I bought myself a vz 61 Skorpion a week ago and I really love it! It's exceptionally well engineered. Pleasant to shoot, accurate and really fun. The best part is, I bought it for ~$315 with full equipment (Europe).Post your Skorpions.
Anyone has a suppressor for these?
Skorpion SBR built on a Tortort receiver, 3 lug/threaded suppressor mount running a Spectre 9 suppressor. Runs great, bump fire is crazy fun. Running Original 1983 Czech S&B steel core surplus ammo, 100% reliable so far. 1050 FPS on average.
>>64375711That is very neat. Are you in the Czech Republic? Gun laws in Europe seem really hit or miss depending on the country and what you want.
>>64375711I think they are very cool and they are fun and controllable in full auto but i have zero use for one that isnt full auto or the desire to keep .32 or .380 around
>>64375813Poland. The gun laws here are all in all pretty good. There are some hurdles you have to go through to get a permit, but after that you can have pretty much anything, without most of the stupid restrictions like mag capacity limits. You can concealed carry. You can't have full auto though, but that how it is in every country sadly.
>>64375836My friend was telling me that there was no point in them unless full auto, I took him to the range and dumped a full 20 round magazine in about 1 second, these are super easy to bump fire if you have a stock. I was very easily able to control 3 round burst as well. Once you get the hang of its like "Wow, this is by far the easiest gun ever to bump fire". Also, the currently imported Czech Surplus .32 ACP is steel core (very light AP/ barrier blind), Euro pressure spec so its not weak 900 FPS garbage and .25 cents a round so its the cheapest ammo out there right now. Never been a better time to be a Skorpion owner.
>>64375836Yeah, it really is pointless for this gun to be semi auto only. If I'd ever shoot this gun in full auto I'd say it is very controllable and fun to shoot. Of course I didn't, that would be illegal.
cheapest vz61 in the US is 999, no stock
>>64375851you can't,I mean the law states that you can carry it on you "on your way to the range", but lawyers can't decide what "unloadedx means in the document. Some interpret it as mag out of the gun, others as "mag unloaded empty and both mag and gun are in the case".I guess we'll have to wait for a first trial of a guy caught walking the street with his gun.
>>64375926Might as well just buy a custom Samopal build on a tortort receiver at that point. Fuck spending $1000 on a gun thats not even going to be able to accept a factory stock when you SBR it for free in Jan.
>>64375981The law doesn't say anywhere "on your way to the range" and I'm pretty sure there were already plenty people "caught" walking the street with their gun. But let's not discuss it here, since this topic is not relevant to the thread.
Based thread. Nice guns.
>>64375724I got mine a few years back. That was more or less the main reason I bought a Škorpion.
>>64376348How is it mounted?
>>64376370Cap nut + collet around the barrel(suction cup)
>>64376439Thank you for quality post
>>64376348what the duck is this red thing?!?
>>64376494Looks like Old Spice body wash
>>64376494Its a bad dragon dildo I use for prostate stimulation.
>>64375711That's great, now you need some PSL stock, suppressor and a little autism to achieve ultimate fantasy.
The equipment for Skorpion. It's really cool that it fits in a holster.
>>64376672that's peak.>>64375711when are we getting rid of sbr shit
So I assembled my scorpion using a czeckpoint receiver and klobb kit with the 3D barrel. Right now snap caps and bullets gets stuck in the barrel. You can cycle the bolt but the caps/ bullets are really stuck in there. Read up on it and people are saying the feed ramps/ejector slot has to be polished.Anyone else dealt with this?Pic is the worst example I dealt with. I have not fired it yet.
>>64377488>3D barrelWhat does it mean? Not the original barrel? If it gets stuck in the barrel, it seems something is wrong with the barrel. Its chamber or its throat.
I have a Czech Small Arms with a .22lr upper on it at the moment. It's on my list of guns to sbr once the tax goes to $0.
>>64375711Very cool man! They look SO much better and cooler with the wire stock but it's so horrid to use I finally got rid of it. I know it looks gay but I hate owning guns I don't want to shoot and I just never wanted to shoot it lol>>64378843Is that a new one with no LRHO or one of the old ones with? Work well for you? Mine chokes on Federal but it's pretty good with CCI and Aguila
>>64375993damn wish I had known about tortort when I built mine on one of those cz receivers that take the dumb bolt on adaptorIt's been a few years though
>>643788073D is the manufacturer, klobb kit from bowman. Everyone else with this issue blames the feed ramps, not the chamber or the throat. Curious if anyone else here knew something.
>>64375894:^)
>>64376833Well it was meant as a sidearm for vehicke crews.
>>64378967No LRHO, bought it new a couple years ago. It works great, mainly shoot federal bulk pack. Only thing it has repeatedly choked on is cci subsonic ammo but I expected that.
