting the dresser up.

>>64336723Thanks Anon,My grandfather brought it back from North Africa along with some other Kraut and Italian things. He carried it all through WWII since he wasn’t issued a sidearm.I shoot it from time to time, it’s pleasant, the mag release on the heel is a pain, but whatever.
>>64336901I thought that was a cheetah for a second. Thank god it isn't because I'm fucking broke right now. Also,>Italian LE trade-in>M1934 (~60s mfg)You have to wonder how long they used these things lol. I mean the bluing is very well kept on most of them, even the really internally rough ones in the reviews, so who knows. Maybe they mostly just sat. Still, a hell of an old gun for LE use.
