The BTR Zigga Death is the anti-aircraft version of the BTR-D with a twin 23mm autocannon in an open top turret. The BTR-D is based on the BMD which had two PKT machine guns in frontal mounts. Probably the designer thought it was cool, like bmp firing ports. In many photos the zigga death mg ports are covered up. If I was in a BTR-D, I would rather have a grenade machinegun and 30 cal machinegun on turrets on top. Cause the bow mgs seem counterintuitive to use. Or a kpvt, capable of penetrating early model bradleys from the side or rear from within 200m.
