Why did german tanks in ww2 always take down tens of allied tanks before going down?
>>
They didn't.
>>
Tiger 314 destroyed 39 Soviet tanks (T-34 & IS2) in a last stand during the battle for Berlin, on April 30th.
>>
They barely beat American tanks k/d wise and American tanks were designed go easier production and then to fit being shipped across the Atlantic

I knew once why those tanks had those horizontal lines but I forgot now

They didn't

>Le cannon goes "Bôumme"
>>

That's because Soviets had incompetent tankers.

Zimmerit. Anti magnetic paste that made it harder to use magnetic mines.

Germany's insane tank k/d ratios mainly come from the Eastern Front where the Soviets were shoving poorly trained crews into poorly built shitboxes. And even then, Soviet performance dramatically improved later in the war and the easy victories stopped after 1943.
>>
>>64372337
Magnetic mines that, hilariously, Germany was the main user of during WW2.
>>
>>64372260
Still lost so this thread is moot. Also they didn't.
>>
>>64372334
Yeah we can all acknowledge the blitz through Poland but French armor definitely surprised Germans initially. Unfortunately the krauts also had fucking radio-assisted comms with CAS and we’re able to call in same-hour dive bombings on targets which is nuts to think about.
>>
>>64372260
Because the Red Army tankers were just that bad

>german tanks in ww2 always take down tens of allied tanks
>always
No
>Tens
No.

Most of Germany's tanks were Panzers III and IV. There were also StuGs but those are technically not tanks. IIIs were inferior to just about anything by mid-war due to it's turret being too small to mount a 75mm tank killer. The Panzer IV did better but it was only ever the equivalent to the Sherman at best and was still a bit thin skinned.

Pack it in boys, we can't talk about WWII weapons anymore.
>>
>>64373098
I'd say there's a slight difference between talking about WW2 weapons and shoving your fist into your own asshole deep enough to grab your liver only to pull it out together with some completely unfounded information about a WW2 weapon because of some retarded personal belief about said weapon or its users are quite different, but you do you anon.
>>
This thread makes one wonder why it took the combined effort of the soviets, the USA and UK and some other minor Powers, back then, to wrestle down the 3rd Reich, if the germans were such incompetent losers?
>>
>>64373268
>yeah I got my ass kicked but uh at least it involved three guys kicking my ass

Yeah and two of the three are now criples and i am Just fine... Fuck off you fat fuck!

Also, a better analogy would be a group of different Gangs with a total of 1000 individuals fighting a group of only 100 and still get beaten up badly for most of the time.

Ah, the infamous Sherman. Often referred to as the 'Tommy Cooker' by the Germans.
The nickname referred to when the Germans starving from lack of rations, would scavenge destroyed Sherman tanks for the precious cooked meat inside. In fact, the designers of the Sherman designed it to light every time, so that cooking of the crews was guaranteed. Of course, the Germans would often eat the allied tank crews whether they were cooked or not, regardless. My grandpappy told me this in great detail when I was a young boy. Truly the horrors of war.

I heard that the U.S. Ordnance Department was aware of the Sherman being a 'Tommy Cooker', and attempted to implement various measures to address this issue. The design team was lead by Sheldon Rosenstein, a convicted child-beater, arsonist, and avid necrophiliac. Sheldon was reportedly pen-pals with Shiro Ishii, and Oskar Dirlewanger. When questioned about these letters outgoing to hostile countries, Sheldon replied that he was merely exchanging 'tips and tricks'. Sheldon's team designed a mechanism that would lock the crew hatches shut, thus trapping the crew, when smoke was detected inside the sherman after being penetrated and set alight. Not only that, but apparently there was also a following feature that was a re-take on the Brazen Bull. When the crew was burning to death, their screams would be amplified by speakers that projected outside the tank. The U.S. Ordnance Department justified these features by proclaiming that the Germans would be frightened by the hellish screams of the sherman crews being incinerated, and allied soldiers would be more motivated to fight hard, lest the same fate befall them. Sheldon also later devised a system that had a 1 in 59 chance of setting off an explosive charge in the ammunition storage every time the Sherman's engine was turned on. Supposedly, this was to 'test the crew's luck before battle'. This innovation was well-received by the U.S. Army, but was rejected for budgetary reasons. Upon receiving news of the Army's rejection, Sheldon bludgeoned his manservant to death with a fire iron in a fit of unstoppable rage. Years after the war, Sheldon tragically died in a fire, which he had started in a New York orphanage.

What's with all the low effort threads to stir shit between Germs and Mutts? Did Germany announce they're gonna take a fat shit on monkestan or something?

Germany was also allied with Japan, Italy and various other countries. It had never fought alone. Even in Poland, Germany had Czech troops forced to help them. The final battles in Berlin had French SS troops being the last to be defeated too.

you laugh but that was the reasoning behind expensive British biological and chemical weapon programs during WW2. they were terrified of what Germany might secretly have in store on that front because the German chemical industry was very advanced and they were a prolific chemical weapon user in WW1. intelligence didn't reveal anything about the German bio/chemical weapons, which scared the Brits even more because it must have been something truly horrible if Hitler was keeping it THIS secret.

meanwhile the truth was Hitler hated chemical weapons with a passion (he was a victim of one during WW1) and basically cancelled all funding for that shit the moment he came into power. Germany had basically nothing, while the Brits were breaking the Geneva Protocol left right and center and practicing anthrax delivery tactics, all to counter a threat that didn't exist.

because the allies suck.

i'll have to admit in early war those french tanks kicked our ass alot.
made our early tanks feel like they where made of tissue paper.
