I know I did for years and years. A 00 projective with the standard 1325fps still carries most all that velocity at 10 yards (obviously) and each projectile hits with about 174ft lbs. with 9 of them that’s devastating. But at 50 yards you’re down to 950 fps and at 100 yards it’s 767 fps. That’s only 107 and 70ft lbs respectively. I won’t act like those can’t still be lethal and that they wouldn’t hurt, but that’s a not very heavy projectile moving not very fast with piss poor sectional density. Effectiveness is marginal at best. Shotguns aren’t meant to be used that far away. Doesn’t mean they can’t be, but they aren’t good at it.
