Is Sig ever coming back from the 320 backlash and improve their reputation? their other products are by no means perfect, and there are no perfect guns they all have their caviats, but things like the Xmacro are so good that sucks how their PR deparment shat the bed.
>>
sure is funny how p320s stopped going off after that one air force guy got arrested.
>>
the fact that the p320 has gone through like 2 or 3 separate incidents where it was found to not be drop safe plus the fact that sig is up to some kikery with the us military means i'll never buy a sig in my life

How could any of the seething, defeatist, terminally negative, noguns, noshoots turbofaggots on this God forsaken board know? And why would you ask them?
>>
>>64358580
Glocks aren't perfect you fanboy, they have issues with feeding systems, eject and even to fire bullets, plus the material used to make them are average AT BEST.

Glock 44 and 19 are some of the most troublesome ones so don't come here with that bullshit.
>>
>>64358549
handgun contrarians move in a perfect circle around Glock, right now the clock hands are at the M&P, moving steadily to Dagger but I suspect in about 2 or 3 years the contrarians will come back around to Sig after a brief H&K period.
>>
>>64358563
Untrue. It's just getting old so people aren't making 10 yt videos per week about it anymore.
>>
>>64358549

Not an argument fanboy, glocks are cheap for a reason and that is a fact no matter how hard you try to cope. Other brands have minor problems or just one or 2 products being defective, glock is literally the mcdonalds of handguns.

Try again sweetie.
>>

>Is Sig ever coming back from the 320 backlash and improve their reputation?
First of all, their reputation hasn't suffered too badly. early gen MPX, MCX, Cross, and P365 all had problems and they still have tons of fanboys and make tons of sales. Second of all, even if their reputation was as bad as you claim, people have short memories; if they improve and a decade passes, it will be as if there was no problem in the first place. Look at Kimber; they fixed their reputation (and QC) after Ron Cohen left, and now there are people convinced that "the guns never had problems, and it was just haters spreading memes."

Well I was going by Full Size 9mm guns, and while technically the Glock 19 is not a full size, it does shoot like one and has similar capacity to guns bigger than it.
Also if we weren't trashing Sig, I'd include the P226, and I am considering one next year
>>
>>64359104
>Wait until the full story of the XM7 comes out.
The M7 is another poorly designed MCX shooting a cartridge that's an inferior rip-off of Shellshock's NAS3 patent. It's bad, but everyone who already saw how awful the MCX was knew it was coming. As long as the M250 is good (that remains to be seen), the military will continue to cover up the shortcomings of the NGSW program.

I doubt it since people really despised what Sig did in terms of both the issue and the handling thereof for the same reason why people loved Sig in the first place: its past reputation.
Sig had a strong reputation for quality products like the Sig P226 and then not only did they release a defective product that they once recalled but the problems resurfaced, they tried to cover it up and play the victim of "frivolous lawsuits."

I work at a gun shop and I’ve had like one guy looking for a 26 in the past several months, while it’s pretty normal to sell a couple of 43X’s in a day. What is the actual appeal of SIG? They have some cool historical models, the rest of their stuff is basic and sleep-inducing as hell. They don't even sell the 550 in the US so their best thing isn't even acquirable to normal people who don't want to pay pre-ban prices. H&K has their GWOT war crime chic, Glock is Glock, what does SIG have other than hollow fanboyism and rapidly deteriorating quality control?
>inb4 they work
Ok, so does every other gun that isn't a known piece of shit. Why SIG specifically though? Are people just in love with the brand that much?
>>
>>64359714
The numbers don’t lie, and I’ll say it’s not necessarily the 26 as it is subcompact Glocks in general. The 26, 27, 29, 30, etc., are so unpopular we don’t even stock them in store anymore, they’re only available as an online order.

Literally the only reason people are clocking to the 43x is because single stack is popular right now. It's an objectively less pleasant pistol to shoot, and is also less concealable due to the long grip. Just because people are buying the current fad club doesn't mean the 26 is inferior. You deserve the minimum wage you make.

People jack off to Glocks because Police trade-ins are literal dirt cheap and while nobody will think you've got hot shit if you got a glock, they won't think ill of you either.

Glock PD trade in is the minimal viable buyin for someone looking for a gun. Its the BCM AR15 if you could buy it at PSA prices. And because every fucking loser twink wanting to larp oper8t0r makes their first purchase their entire identity, and ypu end up spending new Glocm prices to get a Gen 3 G19 into not sucking territory, you get the cult of Glock. In the case of the P320, it's the FCU-based modularity with a lot of aftermarket
In the case of the MCX, it's because somehow, it outperforms other competitors in testing (probably durability, definitely not accuracy), particularly with shorter suppressed variants.
The Cross bridges the gap between hunting and precision shooting. Not as heavy as PRS rifles, more featured than regular hunting rifles, probably right at home in NRL-type matches.
Their MSR series is still king of the poors, although Arken is probably right there with them.
Their thermals are competitive.

They won't get any government contracts anymore unless due to corruption, which Cohen engages in a lot of, quid pro quo deals. Civilians will still buy them, so they'll basically become a Ruger. Not high enough quality to really bet your life on but decent enough for range toys and civilian carry guns.

Title: Why the “Three Rules” Are for Beginners — Professionals Know Better

Look, I’m not trying to start a fight here, but I think a lot of you guys need to broaden your understanding of firearm handling beyond what they teach in your NRA 101 course. The so-called Three Rules of Gun Safety (you know, “keep your finger off the trigger,” “don’t point the muzzle at anything you’re not willing to destroy,” etc.) are great for beginners, sure — but for those of us who operate in more dynamic environments, they’re frankly too restrictive.

When you’re doing advanced manipulation drills, competing, or operating tactically (some of you wouldn’t understand), you can’t always treat the weapon like it’s loaded. Sometimes you need to flag your own body or others momentarily to maintain flow. The professionals know this. Watch any high-level operator run a course — finger’s already on the trigger before the sight picture’s even formed. That’s not “unsafe,” that’s efficiency.

Rule #2 about “never pointing a gun at anything you don’t want to destroy” — okay, well tell that to someone clearing a tight hallway or moving through a live-fire shoothouse. You have to accept a little risk if you want to move fluidly. That’s the difference between a hobbyist and someone who’s trained.

And before anyone jumps on me, yes, safety is important — but so is realism. The “rules” were written for people who don’t understand the nuances of tactical gunfighting. Real operators have muscle memory and situational awareness that allow them to bend those rules.

The problem is, a lot of you cling to those three rules like they’re scripture. They’re not. They’re training wheels. Once you learn balance, you take them off.

Anyway, just some food for thought from someone who’s spent a lot of time on the range doing more than just punching holes in paper.

>PDP is kind of hideous
i really like the PDPs aggressive looks
the raised honeycomb grips is not only functional and feels nice, but it's unique and looks way better than the generic sand paper on most modern polymers, and way better than the genital warts bumps on P99
the grip texture is easily the worst part of the P99

P99 slide has nice lines but it's too flat and plain and looks dated, unlike something like the USP which is also flat but has much more beautiful lines
PDP slide isn't as romantic as either, but far more functionally aggressive

my favorite part of the P99 is its silhouette, which is similar to the compact PDP
