Why such a small boom? what atacms with cluster warhead doing?
>>
>>64362155
Likely a small drone hitting the radar.
>>
>>64361921
What the fuck why is the radar being humped by the TLERs like dumbass WoT and WT players getting their teammates killed by artillery?
>mfw those players were just future mobniks
>>
>>64361937

>>
What is the go-to target when attacking these systems? I assume the control unit and radar would be more important to take out than the launchers?
>>
A small drone is enough to ruin the radar forever THOUGH
>>
>>64362241
The radar and the control unit, without them the launchers are completely blind. Add to that the fact that they are the most expensive and hard to replace part of a SAM battery and you have yourself a go-to target.
>>
>>64361921
Decoyim
>>
>>64362014
the fire control radar
you can see it is attempting to paint a target because it isn't rotating and isn't in the home position
maybe the missile is already inside the minimum range by the time they can get a lock
>>
>>64361921
Wonder what the two trailer (?) huts are for. Crew accommodations wouldn't make sense, why keep them on your vehicles instead of stashed in a treeline. Anyways, yeah pretty clearly a 92N6 and a new(er) 55K6E command post on a BAZ-69092-012 chassis (the older ones were on a different chassis). The middle BAZ might be crew transport?
Either way, the 92N6 was definitely the priority target there. You can have any number of TELs and command posts and they'd still be useless without an engagement radar.
>>
>>64362241
In order of priority radar > command post > TEL. The command post is eh actually, if you can catch the crew inside it then it'd be a pretty valuable target but you can clearly see the crew running for their lives. Otherwise, the electronics aren't particularly hard to replace, the expensive processing is all done radar-side, the command post just collates the data from the radars and transmits to the launchers. The radar is harder to replace and a critical part of the system.
>>
>>64361921
You can see the crew running away. Looks they had warning something was coming.
>>64361937
>4

>>
>>64362327
The radar is pointed basically right at the observer drone
>>
>>64362340
Yea, looks like they were able to notice there was a drone in the area looking at them and decided it's best to gtfo.
>>
>>64361921
Wouldn't it make sense to send in planes to take out launchers after that hit? Do they have overlapping air defense radars ranges?
>>
>Over the past day in Crimea, UAVs: wounded 4 servicemen; hit the radar of the S-400 air defense system from the military unit 44750; destroyed the S-400 launcher, the command post received minor damage, and a soldier was wounded.

You just have to use the court style method for figuring out what's true. Figuring out who is credible and trusting their testimony, especially when it lines up with the testimony of other credible sources. Unfortunately a fair few western sources trashed their credibility hard over the last 20 years, which makes the west far more vulnerable to firehose of falsehood tactics than it used to be.
>>
>>64362917
I had this whole thing I thought up of as a plausible explanation for why they're doing this, It was about how they didn't want the omnidirectional antennas to give away the position of the command post and radar and whatnot. Then I remembered they were doing this all the way back in 2022, so the explanation I came up with goes out the window (along with, I presume, the air defense commander in charge of this battery).

Why are they all so bunched up together? I mean there must be a reason other than not having long enough cables or laziness and incompetence.
>>
>>64361937
That's how they set them up in the propaganda photoshoots, so that's how mobiks think they're supposed to be set up.
>>
>>64364904
The Russians have had them clumped up since the start of the war, even when emplaced, the revetments are barely separated from each other. The only way it makes sense from a tactical perspective is if they're genuinely concerned over the Ukrainians homing in on their omnidirectional command antenna, but they've been doing this since day 1. Unironically the reason is probably cable length and an unreliable datalink at best, laziness/incompetence at worst.
>>
Was the deployment of long-range SAMs on the front lines intended to put pressure on flying objects in Ukrainian airspace?
>>
>>64361937
A supply sergeant sold all most of the unit's coax cable for vodka money in 1994.
>>
>>64361937
It's Russia, so suggesting better dispersal probably makes you into a prison bitch or something.
>>
>>64362241
The radar is the most expensive part by far.
>>
>>64361937
they have a hard limit to how far the vehicles can be from each other as they need cabling. And thats very short, like 100 m max. Thats why a single HIMARS cluster can destroy command vehicle, radar, power generators and 3 launcers.

>>64365601

air defense operators are not easy to train. the US is pretty selective, not as selective as nukes or cryptographers but its pretty high.
>>
>>64367894
the evidence of them being a dime a dozen in russia is how badly their air defense does. ukes are using a lot of the same equipment in most places to greater success. russia's training regimens and military culture lost equipment it should have never lost, and they don't have time to even fix or acknowledge the issue even if they wanted to.

>>64370539
the doorbell is so incongruous and apparently innocent that you can't help but touch it. for example there are random bits of statues around the world that are worn from being stroked, simply because they're there. Doorbell Pusher simply answered l'appel du vide, or as the kids say now, the intrusive thoughts

on the other hand, poking a random strange drone with a stick involves at least 1 or 2 major misjudgements. a drone is very obviously a likely potential threat, it certainly might be Russian or Ukrainian. and poking it with a stick implies that the vatnik knows it might be dangerous enough not to touch with fingers, but somehow figured that a relatively short stick would somehow be safe. it implies a judgement has been made that whatever danger it might pose to fingers, SOMEHOW a stick provides sufficient range out of that radius.
personally I find that more retarded than the doorbell.
