do you carry a medical/trauma kit in your BOB/combat kit? in my smallish backpack, i've put together a few things for major wounds. i also have a larger duffel bag which i consider my real BOB that has some emergency/freeze dried food, a mylar blanket, bottled water, paracord, some spare ammo, lighters, other non combat essentials. but if i were ever on the move, i would probably carry my backpack and leave my duffel bag somewhere safe so my immediately important things go in my backpack.>8 rolls of 3"x36" gauze for wound packing, individually wrapped>another large clean cotton rag for multipurpose use like water filtration (plus a lifestraw for actual purification), wound packing, cleaning, etc.>6 individually wrapped gauze pads for cleaning, wound packing, treating minor wounds>4 packs of bleedstop hemostatic agent>1 CAT tourniquet (not pictured, i moved it into my backpack from my main BOB after pic taken)>plastic bags for multipurpose use, protecting things from water, makeshift chest seal>3 rolls of adhesive wrap>small roll of medical tape, breathable, durable, and easily torn by hand>1 large bowie knife, 1 smaller pocket knife>1 swiss army knife with scissors and other tools>paper and sharpie for any note taking>antihistamines and nsaids in case there is no immediate medical services available. ibuprofen strictly for injuries that involve limited bleeding like a simple bone fracture>few packs of alcohol swabs for disinfecting>small sewing kit in an altoid tin which could double down as emergency suture as a last resortam i missing anything important? i've considered adding some sort of antiseptic like povidone iodine but i'm not sure if the space is worth it because this kit is only intended to help someone survive for a few hours, tops, until they can get professional medical help. i suppose it could be useful for a true SHTF scenario though.pic rel. also post your BOBs/kits
also after going through my main BOB, i realized i didn't have any gloves. so i put 2 pairs of nitrile gloves into a plastic baggie and added that to my kit

General consensus is there's little to no benefit flushing or cleaning a wound with antiseptic vs tap water but in a natural disaster where everything is filthy and you might be waiting a long time for care then it's probably worthwhile.>SAM splint if you have space. Worth it if you need to limp to a hospital or aid station or whatever.

>>64340427lifestraws arent really a meme, they're just the popular version. 1 fixed blade knife, 1 spare knife, and a multitool which happens to have a knife. i have toilet paper in a bag that i can use as tinder. no bottles cause my main duffel has 4 bottles of water. my strategy is to get in my car and drive west to my parents house in a rural part of the country about 200 miles away. drive as far as i can and walk if i need to. i imagine the most likely scenario is civil war in 2026 if elections are openly rigged like i imagine they will be. massive riots and states openly defying the elections which will result in military being sent to states and that's a powder keg ready to blow. republicans cannot afford to have a democrat president take power while they're still alive. there will absolutely be retribution and theres no line they won't cross to make sure they stay in power. a democrat can come in and just undo everything they did plus punish them for doing it. both sides want blood, they just don't want to make the first move. republicans have been pretty outright corrupt at this point, openly lining their pockets and testing their use of the military against american cities.this bag plus my main duffel has food for 2 weeks, spare water, extra socks, and other things in it. i don't really feel like taking apart my main bag though. but my plan is to regroup with family and take shelter.
