Anyone who says “Ben Stoeger” is gay.
>>64339460Post groups
>>64339480What is red dot? 25?
>>64339491Red is at 25, the rest was at 7
>>64339500Damn, nice work for 25.
Anyone who says “Post groups” is trans.
What are your hottest handgun takes? 96% of modern handguns have unparalleled reliability and accuracy. Almost every gun owner will never outshoot whatever they buy. "Gun feel" and trigger quality are overrated; your gun spends almost all of it's time in a case or your underwear drawer or taped to the back of your toilet. The only thing that matters about your handgun is if you carry it and train with it.
>>64339505The fliers are just me, I called the hits out of the black but they were still tight. I want to get a ransom rest so I can objectively test the accuracy of my gun and ammo
>>64339521It's the surest sign they've lost an argument and have to resort to other measures in order to feel like they "won"
Another 300 rounds through the BG 2.0, another 9 light strikes with 150 rounds of the AAC ammo. The 100 rounds of magtech and 50 of S&B ran flawlessly. Left two are what the primers look like that pop, right is a light strike on the AAC. Theres definitely some firing pin drag happening, but idk if that's a symptom of my issues or just a quirk of a tiny pocket pistol. Can any other BG 2.0 owners sound off if their primers look similar? On the way to the range I saw a car shot up 2 minutes from my house on the back of a tow truck. Tons of cop cars around it and people gawking, shut down the whole damn street so bad I had to take a detour. I pocket carry this BG 2.0 everywhere I go especially to and from work, and would prefer not to have to send it back to S&W to fix unless I have to.
>>64339630>found popped primers in my AR lower after shooting AAC 77gr>inconsistently seated 7.62x39 with one dud out of 40 roundsAAC is shit all around and you should not base the functionality of your gun on that absolute range trash ammo
>>64339630S&B chads... We won...
>>64339530What argument? You barged into the thread with a link to some literal who's Twitter post and demanded /hg/ implode over drama between Ben Stoeger and his wife. When the only response was "post groups or fuck off" so you chimped out. We have no reason to believe you're anything other than a brownoid tranny attempting to derail the thread.
>>64339687He's gonna deflect with "but what about muh forced reset trigger", which is kinda weird, because he's the only one talking about FRTs. Very bizarre strawman behavior.
New qualifier/challenge for October will be the Jack o lantern. On the same B8 black or really any round target, draw a Jack o lantern. This means making groups of all touching holes to make the eyes, nose, and mouth. Difficult! The range will be up to you but please note it and don’t lie.
>>64339748my range does a pumpkin shoot, so maybe i'll just do it on a pumpkin
>>64339748Got an example of one? How are we supposed to get the sharp edges? Or is the point to have 4 groups of touching holes on paper
>>64339850just shoot a face onto a target and at the end of the month we'll vote on who made the funniest/best face
>>64339862The troon-o-lantern, future-doctor-o-lantern, or an "N" will probably win, but I'll participate for fun with something normal.
>>64339873lol, if someone can actually shoot a 'jak onto a target, they deserve the win
>>64339850Just draw a face, if you think you can do the sharp edges go for it. It’s an art contest
>>64339524>What are your hottest handgun takes?Handguns are terrible for home defense and I wish everyone who post here asking about what they should get for HD would just go and buy an AR15 with a sling and light and be done with it.
>>64339748This is super fun, but honestly if I want it to look good I'll probably have to do it at 5 yards
>>64339873if you can make a troon or a future doctor, or even a big N (and other anons do I, G...) it would be impressive still.Anything, the target is your canvas and your handgun is your brush.
>>64339891Good point>>64339945And this general is my trash bin. If the distance isn't specified then 3 yards is pretty feasible. Just need to remember not to shoot too high up or you'll blow a hole in the ceiling downrange.
>>64339978the distance should be reported but I'm more interested in nice looking targets for a collage than telling people to try this at 25 yards
>>64339687>tranniesHe said the line!!
>>64339748>>64340043Drawing a face at 25y would be really tough even from a rest, we're talking 2-3" dispersions around point of aim on a 10" wide circle. Offhand its just going to look like shotgun blasts lolI think I could do something okay at 10 yards but being honest if we're wanting touching holes 5 yards would be reasonable. And I think that might still be tough due to the optic offset. Like you go to aim right next to a hole you just made and your impact is 1" low because the bullet hasn't hit convergence yet, something to keep in mind

>>64340237You can buy the targets off Amazon B8c or B8 repair Center. 20 cents each I’ll accept late applicants
>>64340247>had to spend $150 on new night sights because thats what the LGS hadWow, you've doubled the value of the gun!
>>64339524Handguns are more important for civilians because they will (God willing) never see a war in their life. Also because more people live in urban areas now.You should still get a rifle and shotgun regardless, and multiple if you can.
>>64339524Hottest take. All guns other than a good 2011 are cope. I know it’s a hot take but it’s a belief I’m currently grappling with. Never take the 2011 pill, you can’t go back.
>Beretta never made a 92 that takes .45 ACP>Beretta never made a PX4 Compact that takes .45 ACPWhat the fuck, Beretta?
>>64340276The mini cougar in 45
>>64339524The 2011 is not suitable for duty usage and is only for gamerfags
>>64340268Idk, having a decent but not particularly amazing grip and trigger pull anything under about 6lbs produces the same results unless its comedy tier in the trigger department. If I fuck up it was me fucking up the fundamentals. I don't shoot a good 1911 appreciably better than a stock glock. The lack of drop safety and hoops you have to jump through for maintaining good reliability just make them a nonstarter for me.
>>64340298Counterpoint: There are better options than a stock Glock in the 9mm striker category.
>>64340268Yet I've noted many 2011s fail to make it through a 500 round class with out the student constantly struggling with malfunctions.
>>64340298Mine hasn’t failed me yet (in a non easily fixable way) but I really like the grip and its thickness. I haven’t tried the CZ/euro style grip angle it seems everyone is moving towards. I really like them, I like how they cycle, I like how they look. I like building them, I want to build more
>>64340325Forgot, standard grip angle on top, new style on bottom. Everyone seems to be doing that style and it’s almost to the point where the classic style is the minority
>>64340313I haven’t exposed my gun to dust or sand yet