I have one but haven't touched it in years since 32 ACP is really expensive in the US (nobody shoots it), and only PPU and S&B are hot enough to cycle the gun. I'm teaching my gf to shoot recently, so I might have to bring it back out again for her since it's such an easy gun to use.
>>64379777I've never had an issue with Fiocchi
>>64379777Reload
>>64378843>>64378967.22 conversionfuck. I didn't know that existed
>>64379742Ah, PM63 my beloved.
>>64379742Weird, CCI SV works in mien
>>64378843>Czech Small Arms>.22lrWhere do I buy this shit???
>>64381159Well I had the CSA vz61 and got the .22 upper from their website later.
check out the holster i got for mine, .380acp btw
>tfw wa statevz61 was the one I couldn't nab in time before governor turd ferguson banned buying handguns with magazines outside the grip. I've spent like $5k in the last few years buying shit they're about to ban, first it was $900 on standard capacity magazines, then a couple thousand on ar10 parts and a fun 10/22 charger, this year I'm stacking silencers. Vz61 will probably be my first purchase when I move across state lines and become an american again. I got the .32 bug pretty bad.
>>64381159vz58usa.com or Atlantic Firearms, though out of stock. They ain't cheap anymore though goddamn
>>64377488What brand of ammo? Snap caps are usually US spec ammo and not euro. Bronze box PMC and snap caps would get jammed in it. I tried polishing and smoothing the feed geometry, no dice. Euro spec spicy stuff runs great in it though. Just try and get heavier than 71 gr. Fiocchi and S&B make some.
Here't the inside of the lower receiver for those who haven't seen.
I'm always curious about how select fire/full auto guns are modified to be single auto only. In this case the modification is very easy and not very intrusive. All they did is they cut the 'claw' on the disconnector (marked with an arrow) which is normally held down to the right by the fire selector in full auto mode. Thus making the gun shot in both '20' and '1' mode single fire.
>>64384775This is how unmodified disconnector looks like.
>>64384701>>64384775>>64384778Neat!In the US ATF demands far more modification than that to preclude the possibility of easy restoration of full auto function. Ours don't even retain the rate reducer.
>>64384912Fun fact:Actually European Union banned converting military guns to civilian a few years ago. So my Skorpion is actually a brand new, this years production gun. It's just made from old parts :^)Pic rel. Kudos for the 'manufacturer' for making mandatory engravings under the grip. I've seen guns with engravings right in the middle of the receiver, which obviously looks terrible.
>>64384972Ah, you have a civilian version, I was confused. Czech here and full autos are technically A category and banned, but sometimes are A-1(banned, but with exception and legally cops can't deny the exception). Converted are either A-1 or B, so easy to get.
>>64384994>Ah, you have a civilian versionWell, converted, as described in previous posts.Fortunately, somehow the new EU gun laws didn't affect Polish gunowners. Only the sellers and the manufacturers.
>>64385050I kinda want to get the full auto vz 61 but that one is the exception on police's consideration. But the actual thing is like $200, it's nothing.
>>64384778Hm. HMMMMMM... That's fascinating, anon, thanks for the info.
Id really like to own one but im concerned about .32 surplus drying up here in the states. Our .32 runs like shit in euro guns
>>64385142 >Our .32 runs like shit in euro gunsWhy tho? Is it the case of >people have shitty guns that might explode on them so we better dodge that lawsuit by underloading our ammo.
>>64385192Idk why but the euro stuff seems slightly hotter and very slightly different case dimensions or something like that
>>64385208 What brand of .32 is most true to the John Moses Browning specifications? That's what bothers me, because here, the .32 ACP is called 7,65 Browning.
What's the recommended tape to wrap up two mags with?I will most likely use my skorpion as my truck gun, figured it would get the capacity needed with two mags taped together. Blue masking tape didn't do it so I was thinking electrical tape?
>>64386627Electrical tape, choose your color wisely
>>64375711>~$315 with full equipment (Europe)Holy based anon. Don't forget to grab extra mags, they're starting to dry up in the US which means we'll drink you guys dry to keep it coming. >>64375781Supremely based anon, I thought I was the only one. Such an excellent setup and the stock still folds. Half the fun of them is that they can be suppressed so quietly. >>64375855>Also, the currently imported Czech Surplus .32 ACP is steel core (very light AP/ barrier blind), Euro pressure spec so its not weak 900 FPS garbage and .25 cents a roundYou're talking that stuff Royal Tiger currently has? Is it still subsonic? Is barrier blind worth anything in a subsonic 73gr?
>>64386649>extra magsYeah, I have five 20rds and one 10rds. There's a guy here selling second category mags for ~$15. Like new condition ones are usually for ~$25
